Bid on this bottle of 1991 Domaine Comte Georges de Vogüé Musigny Grand Cru Vieilles Vignes ((94-96RP), 94BH, 93JG). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The nose is distinctly de Vogue with smoky black fruits, becoming pruney with age. The palate is very powerful, dense with a lovely smooth entry. Good acidity and tannic. Well-integrated with a touches of grilled meats. Peppery finish. Long. A really great Burgundy that has a long way to go (10+ years.) (NM)" (10/2003)
Starting Bid: $585.00
Bid on this bottle of 2009 Domaine Michèle & Patrice Rion Chambolle-Musigny 1er Cru "Les Charmes" ((89-92BH), 92WS). Wine Spectator: "Sandalwood and licorice notes, with a hint of dill, frame the currant and cherry flavors in this lush red, which is balanced, with a fluid, juicy texture and bright fruit and spice notes on the finish. (BS)" (06/2012)
Starting Bid: $70.00
Bid on this bottle of 1990 Domaine Comte de Vogüé Musigny Grand Cru Vieilles Vignes (100WS, 96RP). Wine Spectator: "A benchmark wine for Burgundy. Defines harmony and class, with layer upon layer of ripe earth and raspberry flavors and a great deal of refined new oak. Has a deep, complex, velvety finish. (PM)" (12/1992)
Bid on this bottle of 2004 Domaine J-F Mugnier Musigny Grand Cru (94ST, 92BH). Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "Deep red. Classic aromas of small wild red berries, mocha and underbrush. Broad, sweet and deep-particularly impressive in the context of the vintage-without any loss of clarity or aromatic lift. Wonderfully suave, full wine that's also surprisingly tastable today. Finishes with noble tannins, noteworthy sweetness of fruit and terrific lift. This one should probably be laid down for seven or eight years. (ST)" (04/2007)
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2009 Domaine Mugneret-Gibourg Chambolle-Musigny 1er Cru "Feusselottes".
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2004 Domaine Comte de Vogüé Musigny Grand Cru Vieilles Vignes (95ST, 92BH). Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "Good deep red. Ineffable aromas of raspberry, crushed stone and flowers. Like liquid silk on entry, then quite tightly wound in the middle, offering great purity and nerve but hiding more than it's showing in the way of flavor today. This has a nearly frightful intensity and superb stony persistence. Due to hail in late August, the yield here was just 20 hectoliters per hectare, compared to 25 in 2005, according to Millet. A highlight of the vintage. When I asked Millet to compare his 2004s to his 2001s, he told me that the acidity in the spine of the 2004s is barely tasteable, as the minerality of the wine dominates. 'In comparison, the 2001s are gaining in sensuality and elegance,' he said. 'But their fresh fruit flavors are still fighting their acidity.' (ST) 95+" (04/2007)
Bid on this bottle of 2005 Domaine Alain Hudelot-Noellat Chambolle-Musigny 1er Cru "Les Charmes" ((88-91BH), 91JG, (89-91VN)). Vinous: "Good full red. Musky raspberry, peony and blood orange aromas. Juicy, stylish and precise, with pure red berry, floral and mineral flavors. Not a fleshy wine but lively and persistent. (ST)" (03/2007)
