Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2013 Opus One Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (OWC - 100JS, 97RP, 97VN, 92WS) in original wood. James Suckling: "The greatest Opus ever. Terrific aromas of crushed black currants, blueberries and flowers with hints of sweet tobacco. Roses continue to exude opulence and class. Full body, superb balance of ultra-fine tannins and vibrant acidity. Complex aftertaste of black fruits and citrus fruit. Extremely persistent. So approachable now and enjoyable. But will be even better in 2019 and beyond. 79% Cabernet Sauvignon, 7% Cabernet Franc, 6% Merlot, 6% Petit Verdot, 2% Malbec. This will always be beautiful to drink." (09/2016)

Wine Spectator: "Mind-blowing aromas of crushed berries, meat, blackberry and violets. Full-bodied, with layers of incredibly velvety tannins and a long, long finish. It is so complex and long. Spellbinding mouthfeel. The wine develops wonderfully in the glass, becoming more and more rich with air. This is one of the greatest Brunellos I have ever tasted. 2014 Kosta Browne "One Sixteen" Russian River Valley Chardonnay
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2014 Kosta Browne "One Sixteen" Russian River Valley Chardonnay (94RP, 90WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Mostly barrel-fermented (a small portion was done in concrete eggs) and aged in 40% new French oak, the 2014 Chardonnay One Sixteen is a multi-vineyard blend that's mostly from the Russian River Valley. It's a screaming good effort that has rich, layered notes of roasted apples, buttered citrus, hazelnuts and brioche. Rich, yet also vibrant, pure and racy, with bright acidity, it needs short term cellaring to come together and will drink well for over a decade. (JD)" (09/2016)

Bid on this 4-bottle lot of 2006 Domaine Paul Pernot Puligny-Montrachet 1er Cru "Les Pucelles" (91JG, 90ST). John Gilman: "The 2006 Pucelles is the most classically balanced premier cru in the Pernot portfolio in this vintage, as the wine offers up a lovely and pure nose of white peach, lemon peel, sweet cream, chalk, spring flowers and vanillin oak. On the palate the wine is full-bodied and shows a nice touch of reserve on the attack, with good mid-palate depth, bright acids and lovely length and grip on the complex and zesty finish. A very fine effort for this vintage." (03/2008)

Latest rosé release from iconoclast Central Coast vintner and Wine Advocate favorite Manfred Krankl is no little chicken...get this Grenache blend, at a not unusual 15.9% abv, while it's hot! Recent accolades from Wine Advocate's Jeb Dunnuck: "There are few greater success stories in wine than that of Sine Qua Non’s Manfred Krankl. Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 1998 Screaming Eagle Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (OWC - 94RP, 92WS, 91ST) in original wood. Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 1998 Cabernet Sauvignon, which was bottled in late June, has turned out even better that I thought last year. It boasts a saturated ruby/purple color in addition to an expressive bouquet of cassis, minerals, and smoke. This multi-textured, round wine exhibits sweet, well-integrated tannin, a great mid-palate and finish, as well as spectacular purity and palate presence. (RP)" (12/2000)

1970 Haut-Brion, Graves
Bid on this bottle of 1970 Haut-Brion, Graves (92RP, 90WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 1970 Château Haut-Brion is a First Growth that has probably been over-shadowed by the Latour 1970 during its lifetime. However, this bottle proves that it is not to be underestimated; it highlights the glaring gap that exists between itself and another First Growth, the 1970 Château Margaux that I tasted alongside. There is plenty of vigor on the nose with dashing red berry fruit, cedar and black olive - just very Haut-Brion.The palate is medium-bodied, well balanced and fresh, nothing over-ambitious, just a Claret in the traditional sense of the word that gently builds towards a sous-bois dominated finish. This is an excellent showing, stout and a little austere, and you could argue an Haut-Brion with its peak in its wing-mirrors. Yet good bottles such as this will continue to offer pleasure for another decade. (NM)" (07/2016)

1985 E. Guigal Cote Rotie La Mouline
Bid on this bottle of 1985 E. Guigal Cote Rotie La Mouline (100RP, 97VN, 97WS, 96ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "One of the all-time great La Moulines, this still youthful and unevolved wine does not have the tannic ferocity of the 1988, or the sheer force and intensity of the 1978, 1976, and 1969, but it represents the epitome of this single-vineyard wine. Everything fits perfectly in this full-bodied, black/purple-colored wine that reveals no garnet or amber at the edge of its color. The nose offers up a formidable array of overripe black raspberries and cherries intertwined with scents of cedar, chocolate, olives, and toast. Extremely full-bodied, with an unctuosity and opulence that must be tasted to be believed, this velvety-textured wine's finish lasts for over a minute. It is one of the most concentrated but profoundly endowed and well-balanced wines I have ever tasted. Like so many of the wines Guigal has produced from this vineyard, no matter how hard one tries to articul

1969 Heitz "Lot C-91" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this bottle of 1969 Heitz "Lot C-91" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon. John Gilman explains this unusual bottling: "Inquiries with the Heitz family revealed that the 'Lot C-91' bottling may well be the best-kept secret for great old Napa Cabernet from these early years at the winery. Back at this time, when the winery was still small and just getting established, the Heitz family would sell their new release of the 'Napa' bottling of Cabernet while the Martha’s Vineyard bottling still had many more months (or even years) of barrel aging still to go. Occasionally, the winery would begin to run out of the Napa bottling while the Martha’s Vineyard was still in cask, and with no older stocks to fall back upon, some of the barrels of Martha’s would find their way into an earlier bottling in combination with any remaining Napa, and which would be designated as 'Lot C-91.' Based on the brilliant showing of this wine in 1969, I have to assume that the vast majority of the blend was made u

1967 Lafite-Rothschild, Pauillac (375ml)
Bid on this 375 ml 1-bottle lot of 1967 Lafite-Rothschild, Pauillac (375ml). Clive Coates: "Medium mature colour. No undue age. Soft, mature - but by no means aged nose. Still elegant: very subtle. I prefer this to the 1970. It has more style. Now very soft, and never very intense or concentrated. but balanced. Fresh and round and most enjoyable. Good fruit. Good complexity. Still most attractive. Full of interest. Tasted 1992." (Grand Vins, The Finest Châteaux of Bordeaux and their Wines, pg. 52)

In a vintage that was challenging for many California Chardonnay producers, the Three Sisters and the 2006 Marcassin Estate Chardonnays stand out as candidates for 'wines of the vintage'. Opulent and rich, with full body, and well-integrated sweet tannin, this expansive yet graceful wine possesses layers of flavor that caress the palate. The wine is accessible, yet still youthful and unformed. It should drink well for 20+ years. Dazzling wines! There is relatively fine detail to the intense and broad-shouldered middle weight plus flavors that culminate in a seductive yet well-delineated, focused and beautifully well-balanced finish that is at once citrusy, agreeably dry and ever-so-mildly austere. Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2005 Pride Mountain "Reserve" Sonoma-Napa Counties Cabernet Sauvignon (96RP, 95VN, 94WE, 93WS, 92CG). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Almost as impressive is the 2005 Cabernet Reserve, a blend of 95.5% Cabernet Sauvignon and 4.5 % Petit Verdot, in this case sourced 58% from Sonoma County and 42% from Napa. Its 14.5% alcohol is slightly lower than its sibling’s. This full-bodied wine is very concentrated, with a saturated bluish/purple color and a classic nose of mocha and espresso intermixed with crème de cassis and charcoal. 2001 Screaming Eagle Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (OWC)
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2001 Screaming Eagle Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (OWC - 99RP) in original wood. Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Only 450 cases were made of this blend of 88% Cabernet Sauvignon, 10% Merlot and 2% Cabernet Franc from former proprietor Jean Phillips’ vineyards just south of the Oakville crossroads. The spectacular dense blue/purple color remains opaque. The wine displays the hallmark creme de cassis, floral and licorice notes that are so pure, vivid and intense, and which have always been part of this vineyard’s classic trademark. With great purity, a full-bodied mouthfeel and even more thickness, power and density than I remember, this wine has put on weight, developed more structure, and looks like a candidate for 30 more years of aging potential. This is a brilliant wine, much in keeping with the legendary status of this producer. (RP)" (06/2011)

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2001 Domaine Marquis d'Angerville Volnay 1er Cru "Clos des Ducs" (91JG, 91VN). Vinous: "Medium red; not brown but not especially saturated. Wonderfully complex, evolving Burgundy nose combines still-fresh dark berry and cherry aromas with musky soil tones and spices. Then silky and sweet, even a bit decadent, on the palate, displaying a very fine-grained texture and captivating inner-mouth floral and spicy lift. Not a big or particularly sweet wine but nicely balanced and evolving gracefully. Finishes with firm, well-integrated tannins and acidity and lovely lingering perfume. (ST)" (04/2017)

Bid on this magnum of 2013 Scarecrow Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (1.5L) (OWC - 100RP, 97VN, 95WS) in original wood. Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The prodigious 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon Estate is 100% Cabernet Sauvignon, including fruit from some of the oldest Cabernet vines still in existence in Napa. This full-bodied classic displays notes of forest floor, earth, crème de cassis, blackberry liqueur, licorice and some pen ink. It is dense, full-bodied, prodigiously rich, massive in intensity, yet relatively light on its feet. This great ballerina of a wine has extraordinary ripeness but pulls back from the edge before going over the top. There are 1,000 cases of this classic, which should age effortlessly for 30+ years. 2014 Alpha Omega "Era" Napa Valley Proprietary Red
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2014 Alpha Omega "Era" Napa Valley Proprietary Red (95JS, 95RP, 93WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2014 ERA, which is put in a special, heavy glass bottle, is a beauty. Opulent, with a voluptuous texture and an opaque purple color, with notes of pen ink, graphite, blackberry and blueberry, this is a big, deep, structured and intense wine that comes across atypically tannic and backward for a 2014 – it tastes more like what one expects of the massive 2013s. Nonetheless, it is an impressive wine and I’m sure that in 4 to 5 years, any purchaser will be thrilled with what is present in the bottle. 95+ (RP)" (10/2016)

The 2009 Segassia is one of the better wines of the vintage at Hall. A long, expressive finish and a compelling sense of overall balance distinguish the Segassia in this lineup. 2013 Hall Stags Leap District Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2013 Hall Stags Leap District Cabernet Sauvignon ((94-96RP), 96WE, 93VN, 93WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Two cuvées I didn’t taste in 2012 include the 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon Stag’s Leap – a wine that tastes like Château Margaux on steroids. It is flowery, beautifully elegant, but very concentrated, with sweet, sweet fruit, ripe tannin and a long, long finish. This is finesse at its most intense, but there’s no doubting its graciousness and overall harmony. Kathryn Hall’s winery is certainly one of the more dramatic as well as up-and-coming superstars of Napa Valley. It seems every effort is made to propel these wines into the very top echelon of quality. There is not a lot to criticize with the multitude of bottlings, all of which offer considerable character and appeal. (RP)" (10/2014)

Jeb Dunnuck: "The 2014 Cabernet Sauvignon Stag's Leap is a charming, sexy and silky wine that shows the forward, polished style of the vintage (and of Stag's Leap) beautifully. Blueberries, blackberries, spring flowers and liquid violets notes all emerge from this full-bodied beauty which is silky, opulent, and weightless on the palate. Drink it anytime over the coming decade or more." (12/2017)

2014 Morlet "La Proportion Dorée" Sonoma County White Blend
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2014 Morlet "La Proportion Dorée" Sonoma County White Blend (100RP, 93VN). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "A perfect wine is the 2014 La Proportion Dorée, a blend of 65% Semillon, 24% Sauvignon Blanc and 1% Muscadelle. This 650-case cuvée is from 29-year-old, dry farmed vines and was barrel-fermented. The wine is absolutely out of this world. With a light greenish gold color and a killer nose of lanolin, caramelized citrus, honeysuckle, orange marmalade and candle wax, the wine displays great acidity, a magnificent, massive, full-bodied mouthfeel, and seems to come across like a Sonoma County version of a dry Haut Brion blanc. This is singular wine - profound, compelling, whatever! It should drink well for at least 10 years, if you can resist its early charms. Drink now through 2026. (RP)" (12/2015)

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2004 Bodegas Numanthia-Termes "Termes" Toro (94RP, 92W&S, 92WS, 91ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2004 Termes received malolactic fermentation in barrel and was aged for 16 months in one-year-old French barriques. Inky purple-colored, it emits a beautiful bouquet of scorched earth, graphite, wild blueberry, and blackberry liqueur. This is followed by a full-bodied, layered, concentrated, intensely flavored wine with exceptional balance and length. The tannins are well concealed by the opulent fruit. (JM)" (02/2007)

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2010 Maybach "Materium" Oakville Cabernet Sauvignon (97RP, 94WS, 93ST, 93VN, 93WE). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2010 Cabernet Sauvignon Materium is a beautiful example of a wine with extraordinary purity and delineation. It possesses copious quantities of charcoal, barbecue smoke, graphite, blackberries, blueberries and creme de cassis. Full-bodied power is clearly on display, but the wine has a purity and balance that are sensational to behold. This classic Cabernet is a superstar of the vintage. (RP)" (10/2013)

1990 Pichon-Baron, Pauillac
Bid on this bottle of 1990 Pichon-Baron, Pauillac (98RP, 94WS, 93ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 1990 Pichon-Longueville Baron has always been one of my benchmark wines, one that never ceases to perform. Now at 27 years of age, it is clearly at its peak, and what a wondrous thing it is. Now showing some bricking on the rim, the bouquet is utterly sublime, with red berries, cedar, touches of graphite, crushed rose petals and incense. You just want to become enveloped by these aromas. The palate is perfectly balanced, perhaps not as structured as it once showed since the tannins have mellowed, but what you get is a Pauillac relishing its secondary phase, which is almost Burgundy-like in terms of mouthfeel. Suffused with tension, it gains weight in the mouth toward the slightly tart finish. It is a Pichon Baron that only knows how to give sophisticated drinking pleasure. I once wrote that Pichon Baron is better than many 1990 First Growth, and that is a statement I have no reason

Bid on this bottle of 2007 Robert Foley Napa Valley Claret (98RP, 93JS, 93ST, 92WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The extraordinary 2007 Claret, which is a Cabernet Sauvignon-based wine, displays inky notes of lead pencil shavings, pen ink, creme de cassis, blackberry, incense, and licorice. The wine is super-pure and super-rich, an extraordinarily full-bodied powerhouse of a Cabernet Sauvignon that should evolve for 15 or more years. Its sweetness of tannin and headiness already make it accessible. (RP)" (12/2009)

Wine Enthusiast: "Starts with tons of rich new oak in the aroma, showing the most inviting notes of cedar, cigar box and pencil lead that segue to the remarkable fruit. The attack is powerful, with a punch of cassis spreading broadly and deeply across the palate. With its sturdy, clean tannins, this beautiful wine displays classic power, elegance and balance. *Cellar Selection*" (11/2005)
