Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2007 Tablas Creek "Esprit de Beaucastel" Paso Robles Rhône Blend (95JD, 95RP, 94ST, 94WS, 93IWR). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The prodigious 2007 Esprit de Beaucastel is a blend of 44% Mourvedre, 29% Grenache, 21% Syrah, and the rest Counoise. A very great wine, very much in the mold of its French cousin, Chateau Beaucastel, the wine has a saturated ruby/purple color and a gorgeous nose of melted licorice, charcoal, blueberry, and blackberries intermixed with freshly sliced mushrooms, tree bark, and pepper. Spicy, dense, full-bodied, and extraordinarily complex, yet at the same time well-delineated and fresh, it should drink well for 10-15+ years. (RP)" (08/2010)
Starting Bid: $100.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2012 Epoch "Ingenuity" Paso Robles Rhône Blend (94RP, 92VN). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Another blockbuster, the 2012 Ingenuity Proprietary Red is comprised of 58% Syrah, 18% Mourvedre, 14% Grenache and 10% Petite Sirah that was fermented in concrete and stainless steel before spending 18 months in 40% new French oak. Ripe, voluptuous and textured, with beautifully managed tannic grip, it offers lots of black fruits, smoke, licorice, chocolate and hints of spice on the nose, with some saline minerality on the finish. Coming 80% from the Paderewski vineyard and 20% from Catapult Vineyard, it's a killer Paso red to enjoy over the coming 7-8 years. (JD)" (08/2015)
Starting Bid: $110.00

Starting Bid: $140.00

Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2008 Copain "James Berry Vineyard" Paso Robles Syrah ((91-93RP), 92ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The dark purple hued 2008 Syrah James Berry Vineyard is tightly-knit and restrained, but with coaxing, it offers up scents of creme de cassis, blueberries, melted asphalt, and charcoal. Its impressive texture, stunning richness, and good underlying minerality suggest this brilliant Syrah will evolve for a decade or more." (02/2010)
Starting Bid: $210.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2012 L'Aventure "Optimus Estate" Paso Robles Red Blend (94RP). (JD)" (08/2014)
Starting Bid: $135.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2013 L'Aventure "Estate Cuvée" Paso Robles Red Blend (97RP, 93VN). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The top wine of the estate and a blend that was the reason Stephan left Pomerol, the 2013 Estate Cuvee checks in as 43% Syrah, 42% Cabernet Sauvignon and 15% Petit Verdot that comes all from his estate vineyard. It's locked and loaded with black and blue fruit, crushed rock, licorice and ground herbs, and I wrote that it seemed like it was filtered through a rocky riverbed in my notes. Serious, structured and tight, yet fabulously concentrated and pure, it needs 3-4 years of cellaring and will keep for two decades. (JD) 97+" (08/2015)
Starting Bid: $140.00

Jeb Dunnuck: "Built around old, head-trained vines right outside the winery and 58% Grenache, 27% Mataro, 11% Petite Sirah, and the rest Tempranillo, the 2017 Hexe is another gorgeous, sexy 2017 that's a joy to drink. Offering loads of blackberries, chocolate, white pepper, black licorice, and bouquet garni-like aromas and flavors, it’s full-bodied, ultra-pure, seamless, and gorgeously put together. Drink this stunning wine over the coming 10-15 years." (09/2020)

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2014 L'Aventure "Côte a Côte Estate" Paso Robles Rhône Blend (96RP, 93JD, 93VN, 92WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Looking at the 2014s, these are serious wines that are reminiscent of Stephan's sensational 2012s (which were some of the top rated wines in the vintage). The 2014 Cote a Cote is 50% Grenache, 28% Mourvedre and 22% Syrah, all from the limestone soils of the estate L'Aventure vineyard. Deep, full-bodied, gorgeously layered and with plenty of fine tannin, this big, rich 2014 is loaded with notions of cassis, toasted spice, peppery herbs and graphite. Still backwards and tight, yet loaded with potential, give bottles 2-3 years and enjoy over the following decade. One of the reference point estates in Paso Robles is unquestionably Stephan Asseo's l'Aventure. Located just off of highway 46, in the middle of the appellation, Stephan now producers six red cuvees: The entry level Optimus based on Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon and Petit Verdot; The Cote
Starting Bid: $135.00

Bid on this 4-bottle lot of 2009 Copain "James Berry Vineyard" Paso Robles Syrah (93VN). Vinous: "Inky ruby. Pungent, smoke-accented aromas of cassis, boysenberry, cola, incense and violet, with a hint of cracked pepper adding lift. Densely packed dark berry flavors show serious power and pick up spiciness with aeration. Really stains the palate, offering an array of floral and spice notes on the impressively long, chewy finish. On the primary side, which is no great surprise, but this highly promising syrah seems set for a slow and positive evolution in the bottle. (ST) 93+" (05/2011)
Starting Bid: $160.00

Bid on this bottle of 2003 Copain "James Berry Vineyard" Paso Robles Syrah (96RP, 91ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "An astonishing effort, the 2003 Syrah James Berry Vineyard (the home vineyard of Saxum planted on fractured limestone soils) possesses a dense purple color as well as an extraordinary nose of incense, Asian spices, black tea, blackberries, and cassis. The soaring aromas are followed by staggeringly majestic, full-bodied, multilayered, and enormously well-endowed flavors. (RP)" (12/2005)
Starting Bid: $40.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2016 L'Aventure "Estate Cuvée" Paso Robles Red Blend (99JD, (97-99RP), 96VN). The full-bodied palate is rich, opulent and firmly structured, with great purity and depth, finishing with lingering spice and dried herbs notes. (LPB) 97-99+" (09/2017)

Of the 2017 Saxum "G2" Paso Robles Rhône Blend,Jeb Dunnuck writes: "The 2017 G2 Vineyard reminds me of a great vintage of Raymond Usseglio’s Chateauneuf du Pape Cuvée Imperiale. Flirting with perfection and one of the greatest Rhône blends I’ve tasted from California, it offers a smorgasbord of sweet black and blue fruits, crushed violets, flowery incense, and pepper." (10/2019)

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2012 L'Aventure "Estate Cuvée" Paso Robles Red Blend (98RP). It has fabulous purity to go with notions of sweet red and black berries, crushed flowers, licorice and rose petal on the nose. This flows to a medium to full-bodied, supple and seamless red that has no hard edges, building richness, and a graceful, lightly textured feel that never seems heavy or cumbersome. It will thrill for upward of a decade. (JD)" (08/2014)
