95 points Vinous: "The 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon Howell Mountain offers good density, but in more of a medium-bodied style that is quite a bit more approachable than is the norm here. A whole range of inky Howell Mountain fruit, graphite, grilled herb, licorice, spice, chocolate, and lavender nuances open up in a brooding, resonant Cabernet that needs a few years in bottle to start drinking well. There is plenty of the structure readers have come to expect from Dunn, but less youthful austerity, which is not a bad thing at all. (AG) 95+" (01/2020) 95 poi...

95 points Wine & Spirits: "The top cabernets from 2013 continue to develop well—this relatively late release from Duckhorn has benefited from its time in bottle, feeling vibrant, with a dynamic interplay of tart cherry flavors and brisk, refreshing tannins. Renee Ary, who was promoted to lead winemaker at Duckhorn in 2014, blended this wine from estate-grown cabernet and purchased fruit; 45 percent of the lot aged in new French oak barrels, adding to the savory black-olive richness of the tannins, while the purple fruit drives past any direct impression ...

97 points Jeb Dunnuck: "The 2017 Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer To Kalon is another head-turning wine that defies the vintage. Coming from one of the benchmark sites in all of Napa as well as the world, it sports a deep purple hue as well as awesome notes of ripe black cherries, graphite, flowery incense, and violets. While the vineyard always seems to produce some of the most opulent and extroverted wines in the vintage, this beauty also has considerable elegance, silky tannins, and a great finish. It should continue drinking brilliantly for 20-25+ year...

97 points International Wine Review: "The 2017 Spottswoode Estate Cabernet Sauvignon is absolutely fantastic, and one of the highlights of the entire vintage. 2017 presented its challenges, with hail, hot summer temperatures and wildfire, but Spottswoode was able to complete harvest before the fires began and they had no impact on the wines. The wine itself is composed of 89% Cabernet Sauvignon, 7% Cabernet Franc and 4% Merlot which spent 20 months in French oak (60% new). The result is a seductive wine that displays a wonderful combination of elegance a...

96 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon Kathryn Hall from Napa is another blockbuster, exhibiting an opaque bluish purple color, notes of charcoal, graphite, blackberry, chocolate and exotic spices, a full-bodied mouthfeel, and a long, long finish. Like most 2013s, it is just hinting at its ultimate potential, but this wine is loaded and exciting. (RP)" (12/2016) 95 points Wine Enthusiast: "This wine is made to highlight the vintage and best vineyards, relying heavily on the producer’s top-end site, Sacrashe. A hugely cons...

98 points Jeb Dunnuck: "A tour de force from this team, the 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer Las Piedras Vineyard Colesworthy is a barrel selection from this site and I believe it’s brought up all in new Darnajou barrels. It’s a quintessential 2018 with its more reserved, elegant, yet incredibly concentrated style, and like its sibling, it has a beautiful, savory style that includes a wealth of red and black fruits as well as espresso, tobacco leaf, cedar pencil, and dried flowers. It’s actually more reserved and backward than the straight single vine...

99 points Jeb Dunnuck: "This iconic site located outside of St. Helena always produces a rich, powerful wine, and the 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer Dr. Crane Vineyard is no exception, offering loads of black and blue fruits, gravelly earth, chocolate, and Asian spice notes as well as a full-bodied, opulent, sexy profile on the palate. With a beautiful sense of freshness, ripe, polished tannins, and a great finish, this gorgeous effort needs 2-3 years of bottle age and will cruise for 30 years or more." (08/2020)

95 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The more closed but potentially greater 2009 Cabernet Sauvignon Grand Vin State Lane Vineyard is a 480-case blend of 96% Cabernet Sauvignon and the rest Merlot and Cabernet Franc. Its dense ruby/purple color is followed by notes of licorice, creme de cassis, camphor and subtle toast. Full-bodied and concentrated, it represents 15% of the total Kapcsandy production. The wine finished with 13.7% alcohol, which in these days is relatively low, although the alcohol levels were down in 2009 through 2011 because of the...

99 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "A compelling example of this noble terroir in the northeastern sector of Napa Valley, the 2001 Cabernet Sauvignon Eisele Vineyard still has a dense purple color and possesses a seamless personality with spectacular notes of licorice, incense, black raspberries, black currants, crushed rock, and spring flowers. Stunningly full-bodied, multi-layered, with great purity and expression, this fabulous wine is still youthful but very accessible, as the tannins are velvety and well-integrated. This wine will keep aging b...

98 points James Suckling: "Aromas of blueberries and currants and floral hints, such as violets, with subtle minerality. Opens into true beauty and pureness of fruit. Medium to full body. Seamless tannins spread across the palate. Shows finesse and focus and the true character of Eisele. Beautifully crafted. Try after 2023, but already a joy to taste." (02/2020) 97 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Composed of 100% Cabernet Sauvignon, the 2017 Cabernet Sauvignon displays a deep garnet-purple color and is a little sluggish to reveal its fragrant co...

92-94 points Vinous: "The 2011 Cabernet Sauvignon Passionnement is soft, supple and very nicely balanced throughout. It possesses lovely depth and textural finesse, both supported by firm, yet harmonious tannins. (AG)" (12/2012) 91 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The inky-colored 2011 Cabernet Sauvignon Passionnement (100% Cabernet Sauvignon; 125 cases produced) reveals lots of sweet toasty oak, beautiful upfront black currant and licorice-infused blackberry fruit, medium to full body, low acidity and ripe tannin. Consume it over the next decade...

96 points James Suckling: "This is superb wine with dark chocolate, berry and spice. Extremely perfumed. Full body, super silky tannins. Great finish. This is so delicious. Ripe yet fresh. Tannins are polished and elegant. 80% cabernet sauvignon, 8% merlot, 8% cabernet franc and 4% petit verdot." (07/2015) 96 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The seductive 2012 Proprietary Red Bettina offers up a more Margaux-like femininity compared to the overwhelming power and richness of the Bryant Family Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon. This wine is a blend sourc...

98 points Jeb Dunnuck: "The 2018 The Bard is beautiful and certainly in the same realm as the 2015 and 2016, both magical wines. This cuvée reveals a deep purple color followed by a beautiful perfume of crème de cassis, blackberries, roasted coffee, spring flowers, and violets. With incredible richness, no hard edges, and a blockbuster finish, this incredible wine offers serious opulence with no sensation of heaviness or weight. It's beautifully done and already complex and nuanced." (08/2020) 98 points Vinous: "The 2018 The Bard is fabulous and also o...

94 points James Suckling: "Very attractive aromas of blackcurrants, black olives and dark leather with some cedar. It’s full-bodied with firm, silky tannins and a refined, polished finish. Shows finesse and focus. Grows on the palate. Really delicious now, but will improve with age. Drink or hold." (11/2020) 92 points Wine Enthusiast: "Blended with Merlot, Petit Verdot and Cabernet Franc, this full-bodied, highly expressive red is made from Coombsville estate grapes as well as grapes from sites in Rutherford and Oakville. It presents concentrated, burl...

Medium-to full-bodied, savory and juicy with big tannins. Gorgeous. To Kalon grandeur. Yes! " (01/2017) 97 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Another 100% Cabernet Sauvignon is the 2014 Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer to Kalon Vineyard, coming from clones 4 and 337 from that famous first-growth Oakville vineyard of 90 acres. Remarkably, the Robert Mondavi winery still owns eve...

97 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2009 Cabernet Sauvignon Eisele Vineyard is one of the great wines of the vintage. It brings together gorgeous aromatics, juicy, expressive red fruit and silky tannins. Now seemingly past a period of closure post-bottling, the 2009 looks like a wine that will drink well pretty much throughout its entire life. The 2009 is a totally sexy Cabernet endowed with stunning depth and a rich, enveloping personality. This is pure Araujo and pure Eisele. (AG)" (12/2012) 95 points Vinous: "Dark red-ruby. Musky, deep nos...

98 points Vinous: "The 2017 Dominus is one of the truly epic, grand wines of the vintage. Rich, dense and explosive, with tremendous concentration and sheer power, the 2017 Dominus captures all the personality of this site along with the natural opulence of the year. Inky dark fruit, lavender, menthol, licorice, plum, gravel and a host of dark spice notes infuse the 2017 with seemingly endless layers of nuance. Over the last two years I have tasted several hundred Napa Valley Cabernets, both from barrel and bottle. There is no question that Dominus belon...

94 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Medium to deep garnet in color, the 2010 Cabernet Sauvignon Estate is a little mute at this stage, offering up glimpses of crushed blackberry, red plums and wild blueberries notes with touches of pencil shavings, dried Mediterranean herbs and forest floor. Medium-bodied, it has a velvety backbone and mouth-filling red and blue fruits, finishing long and earthy. (LPB)" (02/2018) 94 points Vinous: "The 2010 Cabernet Sauvignon Estate is immediate, juicy and expressive in this vintage. At the same time, it seems pr...

92 points Vinous: "Round Pond's 2015 Cabernet Sauvignon Rutherford is attractive, even if it is at times a bit monolithic. The dark cherry, plum, smoke, menthol and tobacco flavors speak with baritone intensity. Powerful and resonant in the glass, the 2015 has more than enough depth and persistence to drink well for a number of years. Its biggest competition, quite frankly, comes from some of the other wines in the range. (AG)" (03/2018) 90 points Wine Enthusiast: "Soft and supple in milk chocolate and cherry, this wine contains 2% Petit Verdot. Dried ...

95 points Vinous: "The 2011 Ovid is super-silky, finessed and beautiful. There is a bit less resonance and depth relative to most vintages, but the 2011 makes up for that with its aromatic complexity, pure expressiveness and long, resonant finish. With time in the glass, the spiced and floral notes become more apparent. The delicate, perfumed finish rounds things out beautifully. The 2011 is 81% Cabernet Sauvignon, 13% Cabernet Franc, 4% Merlot, and 2% Petit Verdot, which is more Cabernet Sauvignon and less Franc than is usually the case. This is another...

Bid on this magnum of 2018 Kongsgaard "The Judge" Napa Valley Chardonnay (1.5L) ((97-99RP), (95-97VN)). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2018 Chardonnay The Judge (a barrel sample) leaps from the glass with vivacious notes of mandarin peel, lemongrass and lime leaves with a core of fresh pink grapefruit, green guava and apple blossom plus wafts of shaved almonds and wet pebbles. Full-bodied, the palate delivers a powerful core of tropical fruit and savory layers with a lively line of freshness and a pleasantly oily texture, finishing long and zesty. Very pure, very delineated and wonderfully chalky at the very end. (LPB) 97-99+" (11/2019)
Starting Bid: $640.00

Bid on this magnum of 2005 Shafer "Hillside Select" Stags Leap District Cabernet Sauvignon (1.5L) (99RP, (94-97ST), 95VN, 95WS, 94JS, 94W&S). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "One of the world’s great wines and profound expressions of Cabernet Sauvignon, is the 2005 Cabernet Sauvignon Hillside Select. This wine spends more than 30 months in 100% new oak, and, year in year out, has been one of the most singular and profound examples of Cabernet Sauvignon in the world. It seems Shafer began to ratchet up performance during the 1990s, and the first decade of the 21st century has provided a treasure trove of either perfect or nearly perfect wines, including the 2001, 2002, 2004, 2005, 2007 and more recently the 2010, 2012 and, in all likelihood, the 2013. The 2005 Cabernet Sauvignon Hillside Select (about 2,000 cases produced) is another one of those 'wow' wines, but it does it with a sort of measured richness and restraint and extraordinary subtle character, like the Gary Cooper of Napa Cab

Bid on this magnum of 2002 Shafer "Hillside Select" Stags Leap District Cabernet Sauvignon (1.5L) (100RP, 97WE, 97WS, 95W&S, 94DC, 94VN). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "In contrast to the more linear, structured, but massive 2001, the 2002 Shafer Cabernet Sauvignon Hillside Select is pure fruit-bomb material, but stunningly proportioned, beautifully pure, with notes of melted chocolate, blackcurrant jam, sweet black cherries, licorice, camphor and charcoal. Very full-bodied, like the 2001, but much more lavishly fruited, it is more accessible and hedonistically, as well as intellectually, satisfying. If the 2001 is the long-distance runner, this comes across more like a middle-distancer. It had performed fabulously well since it was released by the winery, and even though it’s still an adolescent in terms of its evolution, this wine is a head-turner in wine tastings, and a spectacular effort from Napa. (RP)" (12/2014)

Bid on this 2-magnum lot of 1996 Philip Togni Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (1.5L) (97VN, 96RP, 95JG, 93WS). Vinous: "Togni's 1996 Cabernet Sauvignon Estate opens with extraordinary aromatics. The sweet tobacco, gravel, smoke, leather and spice notes that have developed in bottle are utterly captivating. Rich, deep and inviting, the 1996 simply has it all. With time, the 1996 has developed into a magnificent Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon. (AG)" (12/2016)
Starting Bid: $725.00

Bid on this 2-magnum lot of 1995 Phillip Togni Napa Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (1.5L) (96RP, 96VN, 91ST). Vinous: "Togni's 1995 Cabernet Sauvignon Estate is simply dazzling. Deep, unctuous and explosive, this Cabernet Sauvignon screams with the essence of exotic spices, iron, graphite, leather, smoke, game and dark fruit. The 1995 gets better and better with time in the glass, revealing myriad shades of dimension and extraordinary balance. Although stunning today, the 1995 has at least another decade ahead of it. The 1995 was made from the original vines that were ten years old at the time. (AG) 96+" (10/2015)
Starting Bid: $510.00

Bid on this 1.5 liter 3-bottle lot of 2002 ZD Reserve Napa Valley Chardonnay (1.5L) in original wood. Connoisseurs Guide: "Its first oddly woodsy, wet-stone aromas are not the stuff of immediate charm, but this strongly oaked wine rights itself on the palate with well-concentrated flavors of apples and spice. Although oak is clearly the pace-setter here, it is never too far forward of fruit, and richer salmon or chicken recipes will show the wine at its best. *One Star*" (01/2005)
Starting Bid: $75.00

Bid on this magnum of 2016 Realm "The Bard" Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (1.5L) (98RP, 97JD, 97JS, 95VN, 94DC, 94WE). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "A blend of 85% Cabernet Sauvignon, 10% Merlot and 5% Petit Verdot from 21 different lots from 11 different vineyards, the 2016 The Bard is very deep purple-black in color and sashays out of the glass with strikingly beautiful violets, warm cassis, star anise and chocolate mint notes with hints of wood smoke, tobacco and kirsch, with blackberry compote at the core. Full, muscular and built like a brick house with layer upon layer of black, blue and red fruits, it finishes very long and savory. Drink through 2055. LPB)" (10/2018)

Bid on this magnum of 2002 Kelham Oakville Cabernet Sauvignon (1.5L). This is a big, bold and structured red sure to evolve with age.

Bid on this 2-magnum lot of 2010 Pahlmeyer Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (1.5L) (95RP, 94VN, 92WS, 91ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Mocha, espresso, cloves and blackberry jam are some of many nuances that emerge from the 2010 Red Blend. A deep, rich wine, the 2010 boasts stunning aromatics, beautifully chiseled fruit and fabulous overall balance. I sense a slightly less sweet, overt style than in previous years, yet at the same time, there is plenty of richness in the glass. I suspect the 2010 will still be going strong at age 20. Today, it is flat-out gorgeous. The 2010 is 82% Cabernet Sauvignon, 9% Merlot, 6% Cabernet Franc, 2% Petit Verdot and 1% Malbec. (AG) 95+" (12/2012)
Starting Bid: $390.00

Bid on this 2-magnum lot of 1997 La Jota "16th Anniversary" Howell Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon (1.5L) (93RP, 91ST, 91WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The sensational black/purple-colored 1997 Cabernet Sauvignon 16th Anniversary Release is closed, but its emerging aromas of charcoal, blackberries, cassis, and minerals are promising. The wine is intense, ripe, with a layered, expansive richness, and exotic notes of Asian spices, beef blood, and assorted black fruits. (RP)" (01/2000)

Bid on this magnum of 2018 Schrader "Old Sparky - Beckstoffer To Kalon Vineyard" Oakville Cabernet Sauvignon (1.5L) 1-Pack in OWC (OWC - 99JS) in original wood. James Suckling: "A great expression of cabernet sauvignon. Full-bodied with notes of crushed berries and nuts. Well balanced, with great quality to the tannins and pleasant acidity. The structure and texture are in harmony, leading to a long, flavorful finish. Shows wonderful length and beauty. Goes on and on. Needs at least five years to mellow. Try after 2025." (12/2020)
Starting Bid: $792.00

Bid on this magnum of 1988 Dalla Valle "Maya" Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (1.5L) (93RP, 90VN). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 1988 Maya, made from a blend of 55% Cabernet Sauvignon and 45% Cabernet Franc, has a dense, very opaque black/purple color, a huge bouquet of super-ripe cassis, licorice, and vanillin aromas, followed by astonishingly intense, highly extracted, impeccably well-balanced, full-bodied flavors. The bad news is that only 200 cases were produced, so latching onto a bottle or two will not be easy. It should drink well over the next 20-25 years, probably longer. (RP)" (10/1993)
Starting Bid: $510.00

Bid on this magnum of 1995 La Jota "14th Anniversary" Howell Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon (1.5L) (94RP). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "A monster, the tannic 1995 Cabernet Sauvignon 14th Anniversary Release is unquestionably a huge, mountain-styled Cabernet. It exhibits a black/purple color and a reticent but promising nose of minerals, smoke, black currants, and underbrush. Although full-bodied and excruciatingly tannic, there is enough fruit to balance out the wine's structure. (RP)" (12/1997)
Starting Bid: $130.00

Bid on this magnum of 1997 Dominus Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (1.5L) (95VN, 94RP, 93WE, 93WS). Vinous: "Saturated ruby-red. Multidimensional nose offers a panoply of scents: black plum, currant, leather, smoked meat, cigar ash, lead pencil, sandalwood, dark chocolate, licorice, brown sugar. Very bright and sharply defined; flavors of plum, leather, hot stones and lead pencil. An impeccably balanced wine of compelling sweetness, but rather dominated today by its structure. Strong, thoroughly ripe tannins spread out to coat the entire palate. Very long and subtle. (ST)" (05/2000)
Starting Bid: $350.00

Bid on this magnum of 2012 Mark Herold "Herold by Mark Herold" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (94RP, 93VN). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon Herold by Mark Herold, which is his $195.00 bottle of Cabernet Sauvignon (340 cases), is super-duper rich. Made from 100% Cabernet Sauvignon and tipping the scales at a lofty 15.3% natural alcohol, the wine shows loads of blackberry fruit, graphite, licorice, forest floor and white flowers. There are baking spice notes, plenty of toasty oak and a full-bodied, powerful, super-concentrated mouthfeel. Herold said his fruit sources for this wine are Stagecoach, Atlas Peak and Coombsville vineyards. This wine should drink well for 15-20 years. (RP)" (10/2014)
Starting Bid: $215.00

Bid on this magnum of 1990 Dalla Valle "Maya" Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (1.5L) (97VN, 96RP). Vinous: "The 1990 Maya boasts serious depth and intensity. Incredibly, the 1990 remains youthful, deep and concentrated, with frankly little in the way of aromatic development. Only one question remains. When will the 1990 Maya peak? A wine for the ages, the 1990 is a real stunner. " (06/2014)
Starting Bid: $703.00

Bid on this 1.5 liter 1-bottle lot of 2012 Myriad "Beckstoffer Georges III" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (1.5L) (97RP, 93JS, (91-93ST), 92WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "From the famous George III vineyard, the 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer Georges III Vineyard has a haunting bouquet of cedar wood, juicy blackcurrant jam and forest floor. A soil note enhances the overall picture. The wine has gorgeously sweet well-integrated tannins, no evidence of new oak (as it’s so well-integrated), a plush, voluptuously textured full-bodied mouthfeel and a knockout finish. This is sensational wine that can easily be a modern-day version of one of the great BV Private Reserves from decades ago, although in this case it’s aged in French oak, not American. Kudos to Mike Smith. Look for this to drink well for 20 or more years. (RP)" (10/2014)

James Suckling: "I can't wait to taste this in bottle. Bright fruit, with currants and plums on the nose. A powerful and structured palate, with plenty of tannins and a long flavorful finish. This is precise, a combination of the 2006 and 2007. Barrel sample." (02/2011)

Bid on this magnum of 2017 Pott "Incubo" Mount Veeder Cabernet Sauvignon (1.5L) (95RP, 94VN). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Made from 100% Cabernet Sauvignon, the deep garnet-purple colored 2017 Cabernet Sauvignon Incubo takes some coaxing to reveal beautifully perfumed notes of lilacs, eucalyptus, chocolate box and unsmoked cigars with a core of blackcurrant cordial and plum puddling plus a hint of pencil lead. Medium-bodied, the palate has impressive intensity and purity with a firm line of ripe, grainy tannins and lovely freshness, finishing long and layered. (LPB)" (12/2019)

Bid on this magnum of 2015 Ridge Vineyards "Estate" Santa Cruz Mountains Cabernet Sauvignon (1.5L) (95DC, 94JD, 94JS, 92RP, 92VN, 90CG). Decanter: "Made with fruit sourced from Ridge's famous low yielding Monte Bello Vineyard in the Santa Cruz Mountains AVA, the Ridge Estate Cabernet Sauvignon was first produced in 2008, and offers an earlier drinking alternative to the Monte Bello itself. The unique vineyard is composed of green stone and clay soils, over decomposing limestone, and is located only 15 miles from the Pacific Ocean. A blend of 81% Cabernet Sauvignon, 16% Merlot, 2% Petit Verdot and 1% Cabernet Franc, the 2015 Estate Cabernet Sauvignon spends 18 months in American oak barrels, 45% of which are new." (09/2019)
