Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 1997 Elderton Shiraz Barossa Valley South Australia (93RP, 92WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 1997 Shiraz performed splendidly. This opaque purple-colored wine offers up plenty of sweet blackberry and cassis fruit with a touch of overripe cherries, smoke, and charcoal. This multidimensional, layered, luscious, low acid, toasty Shiraz is made in an obvious, fat, hedonistic style. (RP)" (02/2000)
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2004 Greenock Creek "Alices" Shiraz Barossa Valley South Australia (98RP, 95WE). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2004 Shiraz “Alice’s Block” received the same 28 months in used American oak. The riveting nose of smoke, asphalt, earth, truffle, blackberry, and blueberry roars from the glass. Dense, packed, and opulent, it somehow is able to concurrently exhibit finesse and elegance. Amazingly pure and long in the finish, one’s first reaction is that it cannot get any better. Remarkably, it does. " (10/2007)
Bid on this bottle of 2004 Torbreck "Descendant" Shiraz-Viognier Barossa Valley South Australia (98RP, 96JH, 93ST, 93WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2004 Descendant, an old oak-aged blend of 92% Shiraz and 8% Viognier from a 12-year old vineyard, offers up notes of blackberries, ink, sweet truffles, and acacia flowers. There are 1,000 cases of this full-bodied, intense, rich blockbuster. (RP)" (10/2006)
