Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2008 Rudd "Oakville Estate" Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (99RP, 94WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The finest Rudd Estate Proprietary Red Rudd has yet made is the 2008. A blend of 49% Cabernet Sauvignon, 23% Cabernet Franc, 14% Petit Verdot and 14% Malbec, it offers up aromas of blue and black fruits, charcoal, white chocolate and flowers. The soaring aromatics are followed by a wine with fabulous concentration, a seamless integration of acidity, tannin, alcohol and wood, a brilliant texture, a fabulous personality and loads of complexity as well as full-bodied richness. This potentially legendary proprietary red already possesses remarkably sweet tannin. ... Bravo! (RP)" (12/2010)

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2008 Shafer "Hillside Select" Stags Leap District Cabernet Sauvignon ((96-97JS), 96VN, 96WS, 94W&S, 94WE, 93RP, 93ST). James Suckling: "I can't wait to taste this in bottle. Bright fruit, with currants and plums on the nose. A powerful and structured palate, with plenty of tannins and a long flavorful finish. This is precise, a combination of the 2006 and 2007. Barrel sample." (02/2011)

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2008 Domaine Bouchard Père et Fils Chambertin-Clos de Bèze Grand Cru (95BH, 94ST, 93RP). Allen Meadows - Burghound: "A wonderfully, even exuberantly spicy and layered nose speaks of earth, underbrush and a certain animale character on the primarily red berry fruit that moves seamlessly into cool and intensely mineral broad-scaled flavors that are powerful, vibrant and display a saline element on the stylish and classy finish that is presently quite linear and will require plenty of time to flesh out because the suggested initial drinking window is not a typo. *Don't Miss!* " (04/2010)
Starting Bid: $330.00

Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2008 Copain "James Berry Vineyard" Paso Robles Syrah ((91-93RP), 92ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The dark purple hued 2008 Syrah James Berry Vineyard is tightly-knit and restrained, but with coaxing, it offers up scents of creme de cassis, blueberries, melted asphalt, and charcoal. Its impressive texture, stunning richness, and good underlying minerality suggest this brilliant Syrah will evolve for a decade or more." (02/2010)
Starting Bid: $210.00

Bid on this bottle of 2008 Sine Qua Non "The Duel" Sta. Rita Hills Syrah (99RP, 96VN, 95ST, 94WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "A prodigious effort that possesses overflowing richness and depth, the 2008 Syrah The Duel (88% Syrah, 6% Grenache and 6% Viognier, all from the Eleven Confessions Vineyard) delivers an off-the-hook drinking experience with decadent cassis, blackberry, smoked meats, crushed flowers and hints of spice all soaring from the glass. A full-bodied, unctuous Syrah that stays fresh and elegant, with vibrant acidity, it needs a solid decant if drinking anytime soon and will see its 20th birthday in fine form. Drink now-2028. Starting Bid: $275.00

Bid on this bottle of 2008 Araujo "Eisele Vineyard" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (97RP, 97WS, 95JS, 94ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2008 Cabernet Sauvignon Eisele Vineyard is breathtaking. Everything is in the right place in this dazzling, superb Cabernet Sauvignon. Layers of dark fruit, plums, camphor, licorice and espresso emerge from this effortless, gracious wine. The integration of fruit, tannin and French oak (100% new) is simply phenomenal. There is a dark, brooding quality to the 2008 that is immensely appealing. This is a stunning wine from Araujo. The 2008 is 89% Cabernet Sauvignon, 7% Cabernet Franc and 4% Petit Verdot. (AG) 97+" (12/2011)

Bid on this 5-bottle lot of 2008 Lynch-Bages, Pauillac (94JD, 94WE, 93DC, 93JS, 92RP, 92VN, 91WS, 90ST). Wine Enthusiast: "In the powerful style of Lynch-Bages, although perhaps less exuberant than usual. Instead the concentration comes from juicy fruit, which gives it a softer quality. Even so, it still has solid tannins, dense texture and always the promise of good aging. *Cellar Selection* (RV)" (04/2011)

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2008 Léoville-Las-Cases, St-Julien (96JG, 96VN, 95JS, 95WE, 94WS, 93RP, 93ST). Vinous: "The 2008 Léoville Las Cases has a backward, broody, earthy bouquet with intense tobacco and graphite aromas, more like a Pauillac than a Saint Julien, no surprise given that it lies on the border. The palate is very impressive: layers of tobacco-tinged black fruit, sea salt and graphite. This is very precise and harmonious with a persistent and multi-layered finish that leaves you mightily impressed. (NM)" (02/2018)

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2008 Tusk Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon. Decant and serve at 60-65 degrees, Tusk recommends of this 150-case release. It's sourced primarily from Oakville and Prichard Hill and several other sub-appellations throughout Napa Valley, and is a project from wine consultant Phillipe Melka and partners. Winery note: "Tusk 2008 offers dark chocolate, violet, blackcurrant, sweet black truffles and espresso bean aromas. In tasting this unforgettable wine, the following words come to mind: Intense, powerful, opulent, sophisticated, superb velvety texture and ripe dark fruits."
Starting Bid: $1,250.00

Bid on this 5-bottle lot of 2008 Cos d'Estournel, St-Estèphe (95JD, 95RP, 95WE, 94JS, 94VN, 92ST, 91WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The medium to deep garnet colored 2008 Cos d'Estournel is blended of 85% Cabernet Sauvignon, 13% Merlot and 2% Cabernet Franc. Pow! The nose explodes with notes of baked cherries, preserved plums, fried herbs, beef drippings and warm cassis with wafts of wood smoke, salami and tobacco leaf. Medium-bodied, the palate is elegant and earthy/savory in character, sporting beautifully ripe, grainy tannins and bags of freshness, finishing on a lingering mineral note. (LPB)" (11/2018)

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2008 Louis Roederer "Cristal" Brut Champagne (100JD, 100JS, 99DC, 99JG, 99VN, 98RP, 98WE, 97WS). James Suckling: "Disgorged October 2016 and will be the first Cristal to be released ten years from harvest when it is offered in 2018. 35 parcels used from a possible 45 in this vintage. The assemblage is 60% Pinot Noir and 40% Chardonnay. This is so fresh and tense and mineral with extremely exuberant Chardonnay notes on the nose of white peach, lemon and yellow grapefruit, and hints of almost brambly sous bois aromas. The yeast characters are also super fresh, and there are subtle woody notes, with a hint of vanilla bean and light spices. The palate is super long, and very pure, powerful and focused. It drives deep and taut. Pinot Noir is a strong core and the Chardonnay sits at the edge offering lemon and white nectarine sorbet flavors. Staggeringly concentrated, yet the balance makes it seem airy and light. Acidity is perfectly positioned, and the power is i

Bid on this bottle of 2008 Screaming Eagle Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (97JS, 96VN, 95RP, 94WS). James Suckling: "This has a wonderful balance to it. It shows intense aromas of flowers and dark fruits with hints of incense and sandalwood. Changes all the time. Then goes to currants and flowers. Full and firm with a wonderful core of silky tannins that are polished and beautiful. Dark chocolate, vanilla bean, and dark fruit. Solid and firm. You could easy drink this but it has structure for aging as well. 88% Cabernet Sauvignon, 7% Caberent Franc and 5% Merlot. " (06/2011)
Starting Bid: $2,250.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2008 Silver Oak Alexander Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (94W&S, 91DC, 91WE). Wine & Spirits: "Like a savory claret pumped up on performance-enhancing California climate, this is nuanced and relatively austere for all its bold, plummy fruit. The supple richness of tannins lends it textural finesse, the quality of Silver Oak that may be most responsible for its legend. The alcohol is finely integrated so as to be imperceptible. Still youthfully floral, this will age with grace." (12/2012)
Starting Bid: $140.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2008 Rudd "Samantha's" Oakville Cabernet Sauvignon (92RP). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2008 Samantha’s (formerly called Crossroads) is a blend of primarily Cabernet Sauvignon with 14% Cabernet Franc and small quantities of Merlot and Petit Verdot. Normally 600-800 cases are produced from their estate. Its dense purple color is followed by abundant aromas of creme de cassis, sweet licorice, charcoal and earth. This supple, dense 2008 should drink nicely for 10-15 years. (RP)" (12/2010)
Starting Bid: $195.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2008 Pol Roger Vintage Brut Champagne (94JG, 94JS, 92BH, 90DC, 90VN, 90W&S). James Suckling: "Attractive red berries, nectarines and biscuity notes with a hint of spice, too, and a sweet-smelling freshness to it. The palate delivers a very attractive and concentrated array of yellow stone fruit flavors. Smooth and creamy, sorbet-like finish. Drink now or age." (10/2017)

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2008 Domaine Henri Boillot Clos Vougeot Grand Cru (93ST, 92BH, 92RP). Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "Saturated, bright red-ruby. Expressive, ripe aromas of black cherry, pepper, and a whiff of leather. Full, sweet and harmonious, with great lift and definition to its sappy black cherry and licorice flavors. Really compellingly sweet and palate-coating for a 2008. The fine-grained tannins contribute to the impression of precision on the explosive, vibrant back end. Boillot told me he did a selection in 2008 but that it was to eliminate pink grapes, as there was almost no rot. (ST)" (03/2011)
Starting Bid: $240.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2008 Château Montelena "Estate" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon ((91-94ST), 92RP, 92VN, 92WS). Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "Good deep ruby. Lovely lift and purity to the aromas of cassis, violet and bitter chocolate. Juicy, vibrant and intense; less dense than the 2007 but more perfumed in the mid-palate. Very fine-grained wine, finishing long and aromatic, with firm tannic bite and a late note of bitter chocolate. 'Two thousand eight was an impossible year to make 15% wines with a 4.0 pH in Napa Valley,' said Bo Barrett, adding that 'it's more fun to be working in the classical world. In 2008, there's less jam to block the terroir and minerality of the vineyard. Due to all the sunlight, we made Cabernet jam in 2007, but the vineyard influence shows more clearly in 2008 and 2006.' The estate purchased some small tanks for this vintage and thus the team was able to pick with more precision. Barrett also told me he backed off on the pumpovers, r

Bid on this bottle of 2008 Domaine Mongeard-Mugneret Echézeaux Grand Cru Vieilles Vignes (93BH, 91WS). Allen Meadows - Burghound: "The wood this displayed from cask has been almost completelly integrated, which allows the distinctly floral and purple fruit nose that is laced with spice and earth notes to shine. There is excellent concentration to the exceptionally rich, powerful and robust large-scaled flavors that are overtly muscular in style yet the tannins are relatively refined, all wrapped in a balanced, long and palate staining finish. This is impressive and interestingly there is so much palate coating dry extract that it can actually be drunk now with pleasure though to be sure there is still plenty of unrealized upside development potential." (12/2013)
Starting Bid: $130.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2008 Pontet-Canet, Pauillac (96JD, 96RP, 95DC, 95WE, 94JS, 94ST, 92VN, 92WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "A candidate for the wine of the vintage, Pontet Canet’s 2008 boasts an opaque purple color as well as copious aromas of sweet blueberries, blackberries and black currant fruit intertwined with lead pencil shavings, subtle barbecue smoke and a hint of forest floor. Full-bodied, with fabulous richness, texture and tremendous freshness, this first-growth-like effort is more developed than the uber-powerful 2010. Give it 5-8 years of cellaring and drink it over the following three decades. Bravo! Drink through 2046. (RP)" (05/2011)
