Bid on this bottle of 2001 Mouton Rothschild, Pauillac (94JS, 94RP, 94WS, 91ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "This has another outstanding bouquet with notes of blackberry, wild hedgerow, graphite and a touch of orange peel. Great delineation and vigour, a little more generous than Lafite that overtakes after an hour in bottle. The palate is medium-bodied with fine tannins, superb acidity, great depth but perhaps just missing the persistency and vigour of the Lafite. Great mineralite on the tobacco and autumn leaf-finish. (NM)" (05/2011)
Starting Bid: $402.00

Bid on this 12-bottle lot of 2001 Whispering Dove "Reserve" Oakville Cabernet Sauvignon in original wood.
Starting Bid: $480.00

Bid on this 4-bottle lot of 2001 Clark-Claudon Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (92RP). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Reminiscent of a great vintage of Chateau Margaux, Clark-Claudon’s 2001 Cabernet Sauvignon Estate boasts notes of flowers, graphite, black currants, raspberries, and plums. This tannic, backward 2001 possesses a Bordeaux-like structure as well as a deep, rich, full-bodied personality. Still playing it close to the vest, give it 3-4 more years of bottle age and drink it over the following two decades. (RP)" (02/2005)
Starting Bid: $200.00

Bid on this 4-bottle lot of 2001 Eric Texier Vieilles Vignes Tasting Lot, including 2-bottles of 2001 Eric Texier Châteauneuf du Pape Vielles Vignes and 2-bottles of 2001 Eric Texier Côte-Rôtie Vieilles Vignes. Of the 2001 Eric Texier Châteauneuf du Pape Vielles Vignes,Robert Parker's Wine Advocate writes: "The internationally styled 2001 Châteauneuf du Pape exhibits barrique aging in its notes of black fruit, new oak, espresso, and smoke. Medium-bodied, with considerable finesse and elegance as well as a clean, long finish, it could easily pass for a premier cru from the Côtes de Beaune in a blind tasting. (RP)" (02/2004)
Starting Bid: $130.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2001 Merus Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (96RP, 95WS, 93ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "A superb effort from then-proprietor Mark Herold and his former wife, Erika Gottl, the 2001 Merus reveals an opaque purple color along with an extraordinary bouquet of camphor, graphite, blackberries, blueberry liqueur and subtle oak. It has resolved most of its tannins and is now a full-bodied, concentrated, well-balanced, impressively endowed stunner that has hit its plateau of full maturity where it should remain for another 10-15+ years. (RP)" (06/2011)
Starting Bid: $170.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2001 Spanish Tasting Lot, including 1-bottle of 2001 Alion (Vega Sicilia) Ribera del Duero (95RP, 95VN, 91W&S) and 1-bottle of 2001 Pintia (Vega Sicilia) Toro (95RP, 92DC, 92ST, 91WS). Of the 2001 Alion (Vega Sicilia) Ribera del Duero,Vinous writes: "Bright ruby-red. Musky aromas of currant, roasted herbs, Cuban tobacco, black olive and black pepper. Lush and supple but firmly built, with wonderfully velvety, multilayered flavors of outstanding depth. This combines the solid structure of a top Bordeaux with the sheer sweetness of fruit possible in Spain. As rich as this is, there's no impression of excess weight. The finish features very fine-grained tannins and outstanding palate-saturating persistence. Clearly the finest vintage to date for this wine. (ST)" (09/2005)

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2001 Chateau Montelena "Estate" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (95VN, 92RP). Vinous: "Bright, dark red with ruby tones. Captivating floral lift to the very primary aromas of black cherry, cassis, minerals and earth, plus subtle notes of coffee and mocha. Tactile and sharply delineated, delivering a wonderful balance of sweet fruit and salty mineral and soil elements. Still linear but not at all angular, this penetrating wine finishes firmly tannic, classically dry, subtle and very long, with echoing mineral complexity. Really complete Cabernet here--and stuffed with flavor (ST)" (05/2019)
Starting Bid: $240.00

Bid on this bottle of 2001 Heitz Cellar "Martha's Vineyard" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (95RP, 94JG, 93WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "This was a spectacular performance from this hallowed vineyard as well as one of Napa Valley’s great historic terroirs. Made from 100% Cabernet Sauvignon, it reveals a still youthful personality and will benefit from another 5-7 years of bottle age. An opaque purple color is followed by aromas of graphite, creme de cassis, flowers and background earth as well as spice. The old eucalyptus-filled aromatics of a young Martha’s Vineyard are nowhere to be found as the 2001 is dominated by fruit and earth. Full-bodied and powerful with superb integration of wood, tannin, acidity and alcohol, this large-scaled red is capable of three or more decades of cellaring. It is unquestionably a youthful classic, but it requires patience from its owners. (RP) 95+" (06/2011)
Starting Bid: $165.00

Bid on this bottle of 2001 Domaine Faiveley Chambertin-Clos de Bèze Grand Cru ((91-94ST), 93BH). Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "Deep, bright red. Subtle, soil-inflected aromas of raspberry, minerals, tobacco and rose petal. Lush, thick and fat, with compelling flavors of musky, sappy berries. The silkiest of these young 2001s today. Finishes with chewy but very smooth tannins and slow-mounting, palate-saturating flavor. (ST)" (03/2003)
