Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2017 Saxum "Paderewski Vineyard" Paso Robles Red Blend (97VN, 95JD, 94RP, 93WS). Vinous: "Opaque ruby. Powerful, deeply pitched black and blue fruit, candied licorice, violet pastille and fruitcake flavors are braced by a spine of juicy acidity and a hint of smoky minerals. Stains the palate with densely packed cassis, bitter cherry and blueberry flavors that pick up exotic spice, cola and dark chocolate on the back half. This deeply concentrated wine shows remarkable clarity and litheness for its richness and finishes extremely long and spicy, with a resonating floral note and chewy, steadily building tannins. Starting Bid: $70.00
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2017 Saxum "James Berry Vineyard" Paso Robles Rhône Blend (99JD, 97VN, 96RP, 95WS). Jeb Dunnuck: "I was able to taste the 2017 James Berry Vineyard beside the perfect 2016 and there’s not much difference between these two sensational wines. The 2017 reveals a deep ruby color as well as more straight, focused, yet beautifully concentrated style that reveals gorgeous black raspberry and blackberry fruits interwoven with pepper, spring flowers, earth, and incense. Pure, full-bodied, flawlessly balanced, and an incredible wine any way you look at it, give bottles 2-3 years and it’s going to evolve effortlessly for 15-20 years." (11/2019)
Bid on this 4-bottle lot of 2017 Saxum "G2" Paso Robles Rhône Blend (99JD, 96VN, 94RP, 92WS). Jeb Dunnuck: "The 2017 G2 Vineyard reminds me of a great vintage of Raymond Usseglio’s Chateauneuf du Pape Cuvée Imperiale. Flirting with perfection and one of the greatest Rhône blends I’ve tasted from California, it offers a smorgasbord of sweet black and blue fruits, crushed violets, flowery incense, and pepper." Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2017 Saxum "Heart Stone Vineyard" Paso Robles Red Blend (97JD, 96VN, 93RP, 93WS). Jeb Dunnuck: "There was a single foudre of the 2017 Heart Stone Vineyard, which checks in as a blend of 50% Syrah, 22% Grenache, 14% Graciano, and the rest Petite Sirah and Touriga Nacional that was mostly destemmed. Showing even better from bottle than barrel, it offers a stunning nose of ripe blueberries, black raspberries, ground pepper, and violets. Full-bodied, rounded, and seamless on the palate, it has a beautiful sense of complexity and purity paired with serious depth of fruit and opulence on the palate." (10/2019)
