Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2016 Dana "Onda" Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend.
Starting Bid: $405.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2016 Rhys Vineyards "Alesia" Anderson Valley Pinot Noir (91RP, 90BH, 90JD, 90JG). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2016 Alesia Pinot Noir Anderson Valley is unabashedly delicious, bursting with fragrant aromas of dried flowers, raspberries, wild plums and sweet forest floor. On the palate, the wine is medium-bodied, supple and satiny, with a juicy core of succulent, mouthwatering fruit that's framed by melting tannins. This bottling is already expressive, and I'd expect it to drink well for a decade, perhaps more. Note that this vintage hails entirely from Kevin Harvey's Bearwallow Vineyard...beginning with the 2016 vintage, appellation wines will no longer be produced under the Rhys Vineyards label, which henceforth will be reserved for vineyard-designate wines. Instead, Harvey's Alesia label, formerly used for wines from purchased fruit, is being re-introduced as a home for appellation wines--even though these wines will now be produced entirely from es

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2016 Bevan "Saunders Vineyard" Oakville Cabernet Sauvignon (98VN, 96JD, 96RP, 93WS). Vinous: "The 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon Saunders Vineyard is one of the most expressive wines in this range. Super-ripe red cherry, plum, mocha, spice and new leather infuse this sumptuous, creamy Oakville Cabernet. Russell Bevan and his team have done a tremendous job in coaxing out all the potential of this rugged hillside site. More than anything else, the Saunders has an element of brightness that completes the wines beautifully. Don't miss it. (AG)" (12/2018)

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2016 Clos des Papes Châteauneuf-du-Pape (100JD, 98DC, 97RP, 97VN, 97WS). Jeb Dunnuck: "Another perfect wine from this brilliant estate is the 2016 Châteauneuf-du-Pape, which matches the otherworldly 2007. A classic blend of 60% Grenache, 30% Mourvèdre and 10% Syrah brought up all in old foudre, this beauty's deep purple color is followed by a mammoth bouquet of kirsch liqueur, black currants, blueberries, Asian spices, and garrigue. Full-bodied, concentrated, and powerful, it nevertheless is as graceful as a ballerina on the palate and has ultra-fine tannins, a silky, seamless texture, and a finish that just won't quit. Hats off to vigneron Paul-Vincent Avril! " (08/2018)
Starting Bid: $255.00

Bid on this bottle of 2016 Myriad "Beckstoffer Dr. Crane Vineyard" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (98JD, 98RP). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Made up of 100% Cabernet Sauvignon, the deep purple-black colored 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer Dr. Crane Vineyard opens with seriously earthy notions of tilled black soil, mossy tree bark, morels and wet pebbles over a black-fruited core of cassis, freshly crushed blackberries and warm plums plus touches of unsmoked cigars and fallen leaves. Full-bodied and packed to the gills with complex mineral, earth and black fruit layers, it has a rock-solid structure of firm, ripe, fine-grained tannins and seamless freshness, finishing long with a provocative spiciness coming through. Drink through 2050. (LPB)" (10/2018)

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2016 Bevan "Tench Vineyard" Oakville Bordeaux Blend (97JD, 97RP, 97VN, 93WS). Vinous: "The 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon Tench Vineyard is racy and layered in the glass, with all of the textural creaminess that makes wines from this part of Oakville so alluring. Plush fruit, silky tannins and soaring aromatics make for a truly compelling Cabernet Sauvignon. Mocha, dried herbs, tobacco, menthol, licorice and cedar meld into the sumptuous finish. Time in the glass brings out terrific freshness in the dark red and purplish berry fruit. The 2016 is every bit as memorable from bottle as it was from barrel. (AG)" (12/2018)

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2016 Luciano Sandrone Barolo Horizontal, including 1-bottle of 2016 Luciano Sandrone "Aleste" Barolo (98RP, 98VN, 97W&S, 97WE, 97WS) and 1-bottle of 2016 Luciano Sandrone "Le Vigne" Barolo (100RP, 98VN, 95WS). Of the 2016 Luciano Sandrone "Le Vigne" Barolo,Robert Parker's Wine Advocate writes: "I absolutely adore this wine on every emotional and intellectual level. I can still taste it today, weeks after my first sampling. The Luciano Sandrone 2016 Barolo Le Vigne is a stirring and profound expression that pulls on your heartstrings. I found it to be unforgettable, quite literally, inspiring one of those celebrated "wow" moments that we wine lovers so desperately seek in bottle after bottle. Le Vigne is a clever blend of fruit from Baudana in Serralunga d'Alba (offering the power), Villero in Castiglione Falletto (shaping the precision), Vignane in Barolo (adding to the purity of the aromas) and Merli in Novello (that helps to flesh out the fruit). This int

James Suckling: "This is a fantastic syrah with lots of dried-meat, dark-berry and spice character. Some stone. Full-bodied yet very fruity and balanced. Juicy and bright. 60 per cent whole-berry fermentation." (03/2019)

Starting Bid: $90.00

Bid on this bottle of 2016 Scarecrow Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (100JD, 100RP, 98DC, 98VN). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Scarecrow is 100% Cabernet Sauvignon from two acres of old vines planted in 1945 by John Daniel and dry farmed. Very deep garnet-purple colored, the 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon comes sashaying out of the glass with tantalizing notions of violets, lavender, Black Forest cake, mulberries, tobacco leaf and fragrant earth with a core of warm cassis, kirsch, Chinese five spice, rose hip tea and cedar chest. The palate is full-bodied and super concentrated yet possesses great energy with vibrant red and black fruits and loads of mineral accents, framed by very ripe, super fine-grained tannins and fantastic freshness, finishing very long with the most incredible perfume. Hedonistically, undeniably and deliciously perfect. (LPB)" (10/2018)

Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2016 Orin Swift "Blank Stare" Russian River Valley Sauvignon Blanc. Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2016 Sauvignon Blanc Blank Stare gives a gregarious nose of ripe peaches, passion fruit and grapefruit with touches of cedar, dried herbs and fresh straw. Medium-bodied, it packs a punch with loads of citrus and tropical flavors supported by racy acid and finishes on a lingering herbal note. (LPB)" (03/2018)

Bid on this 4-bottle lot of 2016 Corison Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (95JG, 95WE, 93JS, 93WS, 92VN, 91JD). Wine Enthusiast: "In spite of a lightness to the palate weight, this is no doubt a serious wine. It's complex and integrated, with intriguing aspects of leather, earth and truffle. Soft and supple, it shows flavors of clove, tart red raspberry and cassis, and is deliciously memorable in every way. (VB)" (09/2019)

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2016 Rhys "Horseshoe Hillside" Santa Cruz Mountains Pinot Noir (99JD, 97RP, 96JG, 96VN, 93BH). Jeb Dunnuck: "One of the highlights in this report is unquestionably the 2016 Pinot Noir Horseshoe Vineyard Hillside, which is in the running for one of the greatest Pinot Noirs I’ve ever tasted from California. A thrilling bouquet of blackcurrants, crushed rocks, chocolate, and Asian spices all flow to a rich, powerful wine that doesn’t pull any punches with regard to depth of fruit or structure. While most 2016s have some upfront charm and accessibility, that’s not the case here, and this needs a solid 4-5 years of bottle age. It’s a magical wine, though, and readers should beg, borrow, or steal to get a hold of it." (02/2018)
Starting Bid: $570.00

Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2016 Fèlsina "Fontalloro" Toscana (98JS, 98RP, 96VN). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2016 Fontalloro is the best vintage of this landmark wine that I have tasted thus far. This is a very elegant vintage, with more volume in the mouth and precise notes of tar, licorice, camphor ash, resin and Indian spice. In a race between the highly competitive 2015 and 2016 vintages, I give a slight advantage to this wine. The warmer 2015 vintage shows more richness and exuberant fruit. However, this wine from 2016 offers a more focused and chiseled delivery. I am hopeful that this wine will continue to evolve and sharpen as it ages in the bottle. This is a beautiful wine to put aside in your cellar for ten years or more. (ML) 98+" (05/2019)

Bid on this bottle of 2016 MacDonald Oakville Cabernet Sauvignon (100JD, 98RP, 97VN, 96WS). Jeb Dunnuck: "Just a magical wine any way you look at it, this deep purple-colored beauty reveals a heavenly bouquet of crème de cassis, camphor, purple iris, and violets. It’s full-bodied and massive, yet still just dances across the palate with no sensation of weight or heaviness. While it’s already hard to resist today (and don’t feel bad for drinking a bottle), it has the purity, balance, and structure to keep for 3-4 decades. Hats off to the brothers Alex and Graeme MacDonald for this legendary wine." (01/2019)
Starting Bid: $550.00

Bid on this bottle of 2016 G.B. Burlotto "Acclivi" Barolo (97VN, 97WE, 96RP). Vinous: "The 2016 Barolo Acclivi is a deep, plush and hauntingly beautiful wine with tremendous power, dazzling intensity and remarkable richness. An ample, expansive and broad wine of striking inner perfume and sweetness, the 2016 is flat-out stunning. Crushed raspberry, mint, spice and blood orange infuse the 2016 with incredible depth and complexity before it finishes with mind-blowing intensity. All I can say is: Wow! (AG)" (02/2020)

Of the 2016 Schrader "Beckstoffer To Kalon - CCS" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon,Jeb Dunnuck writes: "The most structured and backward in the lineup, yet with incredible potential, the 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon CCS Beckstoffer To Kalon Vineyard is a monumental bottle of wine that ticked all my boxes. Made from 100% Cabernet Sauvignon aged 20 months in 100% new Darnajou barrels, it reveals a deep purple color as well as a myriad of blueberry and cassis fruits, candied violets, spice box, and licorice, with just a hint of background oak and a lead pencil note." (01/2019)

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2016 Bibi Graetz "Testamatta" Toscana Rosso (98JS, 96RP, 92WS). James Suckling: "A very beautiful and thoughtful Testamatta with aromas of earth, terra cotta, black tea, and lavender. Full-bodied, very layered and extremely polished with superb, soft tannins. Racy and very long. Muscular and formed but very, very balanced. Gorgeous richness and depth. Shows balance and wonder. " (07/2018)

Bid on this bottle of 2016 Realm "The Absurd" Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (100JD, 99RP). Jeb Dunnuck: "Lastly, and made with the idea of producing the best of the best (it’s the first blend the team put together), the 2016 The Absurd checks in as 66% Cabernet Sauvignon, 15% Cabernet Franc, 15% Merlot, the rest Petit Verdot brought up in new barrels. It’s a hedonistic dream offering incredible black and blue fruits, gravelly minerality, cold fireplace, smoke tobacco, and forest floor. Deep, layered, and straight-up massive on the palate, it’s another wine from this estate that stays weightless and elegant. Few wines can carry this incredible mix of richness and elegance, and this beauty is unquestionably one of the finest wines in the vintage." (09/2018)
Starting Bid: $420.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2016 Mending Wall ''Tournahu Vineyard''Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (95JD). Jeb Dunnuck: "From a tiny 6.75-acre vineyard in St. Helena composed of rocky, darker soils, the 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon Tournahu Vineyard is a full-bodied, forward, fleshy, even flamboyant effort that’s loaded with earthy black fruits, tobacco, and chocolate. With moderate tannins, fruit galore, and some Old World, savory, meaty characteristics developing with time in the glass, drink this total crowd-pleaser over the coming 10-15 years or more." (01/2019)
Starting Bid: $150.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2016 Casa Lapostolle "Clos Apalta" Red Blend Colchagua Valley (99JS, 96RP, 94WS, 93VN). James Suckling: "This is really focused and refined with fantastic dried flowers and dark berries. Dried-lavender and mint undertones. Medium-to full-bodied with refined and polished tannins that are all together and so focused. Really integrated and melted together on the palate. Compact and very linear. Please give this two or three years to come completely together, but it’s already breathtaking." (08/2019)
Starting Bid: $215.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2016 Bevan "Wildfoote Vixen Block" Stags Leap District Cabernet Sauvignon (97JD, 96VN, 95RP). Jeb Dunnuck: "Leading off the Cabernets and from a site in the Stags Leap AVA, the 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon Wildfoote Vineyard offers a thrilling bouquet of blueberries and blackcurrants to go with complex white flowers, violets, and hints of chocolate. With no hard edges, full body, and beautiful fruit, this Cabernet shines for its incredible finesse and elegance yet certainly doesn’t lack for power. It’s a brilliant wine." (01/2019)

Bid on this bottle of 2016 G.B. Burlotto "Cannubi" Barolo (100RP, 100VN). Vinous: "A breathtaking, positively riveting wine, the 2016 Barolo Cannubi brings together all the elements of the Burlotto house style. Rich, ample and deep with stunning intensity, the 2016 has so much to offer. All the elements are wonderfully fused together. The 2016 is a Cannubi of uncommon depth, but also has a certain darkness that gives it a feeling of great power and intensity. Bright saline notes add to its explosive energy. Fabio Alessandria vinified the Cannubi with manual pumpovers and punchdpowns, after which the wine spent a total of three weeks on the skins. The 2016 is a total turn-on - that's pretty much all there is to it. (AG)a" (02/2020)
Starting Bid: $335.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2016 Sine Qua Non "Dirt Vernacular" California Grenache (100JD, 98RP, 98VN). Jeb Dunnuck: "I called the 2016 Grenache Dirt Vernacular a perfect wine last year, and it’s still straight-up heavenly stuff that tops out on my scale this year. A blend of 78% Grenache, 11.5% Mourvèdre, 7% Touriga Nacional, and the rest Petite Sirah, it comes mostly from the Eleven Confessions Vineyard in the Sta. Rita Hills yet also includes fruit from the Third Twin, Cumulus, Bien Nacido, and Molly Aida vineyards. Aged 23 months in 38% new French oak, it offers awesome notes of kirsch liqueur, blackberries, ground pepper, leafy herbs, and graphite as well as a full-bodied, powerful, yet weightless style on the palate. It’s one of those wines that offer incredible intensity and depth, yet stays weightless, seamless, and elegant. It’s a magical wine and one of the greatest Grenache releases to ever come from California." (10/2019)
Starting Bid: $696.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2016 Maybach "Materium" Oakville Cabernet Sauvignon (99JD, 99RP). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Inky purple colored, the nose of the 2016 Materium Cabernet Sauvignon takes off and absolutely soars with incredible blackberry pie, warm blackcurrants, wild blueberries and kirsch scents plus underlying vanilla pod, milk chocolate, espresso and lavender suggestions. The palate is opulently rich and full-bodied, yet it has bold freshness and exquisitely fine-grained tannins supporting layer upon layer of perfumed fruit, finishing very long. Drink through 2040. Bid on this 4-bottle lot of 2016 Ridge Vineyards "Lytton Springs" Dry Creek Valley Zinfandel (95VN, 94JD, 94JS, 92RP, 92WS, 91W&S). Vinous: "The 2016 Lytton Springs is a powerful, dense wine. Black cherry, plum, lavender, new leather, cloves, licorice and menthol flesh out. Deep, plush and richly textured, the 2016 Lytton Springs packs a real punch. The 23% Petite Sirah is felt in the wine's darkness and overall gravitas. There is more than enough richness and structure to support many years of fine drinking. What a gorgeous wine this is. (AG)" (08/2018)

Bid on this 4-bottle lot of 2016 Quilceda Creek "Palengat Vineyard" Horse Heaven Hills Bordeaux Blend (96JD, 94RP, 93VN). Jeb Dunnuck: "The 2016 Palengat is mostly Cabernet Sauvignon blended with 11% Merlot and 6% Cabernet Franc, and it’s one of the smaller production cuvees. It’s a rich, full-bodied effort and has wonderful purity in its crème de cassis, graphite, and ample pencil lead like nuances, with an almost Pauillac vibe. With fine, sweet tannins, a great mid-palate, and considerable elegance and finesse matched up to classic Quilceda power and richness, it’s a beautiful wine to drink over the coming 15-20 years." (06/2020)

Bid on this bottle of 2016 G.B. Burlotto "Monvigliero" Barolo (100VN, 99RP, 99WE, 95JG). Vinous: "The 2016 Barolo Monvigliero is utterly spellbinding in its profoundness. In this vintage, the Monvigliero moves into shades of more blue-toned fruit. Whole clusters, always 100%, are remarkably integrated. Rose petal, lavender, mint, crushed flowers, wild red berries, blueberry, blood orange and mint are some of the many notes that grace this exceptional, silky Barolo. The 2016 was fermented with low temperatures and spent two months on the skins. With its laser-like focus and incredible cut, tension and nuance, the Monvigliero will be slow to reveal itself, but wow - what a wine. (AG)" (02/2020)

Crème de cassis, rose petals, menthol, ash, and smoky, meaty, soy sauce notes all emerge from this singular wine. Jeb Dunnuck: "The 2016 Syrah Estate Foothills Reserve is a selection from the estate vineyard and was aged 11 months in neutral oak followed by 13 months in bottle. Deep purple-colored, with terrific notes of blackberries, smoked earth, graphite, cedarwood, and salted meats, it hits the palate with slightly more structure and tannin than the straight In The Hills Release, yet has terrific balance, no hard edges, and a great finish. It needs 2-3 years of bottle age, but this elegant, classic Syrah from Reynvaan will see its 15th birthday in fine form. " (04/2019)

This 2016 offers a fresh, focused, yet seamless style to go with a huge bouquet of cassis, underbrush, violets, and hints of blood orange. Dense and powerful, the 2016 is endowed with striking depth and tons of character. The Petite tannins are nicely tamed in a wine that offers superb quality and pedigree. Crème de cassis, graphite, lavender and mint are front and center. The 2016 remains quite primary though, so readers need to be patient. (AG) 94+" (08/2018)

Pure perfection in Syrah, this beauty boasts a deep purple hue as well as a stacked bouquet of ripe blackberries, cured meats, scorched earth, white pepper, white chocolate, and bacon fat. Deep, full-bodied, and massively concentrated, it builds incrementally on the palate, with ultra-fine tannins, perfect balance, and a finish that won’t quit. I struggle to think of another wine that delivers this level of intensity without any sensation of weight or heaviness. The 2016s, in general, are relatively approachable, but nevertheless, do your best to hide bottles for 3-4 years." (10/2019)
