1970 Haut-Brion, Graves
Bid on this bottle of 1970 Haut-Brion, Graves (94JG, 92RP, 90WS). John Gilman: "This bottle of 1970 Haut Brion was flat out magnificent, with a depth and intensity that only comes from pristinely stored examples. The magnificent bouquet soars from the glass in a mélange of red berries, tobacco, coffee, St. Emilion-like menthol tones, cocoa powder, orange zest, hot bricks and a pungent, mature Graves note of candle wax. On the palate the wine is medium-full, long and intensely-flavored, with fabulous focus and depth, and a very, very long, seamless and complex finish. There are beautiful framing acids here which give the wine lift and brightness. A beautiful example of the 1970 vintage. (Drink between 2006-2025) " (05/2007)

1995 La Mission Haut-Brion, Pessac-Leognan
Bid on this bottle of 1995 La Mission Haut-Brion, Pessac-Leognan (95RP, 92WS, 91ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "This vintage is aging at a glacial pace and the tannins are currently more significant than their counterbalancing components of fruit and glycerin. While the word “potential” seems to be the most positive descriptor for this vintage, there are some nagging doubts about whether all the tannins will melt away and the fruit will hold. As in most 1995s, the color remains a healthy dark plum/purple. One of the bigger wines of the vintage, the ripe, powerful Merlot component has buttressed the Cabernet elements, giving the wine plenty of body, tannin and La Mission’s classic asphalt, cassis, blackberry, smoky barbecue, meaty notes intermixed with a hint of hot rocks. The 1995 is still a young wine and I am beginning to wonder if this vintage overall will resemble 1975 rather than something with more charm? (RP)" (08/2012)

2003 Haut-Bailly, Pessac-Léognan
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2003 Haut-Bailly, Pessac-Léognan (93JS, 91RP, 90ST). James Suckling: "The warm vintage of 2003 gives this loads of fruit, like raspberries and strawberry jam. Full-bodied and very fresh with soft, round tannins. A long and yummy wine. Delicious now but please wait to pull the cork until at least 2013." (03/2012)

2008 Haut-Bailly, Pessac-Léognan
Bid on this bottle of 2008 Haut-Bailly, Pessac-Léognan (96RP, 93VN, 93WE, 92JS, 92ST, 90WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "A candidate for the -wine of the vintage,- the 2008 Haut-Bailly possesses incredible complexity. Tell-tale notes of lead pencil shavings, charcoal, damp earth, black cherries and black currants intermixed with a hint of subtle barbecue smoke are present in this classic, quintessential Graves. Medium-bodied with an emerging, precocious complexity, it is a super-pure, beautifully textured, long wine that can be drunk now or cellared for 20-25 years. Bravo! (RP)" (05/2011)

2012 Pape Clément, Pessac-Léognan
Bid on this 5-bottle lot of 2012 Pape Clément, Pessac-Léognan (97RP, 94JD, 94VN, 94WS, 93JS, 93WE). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The iconic 2012 Pape Clement is a candidate for near-perfection as well as one of the wines of the vintage. From proprietor Bernard Magrez, this is a blend of 51% Cabernet Sauvignon, 46% Merlot, 2% Petit Verdot and 1% Cabernet Franc. This extraordinary vineyard (a few miles to the west of Haut Brion and La Mission Haut Brion) has hit all the highlights of this vintage. Interestingly, the quality of the Pomerols and Graves wines in 2012 is closer to what one would consider a great vintage than the general image of 2012. This is truly great wine and not far off their magnificent 2005 and 2010. Full-bodied, with rich cassis, subtle burning embers and spice followed by velvety, well-integrated tannins, the wine is lush, expansive, savory and profound. This is a remarkable wine that could be drunk at a reasonably young age, but should cellar brilliantly for a q

2010 Haut-Brion, Pessac-Léognan
Bid on this bottle of 2010 Haut-Brion, Pessac-Léognan (100RP, 99WS, 98ST, 98WE, 97JS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "As for the 2010 Haut-Brion, it does not have the power of Latour’s 2010 or the intense lead pencil shavings and chocolaty component of Lafite-Rothschild, but it is extraordinary, perfect wine. It has a slightly lower pH than the 2009 (3.7 versus the 2009's 3.8), and even higher alcohol than the 2009 (14.6%). The wine is ethereal. From its dense purple color to its incredibly subtle but striking aromatics that build incrementally, offering up a spectacular smorgasbord of aromas ranging from charcoal and camphor to black currant and blueberry liqueur and spring flowers, this wine’s finesse, elegant yet noble power and authority come through in a compelling fashion. It is full-bodied, but that’s only apparent in the aftertaste, as the wine seems to float across the palate with remarkable sweetness, harmony, and the integration of all its component parts – alcohol, tannin,
