93 points Vinous: "The 2018 Sauvignon Blanc McGinley Vineyard is rich, textured and incredibly inviting. In many vintages, the McGinley Sauvignon is a bit edgy, but the 2018 is all about palate resonance and breadth. Dried pear, mint, chamomile and dried flowers all open up effortlessly. Although the 2018 is not especially varietal (at times it is more Chenin-like), it sure is beautiful. This is a gorgeous expression of Happy Canyon, on the eastern edge of the Santa Ynez Valley. Poor soils on this site naturally yield small crops. (AG)" (08/2020) 92 po...

Winery notes: Inaugural vintage of the new venture by Jeff Nelson, James Sparks, and Brian Evans. Barrel-aged for 10 months with batonage throughout. Notes of preserved lemon, wet stone, and fresh thyme leap out of the glass. Soft and round, but with the racy acid profile one should expect from this varietal and producer.

93 points Vinous: "The 2019 Sauvignon Blanc Sybarite opens with a rush of citrus, floral and tomato leaf aromatics that lead into beautifully sculpted orchard fruit flavors. Here, too, Doug Margerum balances vivacity with depth. The Sybarite offers plenty of Sauvignon aromatics without veering into the green/grassy end of the spectrum. (AG)" (08/2020) 92 points Wine Enthusiast: "Very light in the glass, this always reliable white wine starts with aromas of pear soda, red apple and slightly tropical white and green flowers. The texture is taut and dry,...

Winemaker's Notes: "One of the most coastal vineyards in the AVA, Presqu’ile takes meticulous care of their vines. As one of the closer Sauvignon Blanc plantings in Santa Barbara to the Pacific, it’s always loaded with acid and vibrant aromatics. Lean, citric and herbal-and in 2018, some tropicality from the long hang time in this cold vintage. It’s not your typical California Sauvignon Blanc. There are two goals with Metrick. First, to make fresh and elegant wines that represent their vineyard origins. Second, to test techniques and theories on ho...

Winemaker's Notes: "Fermented and aged in 100% Concrete, the 2018 Sauvignon Blanc is a unique iteration of Calfornia Sauvy with an old world twist. This wine reminds me of roadside fruit stands in Georgia in July; sweet aromas of yellow peaches and lime. Bright flavors of pink grapefruit with a little bit of under ripe cantaloupe, and the briny taste of oceanside air. "

90 points Vinous: "The 2018 Sauvignon Blanc is a very pretty wine that offers a striking balance of varietal character, with an extra kick of body that is super-appealing. A blend of sites in Ballard Canyon, Los Olivos and Happy Canyon, along with some musque clone, yields a distinctive and delicious Sauvignon Blanc with plenty of layers to its citrus, floral and sage flavors. Drink through 2023. (AG)" (09/2019) K&L Notes: *Biodynamic*

90 points Vinous: "Lieu Dit's 2018 Sauvignon Blanc is done in a bright style that emphasizes the greener, grassier side of Sauvignon. I would prefer to drink this delicious, refreshing Sauvignon over the next 2-3 years. Drink through 2022. (AG)" (09/2019)

Winemaker's Notes: "The Coquelicot Vineyard is certified organically farmed just outside of Solvang in San Ynez Valley. This site was planted in the mid 1990s on gravely riverbed soils. The grapes were foot tread and soaked on skins for 24 hours before being whole bunch pressed. The juice is fermented in neutral french oak barrels with native yeast and aged on lees for 8 months before it's first racking to bottle, unfined and filtered. Think margarita tones - sea salt, lemon & lime, green pineapple wedge."

91 points Wine Enthusiast: "Bright and fresh aroma of white flowers are tinged with hints of green grass and light herbs on the nose of this concrete-aged bottling. There is a lot of zip to the sip, where dried lime-peel and grass flavors align. (MK)" (01/2020) 91 points Wine Spectator: "The pineapple and lime flavors show intensity and juiciness at the core, with accents of lemongrass and fresh ginger on a succulent frame. Drink now. 240 cases made. (MW)" K&L Notes: Winemaker's Notes: "Fermented and aged in 100% Concrete, the 2018 Sauvignon Blanc is ...

Vinous: "Fred Brander's 2019 Sauvignon Blanc (Los Olivos District) is bright, perfumed and crisp, all of which make it an excellent choice for drinking now and over the next few years. Lemon confit, mint, white flowers and sage linger nicely on the soft, open-knit finish. (AG)" (08/2020)

Vinous: "The 2018 Sauvignon Blanc (Los Olivos District) is soft and fruity, with lovely varietal character in its citrus, floral and sage flavors. Aging predominantly in steel keeps the flavors bright. Drink the 2018 over the next few years. (AG)" (09/2019) K&L Notes: From the winery: "The 42nd vintage of our Flagship Sauvignon blanc, this wine is comprised of juice from 50% estate grown fruit, 40% Mesa Verde Vineyard, and the rest from surrounding vineyards in the Los Olivos District. During harvest, grapes are picked at different levels of ripeness r...
