Bid on this bottle of 2015 Margaux, Margaux (100DC, 100JD, 100JS, 100WE, 99RP, 99VN, 99WS). Wine Enthusiast: "Predominantly Cabernet Sauvignon, this wine shows a wonderful black-currant purity on the palate, along with intense, vibrant acidity. The background is all tannin, which speaks to its aging potential. This wine is the last vintage produced by Paul Pontallier, who was general manager from 1990 until his death in 2016. It's a memorable wine and one for aging. Drink from 2027. *Cellar Selection* (RV)" (04/2018)

Of the 2016 Carter "Beckstoffer Las Piedras Vineyard - La BAM" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon,Robert Parker's Wine Advocate writes: "The very deep purple-black colored 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer Las Piedras Vineyard La Bam comes sashaying out of the glass with provocative chocolate-covered cherries, crème de cassis, dried mulberries and fresh blueberries scents plus hints of potpourri, underbrush, sassafras, cedar chest and tobacco leaf. 1980 Gentaz-Dervieux "Côte Brune - Cuvée Réservée" Côte-Rôtie
Bid on this bottle of 1980 Gentaz-Dervieux "Côte Brune - Cuvée Réservée" Côte-Rôtie (94JG). John Gilman: "Having had the 1980 Côte-Rôtie 'Côte Brune' from Domaine Gentaz-Dervieux on more than a few occasions over the years, I was really delighted to find that the bottles at the Rare Wine Company celebration of Monsieur Gentaz’s life were as pristine as any I had ever tasted. The gorgeous wine soars from the glass in a first class aromatic constellation of red and black raspberries, nutskins, a beautifully complex base of soil, red curry, cocoa powder, celery seed and a gentle topnote of peppercorn. On the palate the wine is pure, full-bodied, complex and absolutely à point, with lovely mid-palate depth, just a whisper of remaining tannin and great length and grip on the focused and perfectly balanced finish. This is the best bottle of the 1980 that I have had the pleasure to taste and this superb wine still has years and years of life still ahead of it. A marvelous wine and a real slee

2008 Quilceda Creek "Galitzine Vineyard" Red Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2008 Quilceda Creek "Galitzine Vineyard" Red Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon (98RP, 95ST, 95WE). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2008 Galitzine Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon contains 1% Merlot. It offers a brooding aromatic array of toasty oak, Asian spices, incense, a hint of sage, violets, and assorted black fruits. More structured than the preceding wines, No doubting it’s Red Mountain say the Golitzins, it has plenty of ripe tannin more than balanced by loads of succulent fruit, exceptional density, richness and power. 2003 Screaming Eagle Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this bottle of 2003 Screaming Eagle Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (98RP, 96WE, 92VN). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "This 2003 was showing spectacularly well, and based on my recollection, I think I may have liked it even more than the 2002, which is the reverse of how I felt a decade ago. One of the biggest (14.6% alcohol) wines made by Screaming Eagle during this period, it boasts an opaque ruby/purple color as well as classic, pure, creme de cassis, cedarwood and hints of Asian soy sauce and forest floor notes. The multidimensional aromatics are followed by a full-bodied, silky-textured, opulent, rich, atypically big wine that is impeccably well-balanced. It is just starting to come into its own. Four to five more years in the cellar will prove magical, and this 2003 is one of the candidates for the wine of the vintage. It should last another 20+ years. (RP)" (06/2013)

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2013 Cayuse "Camaspelo" Walla Walla Valley Bordeaux Blend (94RP, 93VN, 93WE, 93WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Leading off the 2013s, the 332-case 2013 Camaspelo is made from 81% Cabernet Sauvignon and 19% Merlot that was aged all in puncheons. Notes of iron, red and black currants, licorice and lead pencil characteristics emerge from this medium to full-bodied, elegant, complex Bordeaux blend that would pass undetected in a lineup of Pauillacs. Give it 3-4 years of cellaring and drink through 2033. (JD)" (06/2016)

2005 Bond "Vecina" Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend
Bid on this bottle of 2005 Bond "Vecina" Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (98RP, 97VN, 97WE, 95ST, 94WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "2005 Cabernet Sauvignon Vecina is 100% Cabernet Sauvignon, aged in 100% new oak, like the other cuvées. It is from an 11-acre site directly southeast of the Bond Winery, close to Harlan Estate. This wine tends to be the closest to the Harlan Estate in quality, with notes of new saddle leather, blackberry, roasted coffee and a hint of chocolate -- and again -- graphite and subtle smoke. Opaque purple, but still incredibly youthful, the wine is spicy, intense, full-bodied and majestic. There is a deep tone to this massive Cabernet Sauvignon, which is set for another 25 or 30 years of life, although it certainly is accessible at present. (RP)" (06/2015)

This is slightly less concentrated overall but there is good mid-palate sappiness to buffer the medium tannins. (ST)" (01/2007)

2002 Chateau Montelena "Estate" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2002 Chateau Montelena "Estate" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (96JD, 96RP, 93ST, 93WE). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "This appears to be one of the great efforts from Chateau Montelena, something I think I was correct about when I gave it an 'in the bottle' rating in 2006 of 95+. It is still an amazingly young wine that came from old vines on the famous St. George rootstock that did not require replanting because of the phylloxera epidemic that swept through Napa in the late 1980's and 1990's. Despite its lofty 14.4% alcohol (high by Montelena standards) and the overall flamboyance of the 2002 vintage, it needs another 4-6 years of cellaring. This young, classic Cabernet Sauvignon represents the quintessential traditional school of Napa Cabernet Sauvignon. It possesses an inky/blue/purple color in addition to a tight, but promising nose of black currants, crushed rocks, earth and spice. Rich, full-bodied, pure and brilliantly executed, with perfect harmon

Of the 2012 Rhys "Horseshoe Vineyard" Santa Cruz Mountains Pinot Noir,Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar writes: "Ruby-red. Explosively perfumed cherry-cola, dark berry liqueur, incense and mineral aromas show superb clarity and depth, with a sexy floral quality building with air. Offers palate-staining black raspberry and spicecake flavors that become sweeter and deeper with air. This rich but strikingly lithe and tensile pinot deftly plays power and depth off of vivacity and finishes sweet, youthfully tannic and extremely long. 2007 Robert Foley Napa Valley Petite Sirah
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2007 Robert Foley Napa Valley Petite Sirah (95RP, 94ST, 92JS, 92WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The black/purple 2007 Petite Sirah may well be around in 50-60 years, when most of us will be pushing up daisies. In fact, it probably needs to be forgotten for 8-10 years. A massive, pedal-to-the-metal Petite Sirah that looks like pen ink, the wine displays notes of creosote, pepper, spice box, blackberry, and blueberry, with hints of incense and floral undertones. It is dense and almost looks like syrup being poured into a glass. It is obviously not for everybody, as it is certainly a controversial New World wine, but these wines will become more and more civilized as they age, and I wouldn’t be surprised if this one is spoken of with reverence 40-50 years from now. 95+ (RP)" (12/2009)

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2005 Domaine Robert Chevillon Nuits-St-Georges 1er Cru "Cailles" ((92-94BH), (93-94RP), 92JG, 91ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "As if there were not enough stony minerality in the Pruliers, the 2005 Nuits-St.-Georges Les Cailles lives up to its name, tasting as though its fruit had been macerated on cherry pits and pebbles. Its bitter-sweetness extends to notes of vanilla and chocolate that accent a deep black fruit concentration. Vivid, palpable density and old vines creaminess on the palate lead to a richly fruited but not at all superficially sweet, deeply meaty, and decidedly chalk- and stone-inflected finish of amazing refinement and penetration, indeed of Grand Cru length. Of the 2013 Rhys "Alpine Vineyard" Santa Cruz Mountains Pinot Noir,Robert Parker's Wine Advocate writes: "The 2013 Pinot Noir Alpine Vineyard has a touch of darker fruit in its strawberry, cassis, dusty soil and earthy bouquet. This flows to a beautifully textured, seamless Pinot Noir that has sound underlying structure, medium plus-bodied richness and a great finish. Possessing both fruit and structure, it should be accessible for all of its life. (JD)" (10/2015)

Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2005 Domaine Robert Chevillon Nuits-St-Georges 1er Cru "Les Pruliers" ((91-93BH), (92-93RP), (89-92ST)). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The Chevillons’ 2005 Nuits-St.-Georges Les Pruliers offers high-toned aromas of resin and sage, candied black cherry, and road tar. A sappy intensity on the palate incorporates some of the same resinous, fusil notes along with multi-boned meat stock and rich, positively viscous suggestions of black cherry concentrate. This has more obvious structure than its predecessors, yet also more fat and glycerin. Sleek and refined yet also gripping and mineral-inflected in its long finish, this will keep nicely for well more than a decade and should be left alone for at least 5-7 years. (DS)" (04/2007)

In the mouth, it is pure velvet, jammy, berry fruit, and has a long, heady, alcoholic finish. It is a big wine by the standards of 1988, and while I did not see a great deal of tannin in it, the wine's sheer size suggests it will last for up to a decade. (RP)" (12/1989)

Violets, menthol, licorice, plums, cassis, grilled herbs and blueberries all flesh out in the glass. The Mixed Blacks manages to be rich and deep yet also miraculously weightless, all with the support of energetic, vibrant veins of minerality. Simply put, this is a stunning showing. It has been delicious since its release, and it reveals no signs of decline. The color remains an attractive plum/garnet with only slight amber at the edge. Drink it now and over the next 7-8 years. 2012 Marcassin "Marcassin Vineyard" Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2012 Marcassin "Marcassin Vineyard" Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir (97RP). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2012 Pinot Noir Marcassin Vineyard, which comes primarily from the Calera clone (although I suspect there are a few mystery clones in their plantings), always seems to remind me of a grand cru from Burgundy’s Côte de Nuits, particularly Morey-St.-Denis. Dense ruby/plum, its sweet nose of strawberries, black cherry liqueur, fresh porcini mushrooms and forest floor is followed by a dark, full-bodied, rich and concentrated wine that is supple, dramatic, and even flamboyant. Drink it over the next 12-15 years. (RP)" (03/2016)

2010 Caymus "Special Selection" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (OWC)
Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2010 Caymus "Special Selection" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (OWC - 98RP, 96WS, 93VN, 92W&S) in original wood. Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2010 Cabernet Sauvignon Special Selection exhibits an opaque purple color, slightly more toasty oak in the aromatics, and explosive richness on the attack, mid-palate and length. The nose is slightly more restrained than in the regular bottling, but there is no doubting the Special Selection is a cut or two above the Napa bottling when it hits the palate. Extraordinary purity of fruit, creme de cassis, licorice and incense all emerge from this full-bodied, iconic classic. It can be enjoyed now and over the next 25+ years. (RP)" (10/2013)

Bid on this bottle of 2014 Sine Qua Non "Light Motif" Central Coast Proprietary White Blend (97RP, 95JD, 94VN, 90WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Starting with the whites and a rich, thrillingly concentrated and unctuous wine from Manfred, the 2014 White Wine Lightmotif is made from 47% Roussanne, 21% Chardonnay, 14% Petite Manseng, 11% Viognier and 7% Marsanne that spent 19 months in a combination of concrete eggs, new French oak, neutral barrels and a tiny portion in stainless steel. Coming from close to equal parts Eleven Confessions, Cumulus and Bien Nacido vineyards, this beauty sports a medium gold color to go with a rich, layered profile that carries tons of ripe peach, honeycomb, pineapple, flowers and citrus. Pure, elegant and silky on the palate, with full-bodied richness, it never puts a foot wrong, is ethereally textured and has a great finish. Drink it anytime over the coming decade. (JD)" (08/2016)

Vinous: "The 2015 Monte Bello is just as phenomenal in this tasting as it has always been. Explosive and powerful in the glass, with fabulous textural richness, the 2015 has a lot to say. Super-ripe red and purplish berry fruit, rose petal and spice add myriad shades of complexity as this towering Monte Bello shows off its personality and pedigree. Rain during bloom reduced the crop significantly. Moderate temperatures with no heat spikes led to a long, relatively cool growing season. (AG)" (08/2018)

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2004 Rudd "Oakville Estate" Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (96RP, 93ST, 91WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "A sensational proprietary red wine blend from Leslie Rudd, this 2004 is composed of 83% Cabernet Sauvignon, 8% Petit Verdot, 8% Merlot and 1% Cabernet Franc from a top-notch vineyard on the Oakville Crossroads sandwiched between Screaming Eagle and Plumpjack. Flawlessly assembled with not a hard edge to be found, it boasts a dense ruby/purple color, copious notes of graphite and black fruits, sweet tannin, a voluptuous, opulent texture, and terrific purity as well as freshness. This gorgeous, multi-dimensional, full-bodied 2004 is drinkable now, yet has the stuffing and length to last for 15-20 more years. (RP)" (04/2014)

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2008 Domaine Bouchard Père et Fils Le Corton Grand Cru ((92-95BH), 94RP, 93W&S, 92WS, 90ST). Allen Meadows - Burghound: "Relatively generous but not dominant wood intrudes upon the very ripe plum, cassis and floral aromas lead to extremely rich, opulent and palate drenching broad-scaled flavors that possess more dry extract than any wine to this point and possibly in the entire range, all wrapped in a balanced, long and ultra serious finish. Note the suggested drinking window date and I'm not completely convinced that is necessarily long enough. Drink: 2028+. *Don't Miss!*" (04/2010)

2005 Gerard Raphet Gevrey-Chambertin 1er Cru "Lavaux St.-Jaques" Cuvee Unique
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2005 Gerard Raphet Gevrey-Chambertin 1er Cru "Lavaux St.-Jaques" Cuvee Unique (94RP, (91-93BH)). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "From vines planted in the 1920s, Raphet’s 2005 Gevrey-Chambertin Lavaux St.-Jacques – of which there are but three and a half barrels – leads with scents of black raspberry and smoked meats. Rich, yet not at all heavy on the palate, it displays lovely sweetness of primary fruit and inner-mouth perfume suggesting flowers and citrus zest. Here one gets multi-dimensional, layered complexity along with elegance. A long, meat- and mineral-dominated finish ultimately culminates in wisps of smoke and a lick of salt. A substantial share of Raphet’s diverse acreage is in the Clos de Vougeot, all of it situated near the route nationale and nearly all in one large block at the north end of the Clos. The wine is often good but seldom exceptional. (DS)" (06/2007)

Of the 2007 Continuum Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend,Robert Parker's Wine Advocate writes: "A glorious blend of 60% Cabernet Sauvignon, 22% Cabernet Franc and 18% Petit Verdot, it boasts an inky/purple color as well as an extraordinary perfume of blueberries, blackberries, spring flowers and subtle hints of burning embers and earth. Akin to the seamlessness of haute couture from the likes of Chanel, the integration of acidity, tannin, alcohol and wood has been brilliantly accomplished by Mondavi. Of the 2012 Dehlinger "Goldridge" Russian River Valley Pinot Noir,Vinous writes: "The 2012 Pinot Noir Goldridge Vineyard is juicy, exuberant and full of Russian River juiciness. Dark red cherries, spices, cedar and new leather jump from the glass in a succulent, exceptionally beautiful wine full of vintage 2012 radiance. Expressive floral notes add lift to the silky, translucent finish. When I think of the Russian River Valley and its reference-point producers, Dehlinger is always top of mind. Eva Dehlinger is back from a year of studying viticulture in Burgundy. My sense is that she has the ambition to take quality through the roof at her family's winery. The 2012 Pinots are just as exuberant and

1990 Leroy Côte de Beaune-Villages
Bid on this 5-bottle lot of 1990 Leroy Côte de Beaune-Villages. From a fantastic vintage in Burgundy, and a legendary producer. Robert Parker says: "Much has been written about the dynamic Madame Lalou Bize-Leroy. Some of it has been malicious and motivated strictly by insidious jealousy. From time to time I have complained of her pricing structure. Yet there should never be any criticism of her philosophy of what burgundy should be. Her wines are among the noblest and purest expressions of Pinot Noir in Burgundy. They are treated with the care of a pampered child, never filtered, and bottled barrel by barrel."

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2013 Kosta Browne "Giusti Ranch" Russian River Valley Pinot Noir (95RP, 94VN, 92WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "From the Russian River Valley and the newest single vineyard from this team (the first vintage was 2012), the 2013 Pinot Noir Giusti Vineyard is another big, rich, full-flavored Pinot Noir that gives up slightly lifted notes of dark fruits, graphite and peppery spice. Almost completely destemmed and aged 16 months in 40% new French oak, it’s a sensational Pinot Noir with terrific purity in its concentrated, layered and textured personality.
