94 points Vinous: "The 2016 Pinot Noir Sawyer Lindquist Vineyard is silky, open-knit and absolutely delicious. Crushed flowers, cedar, tobacco and leather notes give the 2016 striking earthy undertones to play off the dark red/purplish berry fruit. The 50% whole clusters are not especially evident in this fleshy, wonderfully inviting Pinot Noir from Louisa Sawyer and Bob Lindquist. (AG)" (09/2019) 92 points Jeb Dunnuck: "The 2016 Pinot Noir comes from the estate Sawyer Lindquist Vineyard in the Edna Valley. It has a great bouquet of ripe red and black ...
94 points Wine Enthusiast: "Hints of honeydew, Asian pear flesh and sea salt show on the nose of this bottling by Sam Smith, whose personal wine project explores the whole Central Coast. There's Meyer lemon, pear galette, cinnamon and light clove on the palate, with a slight coconut finish. (MK)" (08/2020) 92 points Vinous: "Light, glistening yellow. Ripe citrus and orchard fruits on the fragrant nose, along with hints of jasmine, vanilla and dusty minerals. Fleshy and focused on the palate, offering juicy pear, Meyer lemon and pineapple flavors suppor...
93 points John Gilman: "The 2016 Momtazi Vineyard bottling of pinot noir from Day Wines is the ripest of these 2016s, as it comes in at fourteen percent octane. It is beautifully black fruity on the nose (as all the examples from Momtazi have been that I have been fortunate enough to taste), offering up scents of black plum, sweet dark berry, black tea, balsam bough, a beautiful base of soil tones, chicory, gentle spice tones and a bit of cedar. On the palate the wine is deep, full-bodied, complex and beautifully balanced, with a fine core of fruit, grea...

93 points James Suckling: "Very attractive sliced strawberries and a sappy, leafy edge with forest wood, too. The palate has strawberry and raspberry flavors with a vibrant, smooth delivery of fresh, sustained tannin." (01/2020) 91 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2017 Pinot Meunier offers bright red and black berry fruit on the nose with pleasantly rustic accents of leather, dusty earth and dried herbs. The palate is light-bodied, soft and juicy with earth-laced fruits and a bright, spicy finish. Yum! (EB)" (12/2020)
Winemaker's Notes: "Maresh Vineyard is the fifth oldest vineyard in Oregon, having been planted starting in 1970 by Jim and Loie Maresh. Three generations of Maresh family have lived here and farmed this vineyard sitting high up in the Dundee Hills. These historic old vines are self-rooted, planted on deep volcanic Jory soil and grown organically. Today, Maresh Vineyard is a reference point for Oregon Pinot Noir."

94-96 points Chris Kissack, Winedoctor.com: "This cuvée comes exclusively from 100-year old vines. It begins in a smoky, matchsticky, reductive frame of mind, the fruit profile dominated by mirabelle, peach skin and honeysuckle. A beautiful character here, with evident old-vine concentration, It feels sinewy, substantial, minerally too, fresh with energy and an acid-bright character. Youthful, lifted by retained carbon dioxide, long and tense in the vivacious finish. Fabulous potential." (05/2019)
