The Bitter Truth Creole Bitters (200ml)

(Classified as a spirit. Do not ship to no spirits locations.) Launched in 2006 by two German bartenders, The Bitter Truth brings some classic yesteryear savor to today's cocktails. A spicy add to your next Manhatten, the Creole is "Bitter, sweet and spicy," the producers say. Jade Nouvelle Orleans Absinthe Supérieure (750ml) (Previously $130)

95 points Wine Spectator: "Grab your corkscrew to open a bottle of this absinthe, a tribute to distiller T.A. Breaux's hometown, New Orleans. The light jade liquid louches to cloudy pale green, releasing gentle fennel, rosemary and fresh basil accented with lime zest and white pepper, plus a long, gentle anise finish. Although it's easy-sipping when louched, the undiluted spirit is ideal for prepping a glass to receive a sazerac. (KN)" (03/2015) K&L Notes: As the popularity of absinthe swept through France during the mid-19th century, la fée verte bega ...

House Spirits Krogstad Aquavit Oregon (750ml) (Previously $27)

93 points Wine Enthusiast: "This is big and bold, with plenty of anise, licorice and caraway on the nose and palate, plus hints of fennel, black pepper and cinnamon zing on the spicy, mouthwatering finish. Producer recommends for a “Norwegian Bloody Mary,” with tomato juice, lemon and spices. (KN)" (11/2016) K&L Notes: From Portland, Oregon's House Spirits (the makers of Aviation Gin) comes a delightful, domestic aquavit. This traditional Scandinavian grain spirit is crisp, with the alcohol really taking a backseat to the pure anise and caraway flavors ...

Letterpress Amaro Amorino (750ml) (Previously $40)

The small Letterpress distillery in Washington state is a true grain-to-glass operation. Their Amaro is produced with their 100% local wheat and barley vodka base that is actually distilled in house. The amaro is in the light to medium bitter range of things with a heavy dose of Seville orange peel and baking spices. Think of Amaro Nonino or Amara Amaro and you've got a jumping off point for what to expect. The sweetness is balanced by beautiful earthy and floral notes.
