Philippe Tessier took over the domaine from his father in 1981, and has since made it his mission to keep his winemaking natural and his wines reflective of the unique Cheverny mesoclimate in the Loire Valley. His Cour-Cheverney is made from the local grape Romorantin; it is unfined and only lightly filtered so that no nuance of the fruit is lost.
