2008 Scarecrow Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (OWC)
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2008 Scarecrow Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (OWC - 99JS, 96WS, 94VN, 93RP) in original wood. James Suckling: "Like listening to cool mellow rock 'n' roll. Extraordinary aromas of violets and dark fruits such as blueberries and currants. I can't get over the aromas here. Then it goes to minerals with just a hint of bay leaf. Full-bodied, with velvety tannins with a beautiful softness and beautifulness. I love the balance and harmony to this with bright acidity. I would drink this before the 2007. Just under 1,000 cases of 12 but all sold in threes. Reminds me of Leoville Las Cases but with Napa brightness. Enjoy or hold for a long time." (06/2011)

2008 Anderson's Conn Valley "Estate Reserve" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2008 Anderson's Conn Valley "Estate Reserve" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (98RP, 94VN). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "One of the few wineries to make a 2008 Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve that eclipsed its 2007 counterpart is Anderson’s Conn Valley. A spectacular effort that is as black as a moonless night, this full-bodied wine boasts abundant aromas of creme de cassis, camphor and subtle oak presented in a voluptuously textured, full-bodied style with terrific richness and depth. Great intensity and opulence as well as a layered mouthfeel make for a remarkable wine that should age for 20-30+ years. (RP)" (12/2010)

2008 Ridge Vineyards "Monte Bello" Santa Cruz Mountains Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2008 Ridge Vineyards "Monte Bello" Santa Cruz Mountains Cabernet Sauvignon (95JS, 95RP, 95ST, 95W&S, 93VN, 92WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2008 Monte Bello is marked by the drought vintage, which not only made a more concentrated crop but also deprived the blend of all supporting varieties, as only Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot handled the dry conditions sufficiently gracefully to make the final cut. At age ten, this muscular Monte Bello is finally beginning to unwind, offering up rich aromas of black cherry, cassis, dried mountain laurel, loamy soil and burning embers. On the palate, it's full-bodied, expansive and powerful, its generous, sweetly fruited attack giving way to a taut, firm mid-palate that doesn't show as much finesse as the 2010 or 2012, concluding with a long, stony finish. Baugher observes that in its youth, the 2008 was "monolithic and more angular—a mouthful of tannin." A decade later, it's beginning to soften, but it still req

2008 Prince Florent de Merode Corton Grand Cru ''Les Bressandes''
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2008 Prince Florent de Merode Corton Grand Cru ''Les Bressandes''. Tucked below the hill of Corton, the small town of Ladoix-Serrigny (the first wine-producing village one arrives at in the Côte de Beaune when driving south from the Côte de Nuits) is dominated by the beautiful Château de Serrigny, family home of the Prince Florent de Merode. The family has owned this property since the early 1700s, and interestingly, it was not broken up during the revolutionary upheaval late in that century. The current Prince has lived at the Château de Serrigny since 1954, and has run this impressive, twelve hectare estate since that time. In 2008, Domaine de la Romanée-Conti announced it would be leasing nearly six acres to produce three Grand Cru wines from the property.

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2008 Harlan Estate Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (98JS, 96RP, 96WS, 95ST). James Suckling: "I am speechless. I love the pure aromas of currants, blackberries, minerals and mint -- eucalyptus too. Full body yet so refined and beautiful. Subtle complexity. Great length. Give it two or three years to come together, but hard to hold back." (06/2011)

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2008 Littorai "B.A. Thieriot Vineyard" Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir (93WS, 91ST). Wine Spectator: "Shows a strength of personality and style, with intense, vibrant blackberry, raspberry, mineral, licorice and tea flavors, firming and gaining depth and persistence. Ends with a dash of mineral and tar. Drink now through 2018. (JL, Web Only-2011)"

2008 Quilceda Creek "Galitzine Vineyard" Red Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2008 Quilceda Creek "Galitzine Vineyard" Red Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon (98RP, 95ST, 95WE). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2008 Galitzine Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon contains 1% Merlot. It offers a brooding aromatic array of toasty oak, Asian spices, incense, a hint of sage, violets, and assorted black fruits. More structured than the preceding wines, No doubting it’s Red Mountain say the Golitzins, it has plenty of ripe tannin more than balanced by loads of succulent fruit, exceptional density, richness and power. Give it 5-6 years and drink it from 2016 to 2033. (JM)" (08/2011)

2008 Clark-Claudon Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2008 Clark-Claudon Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (92RP). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2008 Cabernet Sauvignon is an attractive wine laced with sweet grilled herbs, dark cherries, plums, espresso and tobacco. It shows plenty of nuance and delineation. The mid-weight structure suggests it is best enjoyed over the next handful of years. The 2008 spent two years in French oak, 65% new. Anticipated maturity: 2013-2018. " (12/2011)

2008 Sea Smoke "Ten" Sta. Rita Hills Pinot Noir
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2008 Sea Smoke "Ten" Sta. Rita Hills Pinot Noir (91VN). Vinous: "Saturated ruby. Deep, pungent aromas of black raspberry, cherry pie, vanillin oak and smoky Indian spices. Sappy, palate-coating cherry and dark berry compote flavors show an exotic floral pastille quality and hints of clove and mocha. A distinctly rich, fleshy pinot that will aggravate Burgundy purists, but this wine makes quite a statement. (JR)" (11/2010)

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2008 Sea Smoke "Southing" Sta. Rita Hills Pinot Noir (92WE, 92WS, 90ST). Wine Enthusiast: "A big, extracted and somewhat ponderous Pinot Noir. Could be Grenache, such is the weight. But it’s very good and delicious and dry, with raspberry and cherry flavors, and lots of smoky oak." (02/2011)

2008 Cayuse "Impulsivo" Walla Walla Valley Tempranillo
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2008 Cayuse "Impulsivo" Walla Walla Valley Tempranillo (97RP, 94WE, 92ST, 90WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Reminding me of the 2010 with its elegant, seamless style, the 2008 Impulsivo offers lots of blood orange, cedar, cassis and white flower aromas and flavors. These all flow nicely into a full-bodied, ultra-fine, seamless and incredibly polished and pure 2008 that’s impeccably balanced, has fine tannin and a great finish. This was the first vintage where they scaled back the new oak, and where previous vintages saw roughly 70% new barrels, this 2008 was raised in just 40-50% new barrels. Drink it anytime over the coming 10-15 years. (JD)" (06/2015)

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2008 Dominus Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (99RP, 95JS, 94WS, 93ST, 93W&S, 92WE, 91VN). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Made in a more masculine style, the 2008 Dominus has all of that along with bigger body and more structure, fat, density and texture. Both are brilliant wines and they represent the finest back-to-back vintages for Dominus since 2001 and 2002 or 1990 and 1991. Both the 2007 and 2008 Dominus should drink well for 25-30 years. 2008 Montrose, St-Estèphe
Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2008 Montrose, St-Estèphe (95JS, 95RP, 94JG, 94VN, 94WE, 91WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "One of the superstars of the vintage, this classic Montrose is not as showy or opulent as the 2010, 2009 or 2003, but it offers a dense purple color followed by gorgeously sweet black raspberry and black currant fruit intermixed with loamy, earthy, forest floor notes, a floral component and a long, full-bodied finish. The 2008 was fashioned from yields of 44 hectoliters per hectare which is slightly less than the 2010's 45 hectoliters per hectare. Forget it for 5-8 years and drink it over the following 20+. 2008 Sine Qua Non "B 20" California Syrah
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2008 Sine Qua Non "B 20" California Syrah (97JD, 95RP, 94JS, 94ST, 93WS). Jeb Dunnuck: "Very classy and suave, with a personality that grows on you, the 2008 Sine Qua Non Syrah B 20 is 92% Syrah, 6% Grenache, and 2% Viognier that was aged in 60% French oak for 26 months. Sporting a deep, opaque purple color, it slowly unwinds in the glass to shows layered, decadent aromas of blackberry, cassis style fruits that are intermixed with notions of underbrush, smoked meat, and chocolate. The purity, as well as the depth and focus are the defining traits here, and on the palate, the wine is on the lighter side of full-bodied and possesses a phenomenal texture that coats every part of the mouth, yet never seems heavy or cumbersome. Seamless, very pure, and perfectly balanced, this beauty is bliss now, but given the balance and overall harmony, should continue to shine for upwards of 12-15 years. Brilliant stuff and it excels more for its seamlessness and elegance mor

2008 Clos de Sarpe, St-Emilion
Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2008 Clos de Sarpe, St-Emilion (95RP). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "A brilliant effort for this vintage, yields were a mere 10 hectoliters per hectare in 2008 and the result is only 8,000 bottles produced. Opulent, fleshy and full-bodied, this wine has reigned in the excruciatingly high level of tannins, but the 15% alcohol gives it loads of glycerin as well as a chewy mouthfeel. Inky/purple-colored and super-concentrated with relatively civilized tannins, this stunning 2008 should be accessible in 3-5 years (atypical for Clos de Sarpe) and drink well for 30+.
