Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2003 Lafite Rothschild, Pauillac (100RP, 98JS, 97WE, 96VN, 96WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2003 Lafite Rothschild comes as close to perfection as any of the great Lafites made over the past three decades (1982, 1986, 1996, 2000, 2005, 2008, 2009 and 2010). This sensational effort came in at 12.7% natural alcohol, it is made in the style of one of this estate’s great classics, the 1959. Composed of 86% Cabernet Sauvignon, 9% Merlot and the rest Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot, it exhibits a dense ruby/purple color to the rim along with a luxurious bouquet of cedarwood, lead pencil shaving, white chocolate, cocoa and cassis. Fat, rich, opulent and full-bodied with low acidity and stunning seductiveness and complexity, this noble wine possesses a bountiful, generous, heady style. It is just coming into its plateau of maturity where it should hold for 20-25 years. This is one of the candidates for the wine of the vintage – make no mistake about that.
Starting Bid: $2,040.00

Bid on this 4-bottle lot of 2003 Graham's Vintage Port (96W&S, 96WE, 95RP, 95ST, 94WS). Wine Enthusiast: "This is a great Port, from a great brand. It is packed with solid, structured, rich and intense black fruit flavors. Its tannins show considerable aging potential. It is a big, ripe wine, balanced by a long, lingering dark aftertaste. *Best of 2005* (RV)" (11/2005)
Starting Bid: $298.00

Bid on this half-bottle of 2003 Alvear Pedro Ximénez de Añada Montilla-Moriles (375ml) (94RP, 91WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "A super value, the fruit for the 2003 Pedro Ximenez de Anada was dried in the sun before being fermented. A medium amber color is found in this sweet, unctuous effort offering abundant amounts of nut-like, caramel, and toffee flavors as well as full body and a tremendous finish. It is a sensational after-dinner sherry. (RP)" (06/2005)
Starting Bid: $40.00

Bid on this bottle of 2003 Léoville-Poyferré, St-Julien (96RP, 95JS, 95WS, 93WE, 92VN). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The spectacular 2003 Leoville Poyferre exhibits a dense purple color with a touch of lightening at the edge as well as notes of creosote, barbecue smoke, jammy black currants, licorice and spice box. This intense, voluptuously textured, full-bodied St.-Julien possesses low acidity and ripe tannin. Still fresh and exuberant, it is just entering its plateau of full maturity ... (RP)" (08/2014)
Starting Bid: $130.00

Bid on this bottle of 2003 Mouton Rothschild, Pauillac (95VN, 94WE, 94WS, 93ST, 92JS, 91RP). Vinous: "A heady, exotic wine, the 2003 Mouton Rothschild takes hold of all the senses. The ripeness and exuberance of the year comes through in spades as this dramatic, opulent wine shows off its radiant personality. The 2003 can be enjoyed now, but it could also use another few years for the tannins to soften. Still, the 2003 is pretty hard to resist today. This is an exceptional, deeply satisfying Mouton endowed with notable richness but also exceptional balance. Hints of toffee, torrefaction and dark spices are laced into the finish. In 2003 the blend is 76% Cabernet Sauvignon, 14% Merlot, 8% Cabernet Franc and 2% Petit Verdot, all brought in between a fairly narrow window of ten days between September 15 and 25. (AG)" (05/2016)

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2003 Mayacamas Mt. Veeder Cabernet Sauvignon (92VN). Vinous: "Another wine with plenty of near and medium-term appeal, the 2003 Cabernet Sauvignon is built on texture and ripeness. Dark red cherry, plum, smoke, tobacco and spices flesh out in a supple, super-ripe Cabernet Sauvignon with no hard edges. Here, too, the flavors remain surprisingly primary. The visceral thrill of the best years is missing, but there is plenty of appeal today. Dried rose petal, cinnamon and sweet red berries linger on the close. (AG)" (05/2014)
Starting Bid: $315.00

Bid on this bottle of 2003 Copain "James Berry Vineyard" Paso Robles Syrah (96RP, 91ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "An astonishing effort, the 2003 Syrah James Berry Vineyard (the home vineyard of Saxum planted on fractured limestone soils) possesses a dense purple color as well as an extraordinary nose of incense, Asian spices, black tea, blackberries, and cassis. The soaring aromas are followed by staggeringly majestic, full-bodied, multilayered, and enormously well-endowed flavors. (RP)" (12/2005)
Starting Bid: $40.00

Bid on this bottle of 2003 Pavie, St-Emilion (97WS, 96RP, (90-92VN)). Wine Spectator: "This is a stunner, with the warmth of the vintage marrying ideally with the relative coolness of the terroir to deliver a wide range of vivid plum, boysenberry, raspberry and cherry paste flavors that have energy and drive, carried by a long graphite note and backed by a roasted apple wood accent that has been fully absorbed. Powerfully ripe, but not heady, with a sense of poise through the finish. A jaw-dropper. (JM, Web Only-2017)"
Starting Bid: $210.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2003 Domaine Beaurenard "Cuvée Boisrenard" Châteauneuf-du-Pape (97WS, 94RP, 94ST, 93WE, 90W&S). Wine Spectator: "Loaded with rich, dark layers of black currant, blackberry, truffle, tar, mocha and bittersweet cocoa, this pumps out both fruit and terroir on the gripping finish. Immense in scale and depth, this is hard to lay off now, but should be even more impressive when it drops its muscle to show more elegance (that will take a while, though). Best from 2008 through 2030. *Collectibles. Rank 16, Top 100 Wines of 2006* (JM)" (04/2006)
Starting Bid: $110.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2003 Pichon-Baron, Pauillac (96JS, 95WS, 94RP, 93JD, 93ST, 92VN). James Suckling: "Sweet tobacco and plum with hints of leather and cassis on the nose. Full bodied, with big velvety tannins and lots of fruit. Very rich and powerful, even chewy. Give this some time to mellow out. Pull the cork after 2016. " (03/2011)

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2003 Husic "Dos Palmas Vineyard " Cabernet Sauvignon . Husic's 2003 Cabernet Sauvignon is very, very dark in color, and shows deep chocolate-cherry aromas that evolve into raspberry cordial and warm clove/spice tones. Soft and rich at entry, the fruit-infused flavors combine with hints of grilled anise and cocoa. The wine shows remarkable density and structure, yet very supple tannins, a testimony to this perfect growing season, which yielded small quantities of intensely flavored grapes.
Starting Bid: $105.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2003 Cos d'Estournel, St-Estèphe (98JS, 96VN, 95WE, 94ST, 93RP, 93WS, 92DC). James Suckling: "A dense and powerful wine as always with very ripe fruit yet an underlying freshness and complexity with tobacco, dried fruit and fresh spices such as lemon grass and Thai basil. Layered and long. " (10/2015)

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2003 Pichon-Lalande, Pauillac (95JS, 95RP, 94JD, 94WE, 93ST, 93WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Made from a blend of 65% Cabernet Sauvignon, 31% Merlot and 4% Petit Verdot, this spectacular 2003 hits all the sweet spots on the palate. A glorious bouquet of cedarwood, jammy black currants, cherries, licorice and truffle is followed by a dense, opulently textured, full-bodied wine with terrific purity and freshness as well as deep, velvety textured tannins. (RP)" (08/2014)

Bid on this 4-bottle lot of 2003 Martinelli "Giuseppe & Luisa" Russian River Valley Zinfandel (92ST, 90RP). Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "Good medium red. Brambly raspberry, currant and tobacco aromas complicated by hints of dill and dried flowers; almost pinot-like. Wonderfully sweet and velvety-deep, with a pliant texture given shape and verve by lively acidity. This is already delicious but should be even better for a year of two of additional cellaring. (ST)" (06/2005)
Starting Bid: $120.00

Bid on this 5-bottle lot of 2003 Lynch-Bages, Pauillac (94JS, 94RP, 94W&S, 94WE, 92WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "A healthy, youthful dark plum/ruby/purple color is followed by a bouquet of smoke, barbecued meats, black currants and new saddle leather. With full body and sweet tannin, this 2003 is strutting its stuff … it is a complex, classic Pauillac to enjoy over the next decade. (RP)" (08/2014)
Starting Bid: $550.00

Bid on this bottle of 2003 Abreu "Thorevilos" Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (97RP). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Like the Madrona Ranch, the 2003 Thorevilos comes from the St. Helena AVA. Co-owned with Ric Forman, this is one of the true first-growth sites in all of California. The dense plum/ruby/purple color is followed by aromas of white acacia flowers, blueberry liqueur, creme de cassis and incense. The wine cuts a slightly deeper, richer, fuller-bodied mouthfeel than even the Madrona, but displays no harshness. Just entering its plateau of full maturity, the wine offers beautiful purity, symmetry and density as well as a subtle hint of new oak. A certain youthfulness suggests it might outlive its sibling, but it is still too early to know. (RP)" (06/2013)
Starting Bid: $230.00

Bid on this bottle of 2003 Domaine Dujac Charmes Chambertin Grand Cru ((90-92BH), 90ST). Allen Meadows - Burghound: "This too is aromatically fresh and bright with an exuberant, slightly exotic and spicy nose that leads to opulent yet firmly structured full-bodied flavors blessed with plenty of mid-palate concentration and a long, sweet, intense and well-delineated finish. This is a big Charmes with plenty of power and while it stops just short of being robust, there is plenty of wine here." (02/2005)
Starting Bid: $175.00
