Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2012 Caymus "40th Anniversary" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (96RP). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "They appear to be immune to some of winedom’s less than intelligent trends and fads that we see from time to time, and the result is a spectacular 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon 40th Anniversary offering. Its dense purple/black color is followed by copious quantities of crème de cassis and blackberry fruit, silky tannins, a voluptuous texture and stunning purity as well as length. This full-bodied effort is a fabulous example of Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon as well as a tribute to this amazing family. It is so good now, why wait? However, I’m sure that like most vintages of Caymus, it will last for 20-25 years. Amazing! (RP)" (10/2014)
Starting Bid: $450.00

Bid on this bottle of 2012 Screaming Eagle "Second Flight" Oakville Bordeaux Blend (97JS, 96RP, 95JD, 94VN). James Suckling: "This is very structured with ripe and silky tannins that shows a dense and compacted fruit character. It's full and racy. Impressive tone and form. A blend of 43% Merlot, 48% Cabernet Sauvignon and 9% Cabernet Franc. " (07/2015)
Starting Bid: $550.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2012 Quintessa Rutherford Bordeaux Blend (96JS, 94RP, (91-94ST), 92WS). James Suckling: "Fabulous aromas of blackberry, tile and clay. Porcini undertones. Full-bodied, tight and polished with refined tannins and a long, long finish. Racy and beautiful. So long and linear. Goes on for minutes." (07/2015)
Starting Bid: $360.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2012 Altamura Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (95RP, 95WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Lastly, the 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon is 100% Cabernet Sauvignon aged a long time (36 months) in new French oak. This wine is brilliant. Dense blackcurrant fruit intermixed with a touch of barrique as well as licorice, forest floor, and underbrush are present in this cedary, full-bodied, opulent, dramatic and exuberant Cabernet Sauvignon. (RP)" (12/2015)
Starting Bid: $275.50

Bid on this 4-bottle lot of 2012 Ridge Vineyards "Pagani Ranch" Sonoma Valley Zinfandel (91CG, 91VN). Vinous: "The 2012 Zinfandel Pagani Ranch wraps around the palate with silky, perfumed fruit and tons of varietal character. The late harvest in this cool, Sonoma Valley site yielded a ripe, intensely aromatic Zinfandel with notable persistence and sweet, suave tannins. As opposed to many other Ridge's other Sonoma wines, Pagani Ranch is predominantly Zinfandel, and that is exactly what comes through. (AG)" (07/2014)
Starting Bid: $100.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2012 Epoch "Ingenuity" Paso Robles Rhône Blend (94RP, 92VN). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Another blockbuster, the 2012 Ingenuity Proprietary Red is comprised of 58% Syrah, 18% Mourvedre, 14% Grenache and 10% Petite Sirah that was fermented in concrete and stainless steel before spending 18 months in 40% new French oak. Ripe, voluptuous and textured, with beautifully managed tannic grip, it offers lots of black fruits, smoke, licorice, chocolate and hints of spice on the nose, with some saline minerality on the finish. Coming 80% from the Paderewski vineyard and 20% from Catapult Vineyard, it's a killer Paso red to enjoy over the coming 7-8 years. (JD)" (08/2015)
Starting Bid: $110.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2012 Haut-Bailly, Pessac-Léognan (96JD, 96RP, 96VN, 94DC, 94JS, 94WE, 93WS). Vinous: "The 2012 Haut Bailly is quite fragrant and inviting. Dark raspberries, mint, crushed flowers, spices and rose petals all lift from the glass in this feminine, gracious Haut-Bailly that offers considerable near and medium-term appeal. All the elements fall into place in an effortless, stunningly beautiful wine endowed with personality and class. One of the wines of the vintage, the Haut Bailly will drink well for two decades-plus. This is a superb showing from proprietor Bob Wilmers and his team headed by Véronique Sanders. The decision to lower temperatures in fermentation and go for a soft, gentle extraction, along with strict selection has paid off big time. (AG)" (01/2016)

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2012 Pride Mountain "Reserve" Sonoma-Napa Counties Cabernet Sauvignon (100RP, 95VN, 94ST, 93CG, 93JS, 93WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The incredible 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve is 96% Cabernet Sauvignon and 4% Petit Verdot treated identically to the Reserve Claret (40% new French oak aged in wood for 22 months prior to bottling). There are nearly 1,500 cases of this wine, with 60% coming from the Sonoma side and 40% from Napa. An absolutely amazing nose of camphor, lead pencil shavings, blackberry and cassis, some new saddle leather, a touch of spicy oak followed by a profoundly concentrated, multi-dimensional mouthfeel with gorgeous integration of acidity, tannin, wood and alcohol. This is a fabulous, seamlessly constructed Cabernet Sauvignon to drink now and over the next 15+ years. Kudos to Pride! (RP)" (10/2015)

Bid on this 5-bottle lot of 2012 Attilio Contini "Inu" Cannonau di Sardegna Riserva (93VN, 90W&S). Vinous: "Full ruby-red. Deep, complex aromas of black cherry, truffle and clove are complicated by flinty minerals. Very dense but juicy, conveying an impression of brooding energy to its flavors of red cherry, smoky plum and aromatic herb. Still youthfully imploded but displays lovely balance, sneaky concentration and a very long, vibrant finish. Well done. (ID)" (06/2016)
Starting Bid: $64.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2012 Futo Oakville Bordeaux Blend (99RP, 96VN). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The original wine from the Oakville Estate Vineyard is a relatively small cuvée of 546 cases. The 2012 Proprietary Red Estate is a blend of 72% Cabernet Sauvignon, 24% Cabernet Franc and 4% Petit Verdot. This is a drop-dead beautiful wine with an absolutely extraordinary nose of white flowers, blueberries, blackcurrants, licorice and camphor. Stunning forest floor notes also make an appearance in this ripe, full-bodied, opulent wine that is begging to be given a three-digit score. The silkiness of the tannins and the stunning purity of fruit of this unfined and unfiltered wine is simply breathtaking. This is just an incredible effort to drink now or over the next 30+ years. (RP)" (10/2015)

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2012 Wattle Creek Alexander Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (92RP). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon Vintage Select is another gorgeous Cabernet Sauvignon from Alexander Valley. With supple, sweet tannins, loads of blueberry, blackberry and cassis, a full-bodied mouthfeel, much sweeter tannin than in Wattle Creek’s other Cabernet Sauvignons, a multi-layered, full-bodied texture and length, the purity, richness and intellectual appeal are all there. Bid on this 4-bottle lot of 2012 Stags' Leap Winery "Audentia" Stags Leap District Cabernet Sauvignon (95RP, 94JS, 91WE). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Another extraordinary wine is the 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon Estate Audentia. This is 75% Cabernet Sauvignon and 25% Petite Sirah aged 20 months in a combination of new and neutral French oak. A very expensive wine, there are only 638 cases of it; this is meant for long-term cellaring for collectors. Notes of tobacco leaf, blueberry and blackberry liqueur, roasted coffee and spring flowers all jump from the glass of this powerful, rich wine that is singular in style and character. (RP)" (03/2016)
Starting Bid: $360.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2012 Alpha Omega "Era" Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (99WE, 98RP, 94VN, 93JS). Wine Enthusiast: "This blend from individual blocks includes 94% Cabernet Sauvignon, 4% Cabernet Franc and 2% Merlot. Juicy and round, it expresses chocolate, vanilla, dark cherry and cassis flavors and is a joy to drink and experience evolve. Despite plenty of ripe power and lushness, it also boasts substantial elegance. (VB)" (08/2017)

Bid on this bottle of 2012 Cheval Blanc, St-Emilion (97VN, 96JD, 95DC, 95JG, 95RP, 95WE, 95WS, 94JS). Vinous: "The 2012 Cheval Blanc boasts stunning power and a vertical, imposing sense of structure that is quite rare in this vintage. Dark and almost brooding in style, the Cheval is a rare 2012 that absolutely demands cellaring. Smoke, tobacco, incense and dark spices open up with time, but the 2012 is a reticent, tannic wine that is only showing the barest hints of its ultimate potential. This is a magnificent showing and one of the clear highlights of the year. (AG)" (01/2016)

Bid on this bottle of 2012 Marcassin "Marcassin Vineyard" Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir (97JD, 97RP). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2012 Pinot Noir Marcassin Vineyard, which comes primarily from the Calera clone (although I suspect there are a few mystery clones in their plantings), always seems to remind me of a grand cru from Burgundy’s Côte de Nuits, particularly Morey-St.-Denis. Dense ruby/plum, its sweet nose of strawberries, black cherry liqueur, fresh porcini mushrooms and forest floor is followed by a dark, full-bodied, rich and concentrated wine that is supple, dramatic, and even flamboyant. (RP)" (03/2016)

Starting Bid: $200.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2012 L'Aventure "Optimus Estate" Paso Robles Red Blend (94RP). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2012 Optimus is similarly sexy and polished, with brilliant blackberry, black cherry, licorice, chocolate and charred earth-like aromas and flavors, full-bodied richness and a seamless, forward and hard-to-resist style. (JD)" (08/2014)

Starting Bid: $200.00

Bid on this bottle of 2012 Angélus, St-Émilion (95DC, 94RP, 94WE, 94WS, 93JS). Decanter: "More delicate than the 2010, but still showing power and depth, with aromatics of smoke, violet and peony. The purity of the aromatics continues with the precision of the flavours. Nothing shouts too loudly, with the same pulses of salinity on the finish that you find in the 2010, helping to stretch and slow things out. A real success, just starting to soften and show its colours. Harvest October 8th to 19th. This was the year of promotion to Premier Grand Cru Classé A. (JA)" (09/2020)
Starting Bid: $347.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2012 Peter Michael "Les Pavots" Knights Valley Bordeaux Blend (OWC - (96-98RP), 97JS, 95WS) in original wood. Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2012s made from Bordeaux varietals include their flagship wine, the 2012 Proprietary Red Les Pavots, a sensational blend of 64% Cabernet Sauvignon, 20% Cabernet Franc, 11% Merlot and 5% Petit Verdot. A prodigious effort, it rivals some of the fabulous past vintages such as 1997, 2001, 2002 and 2007. The inky/purple-colored 2012 boasts classic notes of crème de cassis, roasted coffee, vanilla bean, cedar, forest floor and blueberries. Full-bodied and complex with sweet tannin as well as hints of charcoal and camphor, this opulent, multi-leveled, Bordeaux-styled 2012 can be drunk now or cellared for 25-30+ years. (RP)" (12/2014)
Starting Bid: $390.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2012 Janzen "Cloudy's Vineyard" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (96RP). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2012 Janzen Cloudy's Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon, which comes from the Dutch Henry Canyon area near both the Switchback and Hourglass Vineyards and sits at a 400-foot elevation, is certainly another stunner. It’s rare to see two Cabernet Sauvignons that eclipse anything from the Beckstoffer To Kalon Vineyard, but I think Jenzen has done that in 2012. One hundred percent Cabernet Sauvignon, the Cloudy’s Vineyard is opaque purple and displays richness and intensity in its notes of lead pencil shavings intermixed with cedar wood, fruitcake, blackcurrant and blackberry fruit. A wine of extraordinary intensity and a long finish, it should drink well for 20-25 years. (RP)" (10/2014)
Starting Bid: $160.00

Bid on this 4-bottle lot of 2012 Tenuta dell'Ornellaia "Ornellaia" Bolgheri Superiore (97JS, 94RP, 94VN, 93WS). James Suckling: "A tight and silky red with compacted fruit and tannin texture featuring blackcurrant, mushroom and bark undertones. Full body, firm tannins and a minerally finish. Excellent structure and mouthfeel. A cooler style of Ornellaia, bringing it back to the classicism of this celebrated region. Bordeaux blend. Better in 2018. " (08/2015)
Starting Bid: $596.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2012 Joseph Phelps "Insignia" Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (97JD, 97JS, 96RP, 96VN, 95CG, 95WE, 93WS, 92W&S). James Suckling: "Amazing aromas of blueberry, blackberry, mineral and bark. Complex nose. Full body plus super integrated tannins with superb balance and depth. Coffee and chocolate too. Very long and mind-bending. A tribute to the vintage. Drink or hold. A long life ahead of it. " (11/2015)

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2012 Anakota "Helena Dakota" Knights Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (96RP, (92-95ST), 92VN). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2012s are the most showy and forward of the three vintages, which is not surprising, since the vintage is flamboyant and they are already three years of age. Even as impressive, but showing more truffles, charcoal, graphite and camphor, along with blackberry and cassis, is the 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon Helena Dakota (1,017 cases). This wine shows even more fruit than its sibling and is bigger, bolder and slightly broader across the palate. All these wine are highly recommended and are brilliant efforts, but will probably need coaxing and patience in the cellar, given their rather bigger-than-life styles and richness. (RP)" (10/2015)

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2012 Alpha Omega "Beckstoffer To Kalon" Oakville Cabernet Sauvignon (97WE, 94RP, 93JS). Wine Enthusiast: "This 100% varietal, barrel-fermented wine from the hallowed site delivers a grip of tension and balanced weight, providing power within its layers of texture. Earthy and pungent with tobacco and herb scents, it offers leather, cedar and black cherry flavors in equal amounts, finishing with length and grace. (VB)" (08/2017)

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2012 Hall Diamond Mountain District Cabernet Sauvignon ((92-94VN), 94WE, 94WS, 93RP). Vinous: "Graphite, ash, smoke, incense and licorice all jump from the glass in the 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon Diamond Mountain District, a wine that is full of aromatic complexity, nuance and structure. The typical, rich lush Hall fruit is there, coupled with plenty of underlying grip and tons of Diamond Mountain personality. A brooding, backward wine, the 2012 is going to need time to soften. (AG)" (11/2013)

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2012 Hall Stags Leap District Cabernet Sauvignon ((94-98RP), (93-95VN), 93WE, 92WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon Stags Leap shows the breadth of richness, sweetness and opulence this vintage possesses. It is a head-turning, hedonistic, thrill-a-second wine. (RP)" (10/2013)
Starting Bid: $265.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2012 Bryant Family "Bettina" Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (96JS, 96RP, 94VN, 94WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The seductive 2012 Proprietary Red Bettina offers up a more Margaux-like femininity compared to the overwhelming power and richness of the Bryant Family Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon. This wine is a blend sourced from three of David Abreu’s vineyards – Madrona, Thorevilos and Lucia. Notes of Christmas fruitcake, underbrush, blackcurrants, black cherries, licorice and spice box emerge from this complex 2012. At this stage, it is more evolved and aromatically satisfying than the pure blue and black fruits of the Cabernet Sauvignon. Full-bodied and opulent with impeccable balance as well as purity, this wine is already hard to resist because of its surprising complexity and poise. Drink it over the next 15-20 years. (RP)" (12/2014)
Starting Bid: $630.00

Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2012 Ridge Vineyards "Three Valleys" Sonoma County Zinfandel Blend (90CG, 90RP, 90WE). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2012 Proprietary Red Three Valleys is composed of 82% Zinfandel, 12% Petite Sirah and the rest Carignan and Alicante Bouchet. This sexy wine (14.2% natural alcohol) reveals lots of raspberry and black cherry fruit, medium to full body, beautiful purity, delicate notes of spice, and no hint of oak. (RP)" (10/2014)
Starting Bid: $102.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2012 Hall Howell Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon (98RP, (93-95VN), 94WE, 94WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Part of what Kathryn Hall calls her Artisan Collection, the 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon Howell Mountain has a dense ruby/purple color and a glorious nose of boysenberry, mulberry and blueberry that soars from the glass and saturates the olfactory senses. This is one of the greatest Howell Mountain Cabernet Sauvignons I have ever had the pleasure of tasting, and I’ve had many a top one. With just a hint of graphite and beautiful well-integrated acidity, the new oak, which I’m sure is substantial – pushed way to the background because of the extravagant fruit and an unctuous texture – make for a near-perfect wine to drink over the next two decades. This is stunning, even profound, wine. Kudos. (RP) 98+" (10/2014)

Of the 2012 K Vintners "River Rock" The Rocks Syrah,Robert Parker's Wine Advocate writes: "The 2012 Syrah River Rock Vineyards comes all from The Rocks region of Walla Walla and was fermented with 100% whole clusters. Giving up massive minerality, with ground herbs, gunpowder, smoked earth, olive and assorted dark fruits, this beauty hits the palate with full-bodied richness, a layered, elegant feel and notable tannin that comes through on the finish. As with the Rock Garden Syrah, it should have 10 to 15 years of prime drinking. One of the highlight (and largest) tastings for this report, the team at K Vintners consists of wild man himself, Charles Smith, and Andrew Latta and Brennon Leighton. Despite the rock star persona, when it comes to the

Bid on this bottle of 2012 Harlan Estate Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (OWC - 99RP, 98JS, (95-97ST), 97VN) in original wood. Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: " The 2012 Harlan Estate is reminiscent of their 2002. Probably a candidate for perfection with another 4-5 years of bottle age, the wine is inky plum/purple to the rim and offers a gorgeous nose of scorched earth, blackberry and cassis, forest floor, and a floral, lavender-like component followed by deep, opulent, majestic flavors that caress the palate with high but sweet tannin. This is relatively evolved, and supple and voluptuous for a young Harlan estate -- hence the comparison with their compelling 2002. This wine can be drunk in several years and is likely another candidate for 30-50 years of cellaring. (RP) 99+ " (10/2015)

Wine Spectator: "This presents a riveting mix of jazzy, toasty, mocha-scented oak and firm, graceful notes of currant, dark berry, savory herb and loamy earth. Well-focused and persistent on the finish and impressively restrained. Drink now through 2027. 551 cases made. (JL)" (06/2015)

Bid on this 5-bottle lot of 2012 Quilceda Creek "Palengat Vineyard" Horse Heaven Hills Bordeaux Blend (94RP, 93VN). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "A single-vineyard blend of 59% Merlot, 29% Cabernet Sauvignon, 7% Cabernet Franc and 5% Petit Verdot, the 2012 Palengat Vineyard offers a deep, decadent style to go with classic blackberry liqueur, blueberry, graphite, toasted spices and licorice. A big, beefy, layered and full-bodied effort, it has building tannin, a supple mid-palate and terrific length. It should evolve nicely for 2-4 years and hold for a decade or more after that. This is another serious lineup by Paul and Alex Golitzin and I was able to taste their 2012s multiple times, once at my office in Colorado where I was able to follow the wines for multiple days, and then during a visit at the estate just north of Snohomish. In both cases they showed beautifully, with the ripe, exuberant style that's common in the vintage. When speaking about the '12s, Paul told me that it was

Of the 2012 K Vintners "Motor City Kitty" Columbia Valley Syrah,Robert Parker's Wine Advocate writes: "I loved the 2012 M C K Syrah from barrel last year, and it didn't disappoint from bottle this go around. Coming from all the sandy soils of the Clifton Hills Vineyard, it has sensational notes of sweet black raspberry, creme de cassis, ground pepper and spice to go with full-bodied richness, stunning purity of fruit and a blockbuster finish. A classic Charles Smith Syrah, this beauty has tons of fruit and awesome concentration, yet always stays balanced, fresh and lively. Drink it anytime over the coming decade or more. Bid on this bottle of 2012 Clos Saint Jean Châteauneuf-du-Pape (92RP, (89-91VN)). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2012 Châteauneuf du Pape is a beautifully Provencal effort that gives up loads of black licorice, savory spice, leather and sweet black cherry aromas and flavors. Medium to full-bodied, elegant and already approachable, it nevertheless has the tannic structure and concentration to evolve for 10-15 years. (JD)" (10/2014)

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2012 Morlet "Coeur de Vallée" Oakville Cabernet Sauvignon (97RP, 94JS, 94VN). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Luc Morlet’s 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon Coeur de Vallée is a 300-case blend of 75% Cabernet Sauvignon and 25% Cabernet Franc from the Beckstoffer To Kalon Vineyard. A mindblowing effort, it offers up notes of mocha, forest floor, blueberries, blackcurrants, asphalt and licorice. Full-bodied and opulent, this sensational 2012 is one of the vintage’s superstars. Bid on this bottle of 2012 DuMol Russian River Valley Syrah ((93-95VN), 94RP, 94WS). Vinous: "The 2012 Syrah presents a compelling range of black fruit, smoke, incense, tobacco, licorice and savory herbs. A rich, powerful wine, the 2012 hits the palate with stunning depth and richness. The style here is a bit riper and more immediate than the single-vineyard Syrahs. There is plenty of personality in the glass. What a gorgeous and promising wine this is. (AG)" (02/2014)

Bid on this 5-bottle lot of 2012 Quilceda Creek "Galitzine Vineyard" Red Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon (97RP, 94VN). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Another classic Cabernet Sauvignon from the Golitzin's, the 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon Galitzine Vineyard comes from the dry, windswept Red Mountain AVA and is 100% Cabernet Sauvignon. It's a big, structured effort that offers lots of minerality and dusty earth in its blackcurrants, black cherry liqueur, smoked earth, licorice and charred-meat-driven bouquet. Firm, focused and tight, this has closed down substantially since I tasted it from barrel, yet has serious concentration, lots of tannin and a great finish. It needs 4-5 years to integrate all its components, and should evolve gracefully through 2035. (JD)" (06/2015)
Starting Bid: $410.00

Bid on this 4-bottle lot of 2012 Hall "Eighteen Seventy-Three" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (95RP, 93WE). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The last 2012 I tasted was the 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon ‘1873', which is part of their Artisan Collection and named after Captain William Peterson, who established a pioneering winery on their St. Helena property in 1873. This is another beauty from Hall. Dense ruby/purple with layered blackcurrant fruit mixed with licorice, incense and forest floor, this deep, full-bodied, opulent wine has gorgeous purity and harmony among its component parts. Like so many of these wines, it has symmetry and density that are world-class. Drink over the next 20 years. Kathryn Hall’s winery is certainly one of the more dramatic as well as up-and-coming superstars of Napa Valley. It seems every effort is made to propel these wines into the very top echelon of quality. There is not a lot to criticize with the multitude of bottlings, all of which offer considerable char

Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Very deep purple-black in color, the 100% Shiraz, single vineyard 2012 Carnival of Love exudes fragrant notes of warm blackberries, creme de cassis and dried mulberries intermingled with a lovely dried herb undercurrent, lavender, dark chocolate and anise. With a nice structure of medium to firm rounded tannins and a lively acid backbone, this very big, full and rich wine has a very long finish. (LPB)" (02/2014)

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2012 Stag's Leap Wine Cellars "Cask 23" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (96RP, 95DC, 93WE, 93WS, 91VN). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon Cask 23 reveals more oak on the nose, but is a much deeper, richer, fuller wine than the S.L.V. Dense ruby/purple to the rim, beautiful blackberry and cassis fruit, cedar wood, toast and earth jump from the glass. Full-bodied and layered, but with nothing out of balance, this is probably the strongest Cask 23 since the glory years of the mid-80s. Look for this wine to drink well young, yet age effortlessly for 25 years. (RP)" (12/2015)
