Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 1997 Elderton Shiraz Barossa Valley South Australia (93RP, 92WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 1997 Shiraz performed splendidly. This opaque purple-colored wine offers up plenty of sweet blackberry and cassis fruit with a touch of overripe cherries, smoke, and charcoal. This multidimensional, layered, luscious, low acid, toasty Shiraz is made in an obvious, fat, hedonistic style. (RP)" (02/2000)
Starting Bid: $50.00

Bid on this 375 ml 1-bottle lot of 2015 Domaine Frédéric Esmonin Gevrey-Chambertin 1er Cru "Estournelles St-Jacques" (375ml) (91BH, 91VN). Vinous: "Bright medium ruby. An essence of crushed blackberry on the extremely primary, slightly reduced nose, with a violet element providing lift. Reticent and tightly wound but penetrating; less sweet and even stonier than the Lavaux Saint-Jacques. This uncompromisingly dry, mineral-driven wine finishes with lovely lingering perfume but will need patience. 91+ (ST)" (01/2017)
Starting Bid: $40.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2012 Wattle Creek Alexander Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (92RP). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon Vintage Select is another gorgeous Cabernet Sauvignon from Alexander Valley. With supple, sweet tannins, loads of blueberry, blackberry and cassis, a full-bodied mouthfeel, much sweeter tannin than in Wattle Creek’s other Cabernet Sauvignons, a multi-layered, full-bodied texture and length, the purity, richness and intellectual appeal are all there. (RP)" (03/2016)
Starting Bid: $40.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 1997 Teófilo Reyes Ribera del Duero. Wine Spectator: "Alluring mineral, dark fruit and tobacco aromas give way to more subdued but still harmonious flavors of plums and herbs, with enough acidity to keep it lively. (JS)" (04/2000)
Starting Bid: $50.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 1985 & 1999 California Red Tasting Lot, including 1-bottle of 1985 Carmenet Sonoma Valley Bordeaux Blend and 1-bottle of 1999 Fife "Max Cuvée" Napa Valley Red Blend . Of the 1985 Carmenet Sonoma Valley Bordeaux Blend,The original Carmenet winery was literally dynamited into the rocks of the Mayacamas mountains, above Sonoma Valley, and was a much-watched brand in the 1980s and 1990s. Later known as Moon Mountain, the site is now Repris, while the brand name has long passed out of the hands of the former Chalone Wine Group. Sonoma wine history in a bottle!
Starting Bid: $50.00

Bid on this bottle of 1994 Zind-Humbrecht Herrenweg de Turckheim Gewürztraminer Alsace (97RP). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Made from a vineyard planted in 1946, the light golden-colored, dry 1994 Gewurztraminer Herrenweg Turckheim achieved 15.1% alcohol naturally. More backward than some of the other Gewurztraminers, this is a wine with a peppery, spicy, floral, lychee nut-scented nose, great ripeness and fruit, full body, amazing length, and superb purity without any of the funky Gewurztraminer characteristics that can develop when this degree of ripeness is achieved. (RP)" (06/1996)
Starting Bid: $47.88

Bid on this bottle of 2010 La Dominique, St-Emilion (94JS, (92-94WE), 94WS, 93RP, 90ST). Wine Enthusiast: "Ripe, juicy aromas, a wine that then offers sweet fruit, great flavors, a ripe wine with blackberry flavors and balanced tannins. " (06/2011)

Bid on this half-bottle of 2003 Alvear Pedro Ximénez de Añada Montilla-Moriles (375ml) (94RP, 91WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "A super value, the fruit for the 2003 Pedro Ximenez de Anada was dried in the sun before being fermented. A medium amber color is found in this sweet, unctuous effort offering abundant amounts of nut-like, caramel, and toffee flavors as well as full body and a tremendous finish. It is a sensational after-dinner sherry. (RP)" (06/2005)
Starting Bid: $40.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2010 Ribbon Hills "Straight Line" Pinot Noir Central Otago. The Ribbon Hills 'Straight Line' Pinot Noir is a quintessential example of why Central Otago is one of the most exciting and dynamic New World Pinot Noir growing regions today. The wines from here tend to exhibit an utterly beguiling combination of vibrant, racy fruit and savory spiciness that is completely unique. The 2010 Straight Line shows a distinctly red fruit profile with the intensity of a Russian River Pinot but also with more vivacity and energy, while the secondary notes hint at a Vosne-Romanée-esque range of sappy spice. The tannins are pure Central Otago, and a full decade of age behind them, they have mellowed and melded into a rather seamless structural background.
Starting Bid: $30.00

Bid on this bottle of 2015 Maybach "Eterium" Sonoma Coast Chardonnay (92WS). Wine Spectator: "A spirited expression of pure, zesty Chardonnay, with a tasty mix of light spicy oak, pure apple, pear, citrus and melon flavors, all well-proportioned and lingering on the finish. (JL, Web-2017)"
Starting Bid: $50.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2005 Meadowlark Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon-Syrah.
Starting Bid: $40.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 1988 Terrabianca "Vigna Della Croce" Chanti Classico Riserva (92RP). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 1988 Chianti Reserva Croce reveals a saturated, opaque garnet/purple color, a huge nose of roasted hazelnuts, cedar, cassis, and truffles, and full body. The wine is wonderfully rich, expansive, and almost sweet because of the fruit's richness of fruit. (RP)" (10/1994)
Starting Bid: $30.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 1997 & 2005 Condado de Haza Ribera del Duero Tasting Lot, including 1-bottle of 1997 Condado de Haza Ribera del Duero and 1-bottle of 2005 Condado de Haza Ribera del Duero (93WS, 92ST, 90RP). Of the 2005 Condado de Haza Ribera del Duero,Wine Spectator writes: "This red packs a lot of flavor on a supple frame. Black cherry, blackberry, smoke, mineral and espresso notes show focus and depth, backed by firm but well-integrated tannins that dissolve on a finely etched, floral-scented finish. *Highly Recommended, Top 100 Wines of 2008*" (10/2008)
Starting Bid: $44.00

Bid on this bottle of 1997 Merryvale "Reserve" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon. Wine Enthusiast: "Rich, dense and cool, with an overt menthol streak. The fat, tangy fruit has a cedar edge and also a pronounced piercing quality. Round, voluminous, tannic and in general quite big. Now the wood is a bit heavy-handed. A year or two on its side should help it along." (11/2000)
Starting Bid: $42.88

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2004 Robert Foley Napa Valley Charbono (91WE, 90RP, 90WS). Wine Enthusiast: "Bob Foley has championed this heirloom variety, which so many others long ago abandoned. The wine shows an old-fashioned ruggedness and the kind of in-your-face tannins and grapeskin astringency you don’t see much anymore. Yet it’s massively fruity and will age well. *Cellar Selection* " (12/2006)
Starting Bid: $50.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2009 Terra Valentine "Estate" Spring Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon (92WE, 91WS). Wine Enthusiast: "So ripe, you can taste the sun bursting through the blackberry flavor. Firm, refined tannins, good acidity and a grounding minerality provide complex structure to this intensely concentrated mountain wine." (07/2012)
Starting Bid: $50.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2005-2006 South Australia Tasting Lot, including 1-bottle of 2005 Mollydooker "The Maitre D" Cabernet Sauvignon South Australia (92RP) and 1-bottle of 2006 Mitolo "Reiver" Shiraz Barossa Valley South Australia (95JH, 94RP, 90WE, 90WS). Of the 2006 Mitolo "Reiver" Shiraz Barossa Valley South Australia,James Halliday writes: "A muscular wine, of great depth and power; the secret here is the delicacy of the oak handling for the fruit; the dark fruits are matched by red ones, and the core is intense and chewy, very long and surprisingly supple." (07/2008)
Starting Bid: $50.00

Bid on this bottle of 2000 Domaine du Caillou "Les Quartz" Châteauneuf-du-Pape (95WS, 94RP, 93VN). Wine Spectator: "Thanks to its beautiful polish this manages to beguile despite a powerful core of raspberry ganache, sweet toast, mineral, violet, mocha, tobacco and aged fruitcake. Long, juicy finish resonates with pure, dark, vivid fruit. Beautiful. (JM, Web-2004)"
Starting Bid: $45.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2014 Varner "Los Alamos Vineyard" Santa Barbara County Pinot Noir. Vinous: "Crushed flowers, sweet tobacco, dried cherries and mint are some of the notes that lift from the 2014 Pinot Noir Los Alamos Vineyard. Distinctly savory and aromatic, the Pinot is a very pretty wine. Ideally, it might have a bit more mid-palate richness to fill out its frame, but nevertheless, this is a strong debut from the Varner brothers. And the price? A steal in the realm of handmade wines. (AG)" (07/2016)
Starting Bid: $30.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2013 RPM Wines El Dorado Gamay Noir (93VN). Vinous: "Rose petals, mint, savory herbs and punchy red fruit jump from the glass in RPM's 2013 Gamay Noir. Racy and exuberant, with gorgeous fruit, the 2013 hits all the right notes. As always, the Gamay Noir is floral, lifted and savory, with pulsating acidity that helps make it a fabulous wine for the table. (AG)" (01/2015)
Starting Bid: $40.00

Bid on this 5-bottle lot of 2010 Espelt "Vieilles Vignes" Garnacha Emporda (92RP). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "A magnificent custom cuvee for Eric Solomon, this 2010 was made from high-elevation vineyards in the Costa Brava planted in granite. It was fashioned by the brilliant Jean-Marc Lafage, whose wines are reviewed elsewhere in this article. Composed of 100% Grenache aged 3 months in new French oak, it reveals copious aromas of raspberry jam, black currants, kirsch, flowers and forest floor, full body, terrific fruit, lots of complexity already, and a multidimensional mouthfeel. Drink this stunning red over the next 4-5 years." (06/2012)
Starting Bid: $50.00

Bid on this bottle of 2007 Olivier Hillaire "Les Petits Pieds d'Armand" Châteauneuf-du-Pape (97JD, 96RP, 95WS). Jeb Dunnuck: "Even better, with an almost Rayas like perfume of kirsch liqueur, melted licorice, roasted garrigue, sweet spice, and hot, rolled stone-like aromas, the absolutely dazzling 2007 Domaine Olivier Hillaire Châteauneuf-du-Pape Les Petits Pieds d'Armand is a full-bodied, voluptuously textured, and no holds barred thrill ride of Grenache that could come from nowhere else! A blend of 100%, mostly tank aged Grenache that comes all from La Crau and vines planted in 1899, this sexy, seamless, straight up bombastic Châteauneuf-du-Pape is an utter joy to drink now, yet should age effortlessly for 15-20 years. Given the overall size and profile here, this will not be for everyone, yet to me, it represents what Grenache does best; that being, delivering as much hedonistic and intellectual pleasure as possible, while remaining beautifully balance, elegant and fresh. Hat’s off
Starting Bid: $50.00

Bid on this bottle of 2012 Clos Saint Jean Châteauneuf-du-Pape (92RP, (89-91VN)). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2012 Châteauneuf du Pape is a beautifully Provencal effort that gives up loads of black licorice, savory spice, leather and sweet black cherry aromas and flavors. Medium to full-bodied, elegant and already approachable, it nevertheless has the tannic structure and concentration to evolve for 10-15 years. (JD)" (10/2014)
Starting Bid: $35.00

Bid on this bottle of 2012 DuMol Russian River Valley Syrah ((93-95VN), 94RP, 94WS). Vinous: "The 2012 Syrah presents a compelling range of black fruit, smoke, incense, tobacco, licorice and savory herbs. A rich, powerful wine, the 2012 hits the palate with stunning depth and richness. The style here is a bit riper and more immediate than the single-vineyard Syrahs. There is plenty of personality in the glass. What a gorgeous and promising wine this is. (AG)" (02/2014)
Starting Bid: $40.00

Bid on this bottle of 2010 Crane Family "Reserve" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon. According to the producer's website: "For more than twenty years, Crane Family Vineyards has grown grapes and crafted wine on this hillside, the Don Raffaele Estate, a vineyard nestled on the instep of Napa’s Mount Veeder. The vineyard was named for Ralph Chiarella, the late patriarch of the Chiarella family; and the brand was named for co-founder Frances Crane-Chiarella’s family. The microclimate of our small valley is one of the best kept secrets in the Napa Valley. Its terroir is similar to the well-respected vineyards of the Pomerol region, imparting intense and unique flavors to the grapes grown here. We believe our wines reflect the unique character and intensity of the terroir. It has been our great pleasure over the years to share with our family, friends and patrons, the best wines that we can produce from the land in our stewardship."

Bid on this bottle of 2003 Copain "James Berry Vineyard" Paso Robles Syrah (96RP, 91ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "An astonishing effort, the 2003 Syrah James Berry Vineyard (the home vineyard of Saxum planted on fractured limestone soils) possesses a dense purple color as well as an extraordinary nose of incense, Asian spices, black tea, blackberries, and cassis. The soaring aromas are followed by staggeringly majestic, full-bodied, multilayered, and enormously well-endowed flavors. (RP)" (12/2005)
Starting Bid: $40.00

Bid on this 4-bottle lot of Assorted Rhone Tasting Lot, including 1-bottle of 1989 Chateau d'Aydie Madiran, 2-bottles of 1994 Domaine d'Andezon Côtes-du-Rhône (90RP), and 1-bottle of 1998 Gres Saint-Paul "Antonin" Coteaux du Languedoc. Of the 1994 Domaine d'Andezon Côtes-du-Rhône,Robert Parker's Wine Advocate writes: "Readers familiar with the sensational Cotes du Rhones of the Domaine Gramenon will be pleased to know that importer Eric Solomon has found another estate making wines comparable to Gramenon's. This producer formerly sold all of his Syrah cuvees to Marcel Guigal, which were then blended into Guigal's wines. One-thousand four-hundred (1,400) cases were made of this knock-out, 100% Syrah cuvee made from 60-year old vines. It reveals a saturated ruby/purple color, a huge, peppery, cassis-scented nose with aromas referred to in Provence as the smell of garrigue - an herb, earth, and brush combination that is slightly different from the smell of herbs de Provence. Rich and full

Of the 2006 Walter Hansel "Estate" Russian River Chardonnay,Robert Parker's Wine Advocate writes: "The 2006 Chardonnay Walter Hansel Vineyard is a fleshier, more opulent, tropical fruit-scented wine than any of the 2005s. It offers more up-front fruit and seems to be a quicker-term drinker than any of the Chardonnays from the preceding vintage. It is a fleshy, fruit-dominated beauty. A terrific source of sensational Pinot Noirs and Chardonnays made very much in the style of the wines proprietor Stephen Hansel loves the most, white and red Burgundies, this 80-acre estate continues to build on a brilliant track record of high quality wines offered to consumers at sensationally fair prices.
