2006 Altamura Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this 4-bottle lot of 2006 Altamura Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (94RP, 94WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2006 Cabernet Sauvignon (100% Cabernet Sauvignon) possesses aromas of creme de cassis, white chocolate, espresso roast, dusty, loamy soil, and a full-bodied structure. With rich, powerful flavors that cascade over the palate as well as beautiful purity and depth, it will be even better with another 2-4 years of cellaring, and is capable of lasting 20-25 years." 2006 Angélus, St-Emilion
Bid on this bottle of 2006 Angélus, St-Emilion (97DC, 95WE, 94RP, 93ST, 93WS, 92W&S). Decanter: "Double decanted but still extremely tannic, this hsa layers of muscle even at 13 years old. It's very different in style from the others in the lineup: here, I get more menthol notes alongside the dense layers of fruit, rich tobacco, earth and olive tapenade. It's beautiful in depth and persistency, with the first hints of secondary characters in its truffle hit on the finish. (JA)" (11/2018)

2006 Continuum Oakville Bordeaux Blend
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2006 Continuum Oakville Bordeaux Blend (96RP, 95WS, 94JS, 93VN, 93WE). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Mainly sourced from To Kalon vineyard and blended of 59% Cabernet Sauvignon, 25% Cabernet Franc and 16% Petit Verdot, the 2006 Proprietary Red has a deep garnet-brick color and slips sensuously out of the glass with perfumed incense and potpourri scents over notions of menthol, figs and dried mulberries with touches of fruitcake and cigar box. The palate is big, concentrated, full-bodied, firm and chewy, finishing long and spicy. Drink through 2025. (LPB)" (02/2019)

2006 Domaine du Comte Liger Belair Grand Cru " La Romanee"
Bid on this bottle of 2006 Domaine du Comte Liger Belair Grand Cru " La Romanee" (95BH, 95RP, 95ST, 95VN, 94JG). Vinous: "The 2006 La Romanée Grand Cru is actually tasted on two separate occasions, once served blind in bottle in London and then from magnum in Beaune - both were consistent. It has a beguiling, quite sumptuous and sensual bouquet with red berries laced with orange peel and crushed violets. You could really lose yourself in these labyrinthine aromatics. The palate is rounded and exerts a gentle grip, a voluminous and multi-layered La Romanée with an edgy, discrete bitter note that keeps everything on an even keel. It is a beautiful La Romanée that is difficult to resist in its youth. Tasted at La Paulée in Beaune. (NM)" (05/2019)

2006 Bond "Matriarch" Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2006 Bond "Matriarch" Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (94WE, 92JS, 92WS, 90RP, 90ST). Wine Enthusiast: "Matriarch often measures up to the level of BOND and Harlan Estate itself. It is a blend of various BOND components. The ’06 is a classically structured Napa blend, fat and flashy in youth, offering complex waves of blackberry and cherry tart, black currant, cola, licorice and sweet, spicy oak. There’s a savory meatiness reminiscent of salty bacon. But the tannins are significant." (04/2010)

2006 Vietti "Castiglione" Barolo
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2006 Vietti "Castiglione" Barolo (92RP, 92WS, 91ST, 91W&S, 90JS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2006 Barolo Castiglione is frighteningly outstanding, considering it is Vietti’s entry-level Barolo! There is incredible density and power in the glass as waves of fruit caress the palate with tons of richness. Sweet menthol, flowers and spices add complexity to the long, stupendous finish. In 2006 the Barolo Castiglione is a blend of fruit from Bricco Fiasco (except for the lower part of that plot), Ravera, Fossati and Bricco Ravera. All of the estate’s Barolo-designated vineyards that weren’t bottled separately were used for that vintage’s Perbacco, a selection process I wrote about extensively in my recent profile on Vietti on www.erobertparker.com. The Barolo Castiglione is usually approachable pretty much upon release, but in 2006 the wine has so much fatness it will probably benefit from a few years in bottle. Barolo is never inexpensive, but the Casti

2006 Mollydooker "Carnival of Love" Shiraz McLaren Vale South Australia
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2006 Mollydooker "Carnival of Love" Shiraz McLaren Vale South Australia (97RP, 95WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2006 Shiraz 'Carnival of Love' was sourced from a single vineyard. The sensational nose, consisting of violets, lilacs, meat, game, leather, blueberry, and chocolate, leaps from the glass. On the palate this full-bodied wine somehow manages to combine power with elegance. The sweet tannins are well-concealed and the finish lasts for at least one minute. It will provide pleasure for 25 years but who will be that patient? (JM)" (10/2007)

2006 Domaine Sylvain Cathiard Vosne-Romanée 1er Cru "Aux Malconsorts"
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2006 Domaine Sylvain Cathiard Vosne-Romanée 1er Cru "Aux Malconsorts" (93BH, 93RP, 93ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2006 Vosne-Romanée 1er Cru Aux Malconsorts from Sylvain Cathiard really blossomed in the glass, unfurling to reveal notes of plums, dark chocolate, rich soil, burning embers and some savory and hard-to-define bass notes, its new oak nicely digested at age 12. On the palate, the wine starts out a little foursquare but opens up to become quite expansive, more taut and controlled than the 2005 En Orveaux tasted the following day, with fine-grained but not yet melted tannins, a deep core of fruit and a long finish. An excellent Malconsorts with a full decade ahead of it. Drink through 2028. (WK)" (12/2018)

Bid on this bottle of 2006 Sine Qua Non "The Raven No. 3" California Syrah (96JD, 96RP, 95WS, 94VN). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2006 Raven Series Syrah, a blend of 93% Syrah, 5% Grenache, and 2% Viognier that spends just under two years in French oak. Offering a dense purple color, gorgeous fruit, and a sweet perfume of graphite, blackberries, blueberries, charcoal, licorice, tar, and new oak, it is a dense, full-bodied, well-endowed, beautifully layered, pure Syrah that should drink well for 10-15 years. 2006 Sea Smoke "Southing" Sta. Rita Hills Pinot Noir
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2006 Sea Smoke "Southing" Sta. Rita Hills Pinot Noir (94WE, 92ST, 90WS). Wine Enthusiast: "Yes, even for a California Pinot, this is a big, strong, full-bodied wine. Southing always is. It could almost morph into a Cabernet Sauvignon. But who cares? It’s compellingly delicious, and isn’t that what wine is all about? Flavorwise, it tastes of cherries, oranges, red currants, violets, raspberries, cedar and peppery spices, with 65% new oak." (12/2008)

2006 Ridge Vineyards "Monte Bello" Santa Cruz Mountains Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this 4-bottle lot of 2006 Ridge Vineyards "Monte Bello" Santa Cruz Mountains Cabernet Sauvignon (95VN, 94JD, 94RP, 93JS, 93ST, 92W&S). Vinous: "A dark, brooding beauty, the 2006 Monte Bello is still very, very young. The aromatics alone are enticing, but the tannins still need time to soften. The 2006 is a masculine, vertical Monte Bello that demands cellaring. Even so, it is pretty impressive today. Scents of lavender, sage, mint and savory herbs add closing flourishes. The perfumed sweetness of the fruit (one of the hallmarks of the very late harvest) remains one of the signatures of the 2006. The 2006 can be enjoyed today or cellared for another 25+ years. Full, powerful, polished, with wonderfully dense tannins. The finish is long, long, long. This is amazing, I love the freshness and length. Very classy and elegant, wonderful stuff. I am wowed. Great length, it's muscular with wonderful definition. This will be even more of a dream in 2015. " (04/2011)

2006 Marcassin "Marcassin Vineyard" Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2006 Marcassin "Marcassin Vineyard" Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir (96RP, 96WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Sweet aromas of ripe cherries, black currants, plums, smoky barbecue, licorice and forest floor jump from the glass of this broad, savory, full-bodied, young, vibrant Pinot Noir. At age eight, it is just beginning to develop secondary nuances. It should continue to evolve for another decade, offering sumptuous drinking for at least 10-15 more years. This is another great success in a fabulous line-up. (RP)" (06/2014)

2006 Domaine Fourrier Gevrey-Chambertin 1er Cru Vieilles Vignes "Clos St. Jacques"
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2006 Domaine Fourrier Gevrey-Chambertin 1er Cru Vieilles Vignes "Clos St. Jacques" (95RP, 94JG, 94ST, 93VN, 92BH). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Predictably, Fourrier's 2006 Gevrey-Chambertin Clos St.-Jacques is in another class from his other premier crus of the vintage, or indeed from most wines of its vintage regardless of classification. (For some salient details about Fourrier's share of this great site, consult issue 170.) A perfume-like, profuse and variegated bouquet of red raspberry, maraschino, cinnamon, marigold, and rose leads to a silken-textured though subtly-tannic palate with smoked meat and saline undertones. This finishes with both a kaleidoscopic dynamic of floral, fruit, animal and mineral elements and a sheer length that spell "grand cru" in all but the INAO's official language. The saline savor, persistence of fresh fruit, and tactile cinnamon and ginger impingements just keep drawing down my reserves of saliva. Here is concentration

2006 Sine Qua Non "Autrement Dit" California Rosé
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2006 Sine Qua Non "Autrement Dit" California Rosé. Of Sine Qua Non, Robert Parker writes: "...I am beginning to understand why they are so much greater than just about every other Syrah or Grenache-based wine in California. In short, it is talent and incredibly meticulous hard work. No one works as hard or is as maniacal about a vineyard’s viticulture and winemaking as Manfred Krankl. Take that, add in exceptional talent, humility, top-notch vineyards, and I believe I understand the fundamentals of why these wines are so special." (8/2007)
