1978 Pichon-Lalande, Pauillac
Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 1978 Pichon-Lalande, Pauillac (93RP, 92WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "This has a very expressive nose, a touch of greenness but ebullient black fruits, tar, graphite and cedar all with very fine definition. The palate is medium-bodied, quite sweet and silky on the entry with good acidity, notes of black cherries, iodine and an almost sorbet like character towards the finish that shows a surprising amount of glycerine. This is certainly a great success for the vintage, kudos to the late-Michel Delon for fashioning such great wines in modest growing seasons. Drink now-2025. (NM-Wine Journal)" (09/2009)

2016 Pichon-Lalande, Pauillac
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2016 Pichon-Lalande, Pauillac (100JD, 100VN, 98DC, 98JS, 98RP, 97WS, 95WE). Vinous: "The 2016 Pichon-Longueville Comtesse de Lalande is every bit as regal as it has always been. Towering and spectacularly rich in the glass, the 2016 captures every ounce of potential is showed from barrel. The 2016 is a vivid, dramatically sweeping wine that will leave readers week at the knees. Beams of tannin give the 2016 soaring intensity that is matched by a host of aromas and flavors that open up in the glass. Blackberry jam, graphite, spice, menthol, licorice, pencil shavings and spice are all finely sketched in a bold, savory Pauillac that hits all the right notes. The 2016 Pichon Comtesse has been riveting on each of the four occasions I have tasted it from barrel thus far, making it easily one of the wines of the vintage. Nicolas Glumineu and his team turned out an epic Pichon Comtesse in 2016. Don't miss it! (AG)" (01/2019)

Bid on this bottle of 1970 Lynch-Bages, Pauillac (92WS, 91RP). Wine Spectator: "I drank a lot of this in Paris when I lived there in the mid-1980s. And I had a bottle this summer as well. Always outstanding. Shows intense aromas of prune and licorice. Full, velvety and long. This is a beautiful Bordeaux. At its peak. (2007) (Web only)" (01/2007)

2000 Lynch-Bages, Pauillac
Bid on this bottle of 2000 Lynch-Bages, Pauillac (97RP, 96WS, 95JS, 95WE, 94VN, 92W&S). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Beginning to open magnificently, the still dense purple-colored 2000 reveals a blossoming bouquet of blackberries, cassis, graphite and pen ink. Full-bodied with velvety tannins that have resolved themselves beautifully over the last eleven years, this wine is still an adolescent, but it exhibits admirable purity, texture, mouthfeel and power combined with elegance. One of the all-time great examples of Lynch Bages, the 2000 is just beginning to drink well yet promises to last for another 20-25+ years. (RP)" (08/2011)

1988 Lynch-Bages, Pauillac
Bid on this bottle of 1988 Lynch-Bages, Pauillac (95WS, 92RP, 91VN). Wine Spectator: "Complex aromas of dark chocolate, currant and cigar box. Full-bodied, with chewy tannins and a mouthpuckering finish. Still very concentrated and chewy. Finishes with loads of ripe fruits, tobacco and cedar. Big and juicy wine. Give it a couple of years still. (JS, Web Only-2009)"

2001 Mouton Rothschild, Pauillac
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2001 Mouton Rothschild, Pauillac (94JS, 94RP, 94WS, 91ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "This has another outstanding bouquet with notes of blackberry, wild hedgerow, graphite and a touch of orange peel. Great delineation and vigour, a little more generous than Lafite that overtakes after an hour in bottle. The palate is medium-bodied with fine tannins, superb acidity, great depth but perhaps just missing the persistency and vigour of the Lafite. Great mineralite on the tobacco and autumn leaf-finish. 2000 Pontet-Canet, Pauillac
Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2000 Pontet-Canet, Pauillac (94JS, 93ST, 92RP, 92WS). James Suckling: "I drank this fabulous 2000 Pontet-Canet in Hong Kong last summer at home with family. It was a wonderfully complex wine that was really starting to show its best. On the nose it displayed tar and currants with hints of dried fruits and berries. It was full-bodied yet so refined and delicious at the same time." (06/2016)

1989 Pichon-Baron, Pauillac (1.5L)
Bid on this magnum of 1989 Pichon-Baron, Pauillac (1.5L) (95RP, 95WS, 94ST, 94VN). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Both the 1989 and 1990 vintages exhibit opaque, dense purple colors that suggest massive wines of considerable extraction and richness. The dense, full-bodied 1989 is brilliantly made with huge, smoky, chocolatey, cassis aromas intermingled with scents of toasty oak. Well-layered, with a sweet inner-core of fruit, this awesomely endowed, backward, tannic, prodigious 1989 needs another 5-6 years of cellaring; it should last for three decades or more. It is unquestionably a great Pichon-Longueville-Baron. (RP)" (02/1997)

2000 Pichon-Lalande, Pauillac
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2000 Pichon-Lalande, Pauillac (96JS, 96RP, 96WE, 95WS, 94VN, 92W&S). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "I find this to be a spectacular Pichon Lalande. Dense purple in color, with loads of coffee, mocha, creme de cassis, and chocolate notes, this is a somewhat unusual blend of 50% Cabernet Sauvignon, 34% Merlot, and a whooping 10% Petit Verdot, with a little bit of Cabernet Franc. The Petit Verdot certainly gives the wine more of a tapenade, floral note, which I think can be interpreted by some as herbal. (RP)" (06/2010)

1964 Lynch-Bages, Pauillac
Bid on this bottle of 1964 Lynch-Bages, Pauillac. This Lynch-Bages comes from the early period of the stewardship of André Cazes, who expanded the vineyards by replanting areas abandoned since the destruction of older vineyards by phylloxera. The modern 100-acre estate is the legacy of his tenure and this wine is a example of the evolving winemaking and growing expertise that produces the almost flawless Bordeaux wines we currently enjoy.

1989 Mouton Rothschild, Pauillac
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 1989 Mouton Rothschild, Pauillac (98JS, 97DC, 96WS, 95JG, 93RP). James Suckling: "Freshly picked blackberries turn into minty dark chocolate and oozing caramel with domineering eucalyptus on the nose. It becomes yet more complex on the palate thanks to layers upon layers of spices and sage plus fat and rounded tannins. There's a long finish with a bitter aftertaste, suggesting this could do with another 10 years or more of bottle aging. This is a Mouton I found massive at the time, then elegant and slightly austere years later, but today true to its former glory. Like the amazing 1947, it should not be forgotten." (06/2016)

1940 Lafite Rothschild, Pauillac
Bid on this bottle of 1940 Lafite Rothschild, Pauillac. Wine Spectator: "Elegant, supple and nicely complex in flavor, a bit too dry, but it still has good intensity. Cherry, mint and spice notes carry nicely into the finish.--Lafite Rothschild vertical." (11/1991)

1982 Mouton-Rothschild, Pauillac (1.5L)
Bid on this magnum of 1982 Mouton-Rothschild, Pauillac (1.5L) (100JD, 100JS, 100RP, 98ST, 97DC, 96VN). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "This wine remains one of the legends of Bordeaux. It has thrown off the backward, youthful style that existed during its first 25 years of life, and over the last 4-5 years has developed such secondary nuances as cedar and spice box. The creme de cassis, underlying floral note, full-bodied power, extraordinary purity, multilayered texture, and finish of over a minute are a showcase for what this Chateau accomplished in 1982. The wine is still amazingly youthful, vibrant, and pure. It appears capable of remaining fruity and vibrant in 2082! Thank God it is beginning to budge, as I would like to drink most of my supply before I kick the bucket. This is a great, still youthful wine, and, on occasion, one does understand the hierarchy of Bordeaux chateaux when you see the complexity and brilliance of this first-growth. (RP)" (06/2009)
