2011 Araujo "Eisele Vineyard" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (OWC)
Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2011 Araujo "Eisele Vineyard" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (OWC - 98JS, 96VN, 93ST) in original wood. James Suckling: "Compelling aromas of black fruits such as brambleberries, plus blueberries and fresh mushrooms. Asphalt, too. Forest fruits. The tannins just melt into the wine as you taste it. Aristocratic and regal in style and length. A powdery, fascinating texture. From biodynamically grown grapes. Drink now, but better in 2017. *Top 100 Wines of 2014* " (05/2014) James Suckling: "Compelling aromas of black fruits such as brambleberries, plus blueberries and fresh mushrooms. Asphalt, too. 2011 Alban "Reva" Edna Valley Syrah
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2011 Alban "Reva" Edna Valley Syrah ((94-96RP), (92-94VN)). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "All of the 2011 Syrahs will be in bottle by the time you read this. The 2011 Syrah Reva Alban Estate Vineyard offers a cool-climate, pretty and perfumed style to go with lots of pepper, violets, iodine and dark fruits, with just a hint of vanilla and oak. Full-bodied, fresh and lively, with bright acidity and fine tannin, it's a Northern Rhone look-alike that will have 15-20 years of longevity."

2011 Ridge Vineyards "Monte Bello" Santa Cruz Mountains Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2011 Ridge Vineyards "Monte Bello" Santa Cruz Mountains Cabernet Sauvignon (96W&S, (93-95RP), 94JS, 94VN). Wine & Spirits: "The cool 2011 season turned out a pristine vintage of Monte Bello, made from Cabernet (88 percent) grown on a limestone-inflected ridge high above Silicon Valley, blended with some Merlot and Cabernet Franc. The team at Ridge let the fruit recover for two weeks following an early October storm before picking, and were more aggressive in their extraction than normal, drawing as much color and structure as possible from the delicate fruit. The aromas revolve around oak at first—anise, wood smoke, cedar bark and cinnamon—but the wood’s contribution is fine and integrated, shading gradually toward bright fruit as the finish lengthens with floral aromas and the tang of tiny, concentrated black currants. It’s even better with a day of air, as the tannins turn to velvet, allowing red-fruited acidity to take the lead and brighten the wine’s sav

2011 Ovid "Experiment No. G8.1" Napa Valley Red Blend
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2011 Ovid "Experiment No. G8.1" Napa Valley Red Blend. Vinous: "Ovid was another of the many highlights of my fall trips to Napa Valley. The estate has done a magnificent job with their new and upcoming releases. Winemaker Austin Peterson describes 2010 as the coldest vintage ever on the estate, even moreso than 2011. As for the wines, well, they are magnificent. It's as simple as that. Proprietors Mark Nelson and Dana Johnson and their team led by Managing Partner Janet Pagano are all about attention to detail and focus. The vineyard was developed by David Abreu and planted in small one acre parcels that are picked and vinified separately in small tanks built to match the size of the blocks. Winemaker Austin Peterson is one of the emerging stars in Napa Valley, and he has the support of consulting winemaker Andy Erickson. The results are in the bottle. (AG)" (11/2013)

2011 Peter Michael "Clos du Ciel" Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2011 Peter Michael "Clos du Ciel" Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir (94RP, 93ST, 92WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Another gorgeous, perfectly balanced wine, although not quite as rich as the 2010, is the 2011 Pinot Noir Clos de Ciel. Lots of forest floor, underbrush, cola and red and black currant characteristics are present in this more evolved yet surprisingly powerful and dense 2011. Production was 530 cases, which is significantly more than in either 2009 or 2010. (RP)" (12/2013)

2011 Schrader "Beckstoffer To Kalon" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this bottle of 2011 Schrader "Beckstoffer To Kalon" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (96RP, 90WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The impressive 2011 Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer To Kalon Vineyard is one of the richest of Schrader’s 2011s. Thomas Brown told me that this particular block was picked before the heavy rainfalls arrived and production was a minuscule three-quarters of a ton per acre. Hence, only 52 cases were made. It is a big, rich, atypical wine for a 2011. Year-in and year-out this is one of the most interesting as well as fascinating group of wines and projects in Napa Valley. First, Schrader has two committed owners, secondly a brilliant winemaker in Thomas Brown, and thirdly, one of the true first-growth vineyard sites in all of Napa Valley, the famed Beckstoffer-owned To Kalon Vineyard in Oakville. James Suckling: "A Cabernet with clay, iron, meat, red soil and fresh fruit, as well as hints of fresh herbs. Full to medium body with fine tannins and a sweet-berry and spice character. So attractive now but will improve for many years to come. 76% Cabernet Sauvignon and 24% Cabernet Franc. This is the first vintage." (05/2014)

2011 Bartolo Mascarello Barolo
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2011 Bartolo Mascarello Barolo (94RP, 94WE, 93DC, 93VN, 93WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2011 Barolo is a very expressive wine with more determination and muscle than you usually get in the wines of Bartolo Mascarello. The bouquet opens to plush flavors of red fruit and cherry with grilled herb, tobacco and mineral delineation. Its structure is yielding and round and the finish is ripe with soft fruit flavors. Make no mistake, it doles out complexity and an ethereal sense of balsam herb, cola and licorice that is the hallmark of this historic estate with a tiny garage winery in the town of Barolo. The alcohol reading here is 14.5% compared to 14% in the 2010 vintage. The Bartolo Mascarello winery continues faithfully in its long-standing promise of delivering classic expressions of Nebbiolo in its purest form. (ML)" (06/2015)

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2011 Pierre Gonon Saint-Joseph (94JS, 94RP, 93JG, 92VN, 92WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Similar to the sexy, open-knit and ready to go 2012, the 2011 St Joseph shows the sunny nature of the vintage with its awesome perfume of sweet black raspberries, incense, dried violets and wild herbs. Layered, ripe, medium to full-bodied and downright seamless, it's drinking brilliantly today but will keep for another decade. (JD)" (12/2016)

Full body with phenomenal detail featuring delicate but intense blackberry, espresso, toasted oak, caramel and dark chocolate. Cedar and sweet tobacco. Finesse all over. The wine of the vintage? Everything is there. Great energy. Best in 2018." (05/2014)

Bid on this 4-bottle lot of 2011 Carlisle "Saitone Ranch" Russian River Valley Zinfandel (93ST, 93VN, 90WS). Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "Glass-staining ruby. Deeply pitched aromas of dark berry preserves, cola, incense and candied lavender, with a smoky overtone. Sweet, penetrating blackberry and blueberry flavors show impressive clarity and pick up a spicy quality with air. Rich but lively, with excellent finishing clarity and gentle tannic grip. Rita Hills Syrah (98RP, 96VN). Of the 2011 Sine Qua Non "Dark Blossom" California Syrah,Robert Parker's Wine Advocate writes: "The 2011 Syrah Dark Blossom showed even better from bottle than barrel. A blend of 84% Syrah, 8% Grenache, 4% Petite Sirah and the rest Roussanne and Petite Manseng, this beauty was fermented with 17% whole clusters and aged in equal parts new and used French oak. One of the shining successes in the vintage, it’s a full-bodied, concentrated and layered Syrah that has awesome aromatics of blackcurrants, Peking duck, pepper, licorice and charcuterie in its seamless, thrillingly pure profile. As with Manfred’s other 2011s, the tannins are certainly present, yet they’re sweet, polished and have no hard edges. Give this b

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2011 M. Chapoutier "Le Méal" Ermitage Blanc (99RP, 97WS, 94VN). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Always more dense, backward and focused, the 2011 Ermitage L’Ermite Blanc has everything I could want out of a white. Flower oil, apricot, honeysuckle, brioche, powdered rock and assorted tropical notes are just some of the nuances here, and this incredible wine is full-bodied and massive, yet elegant, fresh and delineated. 2011 Quilceda Creek Columbia Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this bottle of 2011 Quilceda Creek Columbia Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (96RP, 95VN, 93WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "More serious, and one of the wines of the vintage, the 2011 Cabernet Sauvignon (100% Cabernet Sauvignon) has uncommon concentration and depth in the vintage, as well as a broad, structured profile that will allow it to age gracefully. Loaded with sweet creme de cassis, exotic spice, licorice and graphite, it’s a full-bodied, elegant and classically styled effort that has nothing out of place, fine, building tannin and a rock star finish. It will be approachable at an earlier stage than most vintages, yet still have two decades of longevity. (JD)" (06/2014)

2011 Saxum "Bone Rock - James Berry Vineyard" Paso Robles Syrah (1.5L)
Bid on this magnum of 2011 Saxum "Bone Rock - James Berry Vineyard" Paso Robles Syrah (1.5L) (97RP, 97VN, 95ST, 93WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2011 Syrah James Berry Vineyard Bone Rock opens in the glass with complex aromas of ripe black fruits, rich spice, cracked pepper, licorice and savory notions of grilled meats. On the palate, it's full-bodied, fine-grained and intensely concentrated, with a firm, tight-knit core and unusual energy. The finish is long, precise and penetrating. While the 2011 vintage tends to be tainted by association with the challenges producers faced on California's North Coast, conditions were not so adverse in Paso Robles: at Saxum, the year seems to have produced some of the most tight-knit wines of Justin Smith's career, and the wines have the potential to be unusually long-lived. Knockout nose combines raspberry, cherry, crushed stone and rose petal. Wonderfully sweet, silky and seamless, but with harmonious acidity energizing the mid-palate and keeping the wine's flavors under wraps today. Finishes with penetrating minerality, outstanding verve and a whiplash of red fruits. A beauty in the making, but lay it down. (ST)" (03/2014)

Vinous: "The 2011 Gevrey-Chambertin Le Combe Aux Moines has a bit of everything. Light on its feet and aromatically expressive, the Combe Aux Moines also has plenty of fruit and underlying structure. In 2011, the Combe Aux Moines stands out for its saline vibrancy. There is a weightless intensity in the glass that is simply a marvel to behold. (AG)" (03/2014)

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2011 Peter Michael "La Carrière" Knights Valley Chardonnay (93RP, 92ST, 92WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "From a cold, rain-plagued year, the 2011 Chardonnay La Carriere exhibits a light straw color with a greenish hue as well as notes of honeyed brioche, orange marmalade, buttery citrus and terrific fruit. More evolved and seductive than the 2010 at present, the 2011 is a beautiful wine that should drink well for 7-8 years. (RP) " (12/2013)

Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2011 is a great Chardonnay Marcassin Vineyard from a much-maligned and sometimes excessively criticized vintage. 2011 has its low points, but there are many producers who got it right, and survived the challenging growing and harvest conditions. This wine has phenomenal intensity, with plenty of crushed rock, pineapple, honeysuckle, orange and tangerine blossom in an elegant, medium to full-bodied style, with terrific intensity, good acidity and freshness. 2011 Sine Qua Non "The Moment" California White Blend
Bid on this bottle of 2011 Sine Qua Non "The Moment" California White Blend (95RP, 94VN, 93ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Starting off the tasting and a prodigious, unctuous white, the 2011 The Moment checks in as a blend of 57% Roussanne, 19% Petit Manseng, 17% Chardonnay and 7% Viognier that spent 16 months in a combination of concrete, new and used barrels, and stainless steel. Offering up notions of marzipan, citrus oil flowers, marmalade and spiced apricots, it flows onto the palate with full-bodied richness and depth that's balanced by beautiful underlying freshness and clarity. While I would lean towards drinking bottles over the coming 2-3 years, these can absolutely age, and have upwards of 10-15+ years of longevity. Drink now-2017+. (JD)" (08/2013)

Bid on this 4-bottle lot of 2011 Carlisle "Martinelli Road Vineyard" Russian River Valley Zinfandel ((92-94RP), 92ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "From a site planted in 1880, the 2011 Zinfandel Martinelli Road Vineyard jumps from the glass with a burst of sweet red cherries, flowers and mint. Ripe, silky tannins lend an element of total grace and exquisite overall harmony. In 2011 the Martinelli Road is impeccably polished. Floral notes give the finish an attractive lifted quality that is undeniably appealing. This is dazzling! Anticipated maturity: 2016-2026. Proprietor Mike Officer arrived with a bevy of wines for our tasting, all of which I was thrilled to sample. Readers who don’t think terroir exists in California should check out the Carlisle Zinfandels and Syrahs, many of which emerge from old-vine, heritage sites that nearly disappeared until Officer and some of his peers rescued them from the brink of oblivion. This was a challenging vintage, but the wines turned out outstanding, and very Burgundian. The alcohol is 13.9%, which is one of their lowest sugar levels.
