2016 Domaine Thierry & Pascale Matrot Meursault "Les Chevalières"

88-90 points Vinous: "(just 12 hectoliters per hectare produced from 60+- and 18-year-old vines): Bright yellow. Musky hazelnut reduction to the aromas of peach, wild flowers and herbs. Smoother than the basic village Meursault, with a thickness of texture leavened by a touch of minerality. Still a touch dry on the end. One of the three barrels was new. (ST)" (09/2017) Allen Meadows - Burghound: "Not surprisingly given the percentage of new wood, the oak influence is more prominent if not dominant on the moderately reduced nose. There is more richness ...Read More »

2016 Maison Olivier Leflaive Meursault

93-94 points James Suckling: "The density and richness to this wine is outstanding. Sliced apples, pineapples and straw. Medium- to full-bodied, dense and brightly acidic. Excellent depth. Drink and enjoy on release. " (02/2018) 88-91 points Allen Meadows - Burghound: "Firm reduction masks the fruit. Otherwise the medium-bodied flavors possess a sleek mouth feel with good delineation and energy suffusing the caressing but intense finale that is markedly citrus-inflected. This needs to develop better depth but the underlying material appears to be prese ...Read More »

2016 Domaine Thierry et Pascale Matrot Meursault 1er Cru "Blagny"

89-92 points Vinous: "(no new oak for this and all subsequent '16s except for the Quintessence): Bright, light yellow. Pure, complex nose combines aromas of peach, lemon, flowers and crushed stone. Lovely Meursault richness here, and not at all in a Puligny style, as this cuvée can often be. More open-knit than the Meursault Charmes, showing good stuffing but also good grip, with a lemon drop flavor and a mineral underpinning giving it backbone. Finishes tactile and chewy, with very good energy and lift. (ST)" (09/2017) Jancis Robinson: "Seductively cr ...Read More »

2010 Domaine Comtesse Bernard de Cherisey Meursault-Blagny 1er Cru "La Genelotte" Back In Stock!
2010 Domaine Comtesse Bernard de Cherisey Meursault-Blagny 1er Cru "La Genelotte"

Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2010 Blagny la Genelotte (Rouge) has a well-defined, cola-scented bouquet mixed with raspberry preserve and cranberry. It opens very nicely in the glass... (NM)" (06/2015) K&L Notes: From Kermit Lynch Wine Merchant: "The lost hamlet of Blagny, up in the hills between Puligny-Montrachet and Meursault in the Côte d’Or in Burgundy, is home to Domaine Comtesse Bernard de Chérisey. You may have heard the name “Blagny” before, attached to a bottle of premier cru Meursault-Blagny, or perhaps even a bottle of the increasingl ...Read More »

2016 Domaine Joseph Drouhin Meursault

91 points John Gilman: "This is a great village wine and my favorite of the three top Côte de Beaune white ACs in 2016. The very pretty and complex nose delivers fine purity in its classic blend of apple, pear, almond, bee pollen, chalky soil tones and a discreet framing of vanillin oak. On the palate the wine is pure, full-bodied, crisp and beautifully balanced, with a lovely core and a very elegant, long and zesty finish. A beautiful bottle of Meursault. (Drink between 2018-2035) " (11/2017) 91 points James Suckling: "Five plots around the village. T ...Read More »

2017 Henri Boillot Meursault (Pre-Arrival)

89-91 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2017 Meursault Village is a blend of superior lieux-dits including Narvaux, En la Barre, Limuzin and Clos du Cromin this year, and the resulting cuvée is lovely. Offering up aromas of pear, fresh peach, oatmeal and honeycomb, it's medium to full-bodied, satiny and elegant, with juicy acids and lovely purity, accessible but endowed with all the energy and cut that are Boillot's declared objectives. (WK)" (01/2019) 88-91 points Vinous: "(the crop level here was a reasonable 40 hectoliters per hectare, acco ...Read More »

2015 Domaine Antoine Jobard Meursault

88-90 points Allen Meadows - Burghound: "Firm reduction renders the nose impossible to assess. On the plus side there is fine richness and intensity to the succulent medium weight flavors that possess a caressing mouth feel before terminating in a markedly dry and citrus-inflected finale. This will need a few years to unwind and if it can add a bit more depth, it could be a very fine Meursault villages." (06/2017) 90 points John Gilman: "The 2015 Meursault villages from Domaine Jobard is very lovely, with a nice sense of reserve on the palate, but an o ...Read More »

2016 Xavier Monnot Meursault "Les Chevalieres"

Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2016 Meursault Chevalieres has an attractive nose with scents of fresh pear, lime flower and citrus fruit. Perhaps I would like a little more Meursault nuttiness to come through. The palate is medium-bodied with a lightly honeyed opening, hints of almond and green apple, nicely balanced with a pretty, quite detailed finish. A charmer! Drink now-2022. (NM)" (12/2017)

2016 Domaine Latour-Giraud Meursault 1er Cru "Genevrières"

90-93 points Allen Meadows - Burghound: "Naturally exotic aromas are composed of Asian-style tea and the essence of pear and acacia blossom. The middle weight flavors possess both a finer mouth feel as well as more minerality though not the same power as this is almost delicate on the cool, pure and admirably well-balanced finale. Lovely stuff." (06/2018) 92 points Decanter: "Rich and creamy with great weight of apricot fruit and citrus elements, but not at the expense of acidity. There’s spicy oak, considerable minerality and great drive. The wine is ...Read More »

2016 Maison Joseph Faiveley Meursault

Jancis Robinson: "Wood is more evident here than on the Meursault Blagny and the Meursault Charmes. Fresh lemon and grapefruit with a light tannic grip. Chewy but not excessively so. Needs time. 16.5/20 points. (JH)" (11/2017)

2016 Domaine Latour-Giraud Meursault "Narvaux"

88-91 points Allen Meadows - Burghound: "Hints of olive oil and petrol add breadth to the pear compote and acacia blossom scents. Once again there is outstanding richness to the full-bodied flavors though in this case they are much more mineral-driven with excellent power and persistence on the markedly dry but not really austere finish. This is a big wine even for Narvaux and one that will need at least a few years to unwind." (06/2018) 90 points Vinous: "(Jean-Pierre Latour used no more than 25% new oak for his 2016 white wines): Bright light yellow. ...Read More »

2015 Buisson-Charles Meursault "Veilles Vignes"

91 points Decanter: "Patrick Essa began picking around the 13th September, as much as two weeks later than many of his fellow vignerons, but none of his wines lack freshness. Notes of mirabelle plum, yellow orchard fruit and spring flowers lead into a full-bodied, deep palate of serious power and concentration. There is good cut and focus through the finish despite its amplitude. (WK)"

2016 Domaine Joseph Drouhin Meursault 1er Cru "Perrieres"

92 points Allen Meadows - Burghound: "An elegant and spicy nose reflects notes of mineral reduction, essence of pear and acacia along with wisps of smoke and pain grillé. Here too there is excellent volume and intensity to the even more mineral-inflected flavors that culminate in a gorgeously long if youthfully austere finale. Some patience would be beneficial." (06/2018) 92 points Decanter: "Aromas of pear, crushed rock and flowers precede a concentrated, minerally, almost saline Perrieres, with a rich core of fruit and a precise, stony finish despite ...Read More »

2000 J.-F. Coche Dury Meursault
Bid on this bottle of 2000 J.-F. Coche Dury Meursault (92JG, 90BH, 90RP). John Gilman: "The nose is stylish and really beginning to be a bit generous, offering up classic Meursault nose of apples, pears, almond paste, delicate minerality, spring flowers and vanillin oak. On the palate the wine is fullish, bright and very pure, with lovely balance, good depth at the core, and a long, complex and focused finish. The acids here are present to give the wine lift and bounce, but they do not shut the wine down. I suspect that this is often the most forward cuvée of village Meursault that Monsieur Coche makes. 92+" (11/2003)
