Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2005 M. Chapoutier "Le Méal" Ermitage Blanc (97WS, 96RP, 94ST). Wine Spectator: "Superdense, with lots of bass showing now--anise, fennel seed, cardamom, glazed pear and fig--but there's still plenty of minerality behind it all, with a long, salted butter finish that just won't quit. Best from 2010 through 2025. (JM)" (06/2008)
Bid on this bottle of 2001 M. Chapoutier "L'Ermite" Ermitage Blanc ((95-98RP), 95WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2001 Ermitage l’Ermite is aged in demi-muids on its lees with malolactic in the barrel, considerable lees stirring, and bottled unfined and unfiltered. Displaying a liqueur of nut-like character along with hints of lychees, orange blossoms, and citrus oils in its pure, intensely mineral-styled personality, it is a prodigious effort that will have to take a back seat to the singular/remarkable 2000 l’Ermite. The 2001 should be at its finest between 2008-2030." (06/2003)
