2006 Abreu Howell Mountain Bordeaux Blend
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2006 Abreu Howell Mountain Bordeaux Blend (95RP). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2006 Howell Mountain has already gone into hiding, but there is no doubting its enormous weight, richness, note of graphite, and minerality. The wine possesses enormous concentration and richness as well as lots of blue and black fruits, but I wouldn’t touch it for 7-10 years. It should keep for 30 years. (RP) 95+" (12/2009)

Wine Spectator: "Graceful, elegant and stylish, offering a pleasant touch of maturity, with a complex array of anise, cherry, raspberry, red licorice and fresh porcini flavors leading to a medium body. Shows the benefits of cellaring. *Top 100 of 2012, Collectibles* (JL)" (04/2012)

James Suckling: "Bay leaf, dark fruits, and almonds on the nose. This wine is powerful, with a full body, and with flavors of mineral, mint, and lead pencil. I'm thinking Pauillac but tasting California. A very long finish, but needs some time." (04/2011)

2006 Poggiarellino Brunello di Montalcino Riserva
Bid on this 4-bottle lot of 2006 Poggiarellino Brunello di Montalcino Riserva. This Riserva has the powerful, classic flavor profile of Poggiarellino; the wild marasca cherry coupled with earth, tobacco and spice are readily apparent, but what sets this wine apart are its density and structure. The layers of spice and fruit are joined with a big, dense, powerful structure where evident tannin and the wine's interior core of acidity come together and give length and direction to the wine. Right now this wine seems huge, but it is just a bit of baby fat and rambunctious young tannin--a little boyhood vigor--in another year it will seem much more balanced. It will be drinkable in a couple of years, but this is a wine that will definitely age 15-20 years plus without an issue. This is the most impressive of all the Poggiarellino Brunello we have carried before. You won't be disappointed! (Greg St. Clair, K&L Italian Wine Buyer)

2006 Poggiarellino Brunello di Montalcino Riserva (qty: 4)

2006 Ridge Vineyards "Monte Bello" Santa Cruz Mountains Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2006 Ridge Vineyards "Monte Bello" Santa Cruz Mountains Cabernet Sauvignon (95VN, 94RP, 93JS, 92W&S). Vinous: "A dark, brooding beauty, the 2006 Monte Bello is still very, very young. The aromatics alone are enticing, but the tannins still need time to soften. The 2006 is a masculine, vertical Monte Bello that demands cellaring. Even so, it is pretty impressive today. Scents of lavender, sage, mint and savory herbs add closing flourishes. The perfumed sweetness of the fruit (one of the hallmarks of the very late harvest) remains one of the signatures of the 2006. The 2006 can be enjoyed today or cellared for another 25+ years. (AG) 95+" (07/2016)

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2006 Château de Beaucastel Châteauneuf-du-Pape (95RP, 95WS, 94JD, 93ST, 91W&S). Wine Spectator: "Powerful, with a round, almost creamy core of blackberry and raspberry fruit all layered with cocoa, sweet toast, mesquite and fig paste. Long and rich through the finish. Still quite primal, with lots in reserve. Best from 2010 through 2030. *Collectibles* (JM)" (04/2009)

2006 Alban "Seymour's Vineyard" Edna Valley Syrah
Bid on this bottle of 2006 Alban "Seymour's Vineyard" Edna Valley Syrah (98RP, 96VN, 96WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The succession of prodigious Syrahs continues with the 2006 Syrah Seymour’s Vineyard (named after John Alban’s father). An infant in terms of development, it exhibits a smoky meatiness along with a forest floor character as well as its siblings’ colossal level of concentration, enormous, multilayered texture, and skyscraper-like mouthfeel. Remarkably, there is no sense of heaviness. Another tour de force in Central Coast Syrah, it should drink well for 30-40 years. (RP) 98+" (08/2009)

2006 Alban "Lorraine" Edna Valley Syrah
Bid on this bottle of 2006 Alban "Lorraine" Edna Valley Syrah (100JD, 100RP, 97WS, 95ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Named after his raven-haired Irish wife, the 2006 Syrah Lorraine, which comes from more sandy soils, is another prodigious effort. Like all of these wines, it is a remarkable wine of extraordinary intensity, with a stunning nose of blueberries, bacon fat, camphor, and even darker blackberries, along with unreal minerality and definition for a wine of this size and power. Full-bodied, with profound intensity of flavor as well as purity, this is another wine that spent nearly three and a half years in barrel prior to being bottled unfined and unfiltered. (RP)" (08/2010)

2006 Dunn Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this 4-bottle lot of 2006 Dunn Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (94RP, 91ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2006 Cabernet Sauvignon Napa Valley is quite a bit richer than the 2005 tasted alongside it. The 2006 shows gorgeous depth as it opens up in the glass. Dark fruit, licorice, smoke and tar are some of the notes that flesh out in this broad-shouldered Cabernet Sauvignon. A creamy, textured finish rounds things out in style. Anticipated maturity: 2012-2026. (AG)" (12/2011)

Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2006 Siro Pacenti Brunello di Montalcino (97JS, 96RP, 96VN, 95WS, 94WE, 91ST). James Suckling: "Aromas of blackberries and blueberries follow through to a full body and velvety tannins. This is so layered and deep. Fabulous texture. Better in 2014. We will see in the end whether 2006 or 2007 is better." (12/2012)
