1995 Domaine Jean-Louis Chave Hermitage
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 1995 Domaine Jean-Louis Chave Hermitage (97RP, 97VN, 95WS, 94ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "A step up and showing more minerality, structure and length, with a masculine style, the 1995 Hermitage is drinking beautifully today. Described as disappointing by Jean-Louis over the past 5 years or so, it appears to be opening up and possesses fabulous, liquid rock-like qualities to go with cassis, blackberry and wild herbs. Medium to full-bodied, fabulously textured, rich and stretching out nicely on the finish, enjoy this beauty over the coming decade. (JD)" (08/2014)

1996 Domaine Jean-Louis Chave Hermitage Blanc
Bid on this bottle of 1996 Domaine Jean-Louis Chave Hermitage Blanc (94VN, 93RP, 91ST, 90WS). Vinous: "Among the whites, I especially admired the 1995 Chave Hermitage Blanc for its complex bouquet of truffles, honey, flowers and spices, all of which flowed through to the unctuous finish. This rich, explosive wine was utterly captivating. I also loved the 1996, which impressed for its cool, brilliant personality and impeccable finish. (AG)" (06/2010)

2015 Domaine Jean-Louis Chave Hermitage Rouge
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2015 Domaine Jean-Louis Chave Hermitage Rouge ((98-100JD), (98-100RP), (96-98VN)). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "After tasting several intermediate blends that will ultimately be combined in some proportion to create the 2015 Hermitage, I would not be surprised to see the final result achieve perfection. Although massively ripe and concentrated, there is still a feeling of balance and elegance in the wines that I fully expect to carry over into the final product. As the blending process isn’t complete, Jean-Louis warned that it was too early to say if there would be a Cuvée Cathelin, which is typically an outstanding parcel that, for some reason, doesn’t work in the rest of the blend. 1998 Domaine Jean-Louis Chave Hermitage
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 1998 Domaine Jean-Louis Chave Hermitage (96JD, 95RP, 95WE, 94VN, 93WS). Jeb Dunnuck: "The 1998 Hermitage is the granite influenced vintage and offered an ethereal, elegant, almost Burgundian style in its dried earth, mineral, and sweet cherry and currant-scented personality. It’s fully mature and as elegant and seamless as it gets. " (11/2017)

1988 Chave Hermitage Blanc
Bid on this bottle of 1988 Chave Hermitage Blanc (96RP). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "To celebrate the promising 2018 harvest, which was underway during my visit, Jean-Louis Chave opened a bottle of the 1988 Hermitage Blanc. Stunning for its truffle-like aromas and rich, marmalade flavors, it remains fresh and zesty enough to suggest it's in no danger of falling over. There's a texture of finely crushed stone and an incredibly long finish. From pristine provenance, this is why properly cellaring wine is so important to ultimately enjoying it to its greatest potential. Drink through 2025. (JC)" (10/2018)

2009 M. Chapoutier "Le Méal" Ermitage Rouge (1.5L)
Bid on this magnum of 2009 M. Chapoutier "Le Méal" Ermitage Rouge (1.5L) (100RP, 97WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Even inkier in color than the 2010, the 2009 Ermitage le Meal is as good as Hermitage gets. Locked and loaded with phenomenal notes of jammy black raspberries, creme de cassis, crushed violets, smoked earth and spice, it's thick and unctuous on the palate, with incredible density, a huge mid-palate and a layered, multi-dimensional, seamless, elegant texture that just keeps you coming back and begging for another sip. More hedonistic and voluptuous than the 2010, it should still evolve for just as long, yet have even a broader drink window. Drink 2015-2049. (JD)" (09/2015)

1995 Paul Jaboulet Aîné "La Chapelle" Hermitage
Bid on this bottle of 1995 Paul Jaboulet Aîné "La Chapelle" Hermitage (91WS, 90RP). Wine Spectator: "From a low-yield, hot-summer vintage, this full-bodied Syrah is still very young and tough, with a plummy, ripe character, chalk, mineral and leather notes and excellent concentration. The tannins are beginning to integrate nicely, but it's still hard. Needs time. (PM)" (12/1999)

2001 Domaine Jean-Louis Chave Hermitage
Bid on this bottle of 2001 Domaine Jean-Louis Chave Hermitage (95WS, 94DC, 94RP, 94ST). Wine Spectator: "This is an elegant, sinewy vintage that is just starting to hit its stride, with a strong sanguine and cedar frame to the core of dried red currant, cherry pit and red licorice notes. A racy iron note is now in full throat on the finish. The commanding minerality should carry this through a second stage of life. (JM, Web-2012)"

1990 Paul Jaboulet Aîné "La Chapelle" Hermitage
Bid on this bottle of 1990 Paul Jaboulet Aîné "La Chapelle" Hermitage (100JD, 100RP, 98JS, 97WS, 96VN). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The color remains an opaque purple, with only a slight pink at the edge. Spectacular aromatics offer up aromas of incense, smoke, blackberry fruit, cassis, barbecue spice, coffee, and a touch of chocolate. As it sits in the glass, additional nuances of pepper and grilled steak emerge. There is extraordinary freshness for such a mammoth wine in addition to abundant tannin, an amazing 60-second finish, and a level of glycerin and thick, fleshy texture that have to be tasted to be believed. Despite its youthfulness, the 1990 La Chapelle is lovely to drink, although it will be even better with another 5-6 years of cellaring; it should age for 35-40+ years. Anticipated maturity: 2005-2050 (RP)" (06/2000)
