1983 Joseph Drouhin Chambolle-Musigny 1er Cru "Les Amoureuses"
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 1983 Joseph Drouhin Chambolle-Musigny 1er Cru "Les Amoureuses". Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Tasted at the Chambolle Amoureuses vertical in London, it has been some 25 years since Robert Parker last reviewed the 1983 Chambolle-Musigny 1er Cru les Amoureuses from Drouhin, noting that the wine underwent an intense filtration. Given that this was not a great Burgundy vintage, this wine has actually matured well. It has a light soy-tinged bouquet with some volatile acidity lending a bit of warmth. The palate is medium-bodied and pleasantly fresh and vital considering its age, nothing complex but with a delicate spicy finish. I would not leave this too much longer, but well kept bottles will give pleasure. (NM)" (03/2016)

1980 Domaine Comte de Vogüé Musigny Grand Cru Vieilles Vignes
Bid on this bottle of 1980 Domaine Comte de Vogüé Musigny Grand Cru Vieilles Vignes (93BH, 92JG). Allen Meadows - Burghound: "Not surprisingly 30 years later, this is much, much fresher in magnum, in fact so much so that it almost seems like a completely different wine. Bricked through. An elegant and wonderfully spicy nose offers up plenty of sous-bois, earth, dried rose petal and a hint of minerality that continues onto the delicious, focused and still relatively concentrated flavors that possess both style and grace before culminating in a refined, delicious and lingering finish. Like most '80s today, this is not a big or even especially powerful effort but the sense of underlying harmony and overall balance is impeccable." (11/2009)

2002 Domaine J-F Mugnier Musigny Grand Cru
Bid on this bottle of 2002 Domaine J-F Mugnier Musigny Grand Cru (97ST, 96RP, 95BH, 95VN, 95WS, 93JG). Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "Medium red. Immediately spectacular aromas of raspberry, baked bread and white truffle. Silky, thick and highly concentrated; densely packed, sappy and wonderfully sweet but seemed to go into a shell after five minutes in the glass. Finishes with a savory note of olive, almost invisible tannins and explosive length. A great showing today, although I can easily imagine this wine continuing to gain in aromatic precision and lift for another ten years. (ST)" (02/2016)

2001 Domaine Groffier Bonnes-Mares Grand Cru
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2001 Domaine Groffier Bonnes-Mares Grand Cru (93ST, 92VN). Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "Deep red. Blackberry, raspberry syrup, shoe polish, rose petal and pepper on the nose; quintessential Bonnes-Mares aromas. A bit less explosive and more backward today than the Amoureuses but also offers a nearly confectionery, sappy sweetness, with superripe flavors of briary black fruits, licorice and pepper. Finishes firm and very long, with black fruits dominating. (ST)" (03/2004)

1969 Domaine Comte de Vogüé Musigny Grand Cru Vieilles Vignes
Bid on this bottle of 1969 Domaine Comte de Vogüé Musigny Grand Cru Vieilles Vignes. From North Berkeley Imports: "With more than 500 years of history and the lion’s share of one of Burgundy’s most hallowed grand crus, Domaine Comte Georges de Vogüé is a cornerstone of Burgundian legend and a vinous dream for modern connoisseurs. Certainly the greatest estate in Chambolle-Musigny if not in greater Burgundy, de Vogüé for 20 generations has been steward of the village’s top terroirs. The estate owns some 80 percent of grand cru Le Musigny, and a significant portion of grand cru Bonnes-Mares. Its premier cru Chambolle-Musigny is crafted exclusively from younger-vine fruit in Musigny; its Bourgogne Blanc is crafted from younger-vine Chardonnay grown also in Musigny (which may soon be born again as a Musigny Blanc). The style of de Vogüé is the epitome of Chambolle—delicate aromas, refined yet profound flavors, a finish made of silk. These are wines that come into their own not ten years do
