The 4th Farmstock release is an incredible project born of quarantine. 97 points Wine Enthusiast: "This full-bodied blended whisky hits all the right notes, starting with plenty of rich caramel and oak tones on the nose and palate, plus touches of butterscotch, spicy cinnamon and clove. It finishes long, slightly oily and mouthfilling. Sip it straight or add a splash of sweet vermouth. (KN)" (11/2015) 94 points Whisky Advocate: "Corby’s latest Lot 40, this one undated, comes from the same distillation batch as the 2012 release, but with a couple of extra years in wood. The familiar flavors are all there: dustiness, sour r...

93 points Wine Enthusiast: "A honey hue and rich vanilla aroma mark this six-year-old rye whiskey. The palate nods to its 100% rye grain mash bill, opening with brisk cinnamon and allspice sparks that round into mellower vanilla and caramel midpalate, finishing long and spiced. Adding water brings more vanilla to the fore and adds a toasted grain note to the finish. (KN)" (09/2019)

Top Pick!
WhistlePig offers one of the most extensive rye barrel programs in the country and with some of the very best whiskey available it has won award after award for its innovatin. The newest addition to the barrel lineup is the 15 Year Vermont Estate Oak Finished. Vermont oak trees from the WhistlePig farm in Shoreham, VT are harvested and made into custom barrels for finishing. The growing season in Vermont is short and this results in an incredibly tight grained wood (more rings in each stave). The already ancient 15 year old whiskey spends an additional ...

Whistle Pig 10 Year Old Straight Rye Whiskey (750ml)
Top Pick!
96 points Wine Enthusiast: "First, a warning: this is only for those who like their rye big and brawny. It starts off innocuously with a maple-syrup color, and a pretty, complex and subtle scent: honey, vanilla, a slight medicinal tinge and faint clover notes. It feels silky on the tongue and at first, the flavors reflect caramel, burnt orange and a whisper of smoke, but then a mouth-warming wave of tannic bite sweeps over all and lingers for a good long time. Straight up or on the rocks. (KN)" (11/2010) Whisky Advocate: "Imported from Canada (which s...

The Rare Perfection whiskies are just that — exceedingly rare and just about as perfect as whisky gets. The careful selection for this brand is unmatched in the industry. Nationality doesn't apply — if it's a true rarity and the whiskey is great, it can be bottled. You know the palates making these choices are good, since it's brought to you by the folks at Preservation Distillery in Bardstown — the same people responsible for bottlings Very Olde St. Nick and Wattie Boone. This current release of Rare Perfection is a story of relationships and serendipit...

Top Pick!
According to the distillery, the 7th edition of Whistle Pig's premier Boss Hog rye is: "Inspired by the first recorded circumnavigation of the globe ... After seventeen years of slumber in American Oak, it first encounters new Spanish staves from the mountainous forests of northern Spain; a cask nearly impossible to tame yet well worth the effort. 95 points Whisky Advocate: "The third in the Chronicles series offers a slightly closed nose that soon shows high esters, cinnamon, and eggnog, while hints of mint hide among old dry barn boards in a gorgeous, creamy palate. Mild caramels fade into peppery heat, restrained grassy herbs, and pulling tannins. Burley tobacco leaves replace Canadian Club’s signature dark fruits. Finishes long, hot, and vaguely dry." K&L Notes: Canadian Club's newest release makes it the oldest Canadian whiskey available on the market. Don't miss "The Speakeasy," #3 in the C...

J.P. Wiser's 15 Year Old Canadian Whiskey (750ml)
New!
A staple in many a bar, the 15 year Wiser's is patiently aged in ex-bourbon barrels until it reaches perfection. Ironically, Canadian whisky hasn't really received a fair shake from the modern Bourbon enthusiast despite offering many of the qualities they appear to be looking for. While American whiskies continue to skyrocket in price trading off of Bourbon's high demand, the Northern border equivalent is still available for amazingly fair prices and often tastes much better. After all - they've been perfectnig this style of whisky making for hundreds of...

96 points Whisky Advocate: "The Chronicles collection debuted two years ago with the release of the 40 year old. This, the third annual release, incorporates a smidgen of younger rye and a dash of brandy. The nose and palate are deep and complex. Fruity and floral on the nose, with hints of raisin tarts, apple skins, and apricots. A sweet fruitiness, with mild peppers, baking spices, and a crisp, vaguely tannic backbone. Extended fruity, glowing finish. (DK, Fall 2019)" K&L Notes: This second issue of Canadian Club Chronicles pays tribute to the dock me...
