Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2012 Caymus "40th Anniversary" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (96RP). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "They appear to be immune to some of winedom’s less than intelligent trends and fads that we see from time to time, and the result is a spectacular 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon 40th Anniversary offering. Its dense purple/black color is followed by copious quantities of crème de cassis and blackberry fruit, silky tannins, a voluptuous texture and stunning purity as well as length. This full-bodied effort is a fabulous example of Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon as well as a tribute to this amazing family. It is so good now, why wait? However, I’m sure that like most vintages of Caymus, it will last for 20-25 years. Amazing! (RP)" (10/2014)
Starting Bid: $450.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2017 Scarecrow Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (OWC - 97JD, 97RP, 97VN) in original wood. Vinous: "The 2017 Scarecrow Cabernet Sauvignon is stunning. Seamless on the palate, with remarkable depth and richness, the 2017 has so much to offer. Black cherry jam, blackberry, chocolate, licorice, spice and menthol build in a rich, sumptuous Cabernet Sauvignon that hits all the right notes. Best of all, the 2017 will drink well with only minimal cellaring. It is without question one of the wines of the vintage. (AG)" (01/2020)

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 1997 Chateau Montelena "Estate" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (98RP, 95WS, 93VN). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "There are 10,200 cases of the remarkable 1997 Cabernet Sauvignon Estate. Opaque purple-colored with a dense, chewy, full-bodied personality, it displays abundant cassis, mineral, and earth notes. This brilliantly made, super-concentrated, pure, blockbuster possesses sweet tannin as well as a terrific finish. Having added additional weight since last year, this sumptuous, multilayered, profoundly concentrated Cabernet contains 14% alcohol. (RP)" (12/2000)

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2008 Beaulieu Vineyard "Georges de Latour Private Reserve" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (94VN, 93RP, 93WS, 91CG). Vinous: "Dark, bright ruby-red, showing virtually no evolution at the rim. The nose offers complex, musky scents of dark plum, mocha and graphite, plus a suggestion of tobacco. At once compellingly generous, shapely and firm, this seamless wine is remarkably balanced for its extreme growing season, offering sound framing acidity and beautifully incorporated oak. The explosive finish deliver terrific energy and harmonious tannins. This gives pleasure now but should evolve in bottle for another 15 to 20 years. Incidentally, this was the first Georges de Latour made in Beaulieu's new dedicated facility. (ST)" (04/2019)
Starting Bid: $150.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2017 Realm "The Tempest" Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (96JS, 94JD, 91VN). James Suckling: "Beautiful blueberries and violets with tar and spice. Of the 2017 Schrader "Beckstoffer To Kalon - CCS" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon,Jeb Dunnuck writes: "Another wine in the running for the wine of the vintage is the 2017 Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer To Kalon Vineyard CCS, which, as always, is all Cabernet aged in new Darnajou barrels. This full-bodied, magical 2017 has incredibly polished, silky tannins as well as a mammoth-sized texture and mouthfeel. Loaded with notions of blueberries, white flowers, graphite, candied violets, and incense, it’s one of those wines that carries incredible richness and depth y

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 1998 Heitz Cellar "Martha's Vineyard" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (94JG). John Gilman: "This was the first time that I had the pleasure to taste the 1998 vintage of Martha’s Vineyard and the wine is excellent. The bouquet wafts from the glass in a ripe and classic constellation of sappy cherries, blood orange, a touch of red currant, eucalyptus, a fine base of soil, cedar and fine spicy complexity in the upper register. On the palate the wine is deep, full-bodied and now nicely open for business as it closes on its twentieth birthday, with a superb core, impeccable balance and a very long, complex and moderately tannic finish. A classic in the making. (Drink between 2020-2060) 94+" (09/2016)

Bid on this 5-bottle lot of 2015 Aubert "Sugar Shack" Napa Valley Chardonnay (97JS, 97RP, 93VN). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2015 Chardonnay Sugar Shack Estate is pure honeyed apricots and beeswax with suggestions of bread, salted almonds, croissant and a touch of aniseed. It is full-bodied, rich, intense, lifted, fresh and really well structured with a solid backbone, finishing long and sleek with some minerals. (LPB)" (10/2017)

Of the 2013 Clos du Val Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon,Vinous writes: "The 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon is striking. Powerful and dense in the glass, with utterly mesmerizing balance, the 2013 hits all the right spots. Graphite, smoke, grilled herbs, black cherries and incense form a tapestry of aromas and flavors that simply dazzles. The 2013 needs time in bottle for the tannins to soften, but it is a real head-turner. The combination of intense tannin and opulent fruit is classic 2013. (AG) 95+" (11/2015)

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2016 To Kalon Vineyard Co. "Highest Beauty" Oakville Cabernet Sauvignon (99JS, 97JD, 97WS). James Suckling: "This pure cabernet sauvignon is the real deal with redcurrant and terracotta character on both the nose and palate. It’s full-bodied, yet really reserved and ultra-refined. The quality of the tannins is super with such fine grain, yet it continues on for minutes. This is the first release and it shows beautiful classicism. Shows the essence of the place. Needs four or five years to come around. Try after 2023." (12/2020)
Starting Bid: $260.00

Bid on this bottle of 2001 Screaming Eagle Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (99RP). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Only 450 cases were made of this blend of 88% Cabernet Sauvignon, 10% Merlot and 2% Cabernet Franc from former proprietor Jean Phillips’ vineyards just south of the Oakville crossroads. The spectacular dense blue/purple color remains opaque. The wine displays the hallmark creme de cassis, floral and licorice notes that are so pure, vivid and intense, and which have always been part of this vineyard’s classic trademark. With great purity, a full-bodied mouthfeel and even more thickness, power and density than I remember, this wine has put on weight, developed more structure, and looks like a candidate for 30 more years of aging potential. This is a brilliant wine, much in keeping with the legendary status of this producer. (RP)" (06/2011)

Of the 2012 Lewis Cellars Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon,Wine Spectator writes: "Beautifully crafted, rich and layered, this offers tiers of currant, blackberry, mocha, espresso and vanilla notes. The flavors slowly build depth while retaining an elegant mouthfeel, ending with a long, persistent finish that keeps echoing the core components. (JL)" (10/2014)

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2007 Colgin "IX Estate" Napa Valley Syrah (95RP, 95VN, 93WS). Vinous: "Saturated dark red-ruby. Aromas of blackberry, violet and licorice are accented by dried herbs and mocha. Savory, tactile and highly concentrated, offering outstanding precision to its complex flavors of dark raspberry, licorice, flint, smoke, beef brisket and black olive. Really remarkable retention of primary fruit for a ten-year-old California Syrah. At once salty and energetic, this beauty finishes with incredibly plush tannins and palate-staining length. (ST) 95+" (04/2017)
Starting Bid: $246.00

Bid on this bottle of 2010 Bond "Matriarch" Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (93VN, 92JS, 92WS, 91RP, 91ST). Vinous: "The 2010 Matriarch is quite beautiful in this vintage. Supple and juicy at first, the 2010 has plenty of underlying structure. Rose petals, violets, new leather and a hint of orange peel appear on an exotic, perfumed finish laced with veins if dark red and blue fruits. (AG)" (11/2013)
Starting Bid: $140.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2015 Eisele Vineyards "Altagracia" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (95JS, 94RP). James Suckling: "This is a dense and juicy red with characters of blackberries, chocolate and pine needles. Sweet tobacco, too. Full body and round, polished tannins. A more dialed-in, terroir character than in past vintages. 88% cabernet sauvignon, 7% cabernet franc and 5% petit verdot." (05/2018)

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 1997 Plumpjack Oakville Cabernet Sauvignon (94WE). Wine Enthusiast: "Another winner from this Getty-affiliated winery. A little austere now, but really fine quality. Hold for a few years." (02/2000)

Bid on this bottle of 2012 Screaming Eagle "Second Flight" Oakville Bordeaux Blend (97JS, 96RP, 95JD, 94VN). A blend of 43% Merlot, 48% Cabernet Sauvignon and 9% Cabernet Franc. " (07/2015)
Starting Bid: $605.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2013 Realm "Farella Vineyard" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (98RP, 97JS, 95VN, 93WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "From the southeastern AVA Coombsville in the Vaca Mountains, the 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon Farella Vineyard is 100% Cabernet Sauvignon from white tufa and decomposed red volcanic sedimentary soils. For whatever reason, it seems that people who buy from this vineyard make better wine than the actual owners, which I'm sad to say, is not exactly what proprietors Tom and Frank Farella would like to hear. This is a terrific Cabernet Sauvignon made from clones 4 and 8, offering a rich nose of blackberries, dark earth, a touch of barrique, and some baking spices. The wine is rich, full-bodied, tannic and backward. Deep and super-concentrated, it needs another 2-3 years of cellaring, but should last another 25-30 years. (RP)" (12/2015)
Starting Bid: $320.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2008 Rudd "Oakville Estate" Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (99RP, 94WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The finest Rudd Estate Proprietary Red Rudd has yet made is the 2008. A blend of 49% Cabernet Sauvignon, 23% Cabernet Franc, 14% Petit Verdot and 14% Malbec, it offers up aromas of blue and black fruits, charcoal, white chocolate and flowers. The soaring aromatics are followed by a wine with fabulous concentration, a seamless integration of acidity, tannin, alcohol and wood, a brilliant texture, a fabulous personality and loads of complexity as well as full-bodied richness. This potentially legendary proprietary red already possesses remarkably sweet tannin. ... Bravo! (RP)" (12/2010)

Of the 2013 Schrader "Beckstoffer To Kalon - CCS" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon,Robert Parker's Wine Advocate writes: "There is something ethereal about the 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon CCS, a wine that I tend to give more perfect scores to than of the other Schrader offerings. This is clone 4 from a special block of the Beckstoffer To Kalon Vineyard in Oakville, and it always seems to have these incredible, explosive aromatics ranging from blueberry to blackberry to cass

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 1991 Liparita Howell Mountain Merlot. Prohibition may have brought a sorry end to many Napa wineries, but fortunately decades later people like Spencer and Lindsay Hoopes have brought them back to life. Liparita was founded in 1880 and was an award-winning winery—the estate was awarded a gold and bronze medal at the Paris Exposition in 1900, among others—until its demise due to the detriments of phylloxera and Prohibition. The name of the estate was inspired by the soils of the island of Lipari off of Sicily which the original owner and geologist, William Keyes, found to be similar to the volcanic soils on his estate on Howell Mountain.

Of the 2003 Keenan "Mernet Reserve" Spring Mountain District Bordeaux Blend,Robert Parker's Wine Advocate writes: "An equal part blend of Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon, the 2003 Mernet exhibits a dense ruby/purple color along with sweet, creamy cassis and floral notes that suggest high-elevation mountain vineyards. The palate is full-bodied, rich, youthful and surprisingly unevolved for a wine that is a decade in age. Crunchy acidity adds to the vibrancy of this big red, which appears to have two decades of positive evolution ahead of it. All five of these 2003s are extremely impressive. While I have not looked back at my notes from initial barrel and post

Bid on this 4-bottle lot of 2005 & 2012 White Rock "Laureate" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon Tasting Lot, including 2-bottles of 2005 White Rock "Laureate" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (93RP, 92CG, 92ST, 90WS) and 2-bottles of 2012 White Rock "Laureate" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (92JS, 91RP). Of the 2005 White Rock "Laureate" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon,Robert Parker's Wine Advocate writes: "The 2005 Cabernet Sauvignon Laureate Napa Valley is a beauty and a sleeper of the vintage. There were 773 cases produced of this wine, which exhibits a nearly opaque, ruby/purple color and a beautiful nose of blackberry, cassis, graphite and subtle earthiness. It is full-bodied, fresh, beautifully textured and opulent, with no hard edges. The tannins and acidity are present, but beautifully integrated, as is any oak. Especially impressive are the rich mid-palate and long, pure, gorgeously refined and textured finish. This is a winner that can be drunk now, or cellared for at least another

Bid on this bottle of 2011 Kongsgaard "The Judge" Napa Valley Chardonnay (96VN, 95RP, 94ST, 94WS). Vinous: "The 2011 Chardonnay The Judge has come together beautifully since I tasted it last year. Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2015 Joseph Phelps "Backus" Oakville Cabernet Sauvignon (98JD, 97RP, 97VN, 95JS). Jeb Dunnuck: "The 2015 Cabernet Sauvignon Backus Vineyard is a blockbuster that does everything right, and I’m probably underrating this beauty. Incorporating a small amount of Petit Verdot and Malbec (which are always co-fermented), this deeply colored beauty gives up a massive bouquet of smoked black fruits, graphite, cassis, and tobacco leaf, with more minerality and black licorice with time in the glass. Possessing full-bodied richness, a mouthfilling decadence, sweet tannins, and a meaty, powerful style, count yourself lucky if you have any of this in the cellar. It will continue drinking beautifully for three decades or more." (01/2019)

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2005 Mayacamas Mt. Veeder Cabernet Sauvignon (96VN, 94DC). Vinous: "The 2005 Cabernet Sauvignon is a gorgeous wine, but it also needs a good hour or more of air for some of the initial signs of funkiness to blow off. As that happens, the 2005 reveals a core of intense, concentrated dark fruit to match its brooding personality. Leather, smoke, licorice and tobacco all add to an impression of inward power, and yet in the glass, the 2005 opens up beautifully to show notable density and layers of texture that still need time to fully emerge. Although I have had better bottles, this is certainly a very fine example. Readers lucky enough to own the 2005 can look forward to several decades of exceptional drinking from this powerhouse, old school Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon. (AG)" (10/2018)

It’s a classic 2014 possessing the purity, elegance, and sheer charm that’s the hallmark of this terrific vintage in the Valley. Crème de cassis, black raspberries, crushed flowers, and incense notes all develop with time in the glass, and while it starts out reticent and lightly textured, it gains incredible depth and length over the evening. This is Napa Valley at its most finesse-driven and elegant, and it’s going to drink beautifully for another two decades." (02/2018)

Up there with the of the top vintages of the cuvee, this full-bodied, rounded and hedonistic 2014 shines in the vintage, has no hard edges, gorgeous purity, and plenty of ripe, sweet tannin. Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2013 Abreu "Rothwell Hyde" St. Helena Bordeaux Blend (93VN, 92RP). Vinous: "The 2013 Rothwell Hyde is the hidden gem in this lineup from Abreu. Made from a selection of fruit that does not go into the single-vineyard wines, the Rothwell Hyde captures all of the Abreu signatures in a more approachable style that also comes with an relatively accessible price tag by Napa Valley standards. Scents of graphite, charcoal and inky blue-ish fruits infuse this super-expressive, inviting wine. Readers who can find the 2013 Rothwell Hyde should not hesitate, as it is terrific. Once again, winemaker Brad Grimes poured the Rothwell Hyde at the end of our tasting, after all the other wines. It did certainly did not suffer in comparison to the other wines, to say the least. If anything, the slightly lower level of intensity in the various lots has resulted in a wine that can be enjoyed with minimal cellaring, which is a rarity here. The 2013 is a total knockout. Bid on this 4-bottle lot of 2018 Aubert "Sugar Shack" Napa Valley Chardonnay ((97-99RP), (93-96VN)). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Produced from Montrachet Clone vines (what Mark Aubert calls “the citrus circus clone") grown in Rutherford AVA, the 2018 Chardonnay Sugar Shack comes bounding out of the glass with a sit-up-and-beg nose of candied lemon peel, green mango, guava and lime leaves plus hints of honeysuckle, toasted almonds, crushed stones and nutmeg. Full-bodied, the palate is electric with concentrated citrus and tropical fruits and the most amazing tension, featuring a satiny texture and very long, pristine finish. (LPB)" (10/2019)

Bid on this bottle of 2009 The Mascot Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend. The grapes for this wine, which is spearheaded by Bill Harlan's son, Will, come from younger vines on the Harlan and Bond estates. The 2009 vintage of Harlan Estate received 97 points from Robert Parker. Winery note: "2009 was a temperate year with spells of warmth but free of extremes. This lengthy growing season cooled as we approached to harvest, embracing morning fog and moderate temperature throughout the picking. The resulting wines have a higher degree of density and flesh than the previous year, with aromatics more in the vein of dark fruit, spice, and earth. With a more masculine tannin structure, the 2009 will age very well over the next twenty to twenty-five years."

Of the 2012 White Rock Napa Valley Claret,Robert Parker's Wine Advocate writes: "The delicious, complex 2012 Proprietary Red Blend Claret’s dense ruby/purple color is followed by sweet plum, blackcurrant and black cherry notes intermixed with incense and forest floor. The tannins are soft, the acidity noticeable but not intrusive, and the wine is fleshy, powerful and elegant. It is a gorgeous red to drink now and over the next 8-10 years. Traditionally, this cuvée has been composed of all the Bordeaux varietals – Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot. (RP)" (10/2014)

Of the 2001 Oberon Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon,Connoisseurs Guide writes: "It is not especially big and it is not especially flashy, but this well-balanced, medium-bodied offering is very much to the varietal point in terms of its curranty fruit, and it comes with a nice dose of oaky richness. Its tannins are down, but it does not lapse into softness, and it is one to tag for current drinking while its more potent cousins slowly age." (12/2005)

Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 1993 Cabernet Sauvignon Howell Mountain reveals an opaque black color, huge tannin, terrific purity, and density, a broad, heavyweight mouthfeel, and gobs of ripe tannin.
