94 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2017 Riesling Ockfener Bockstein Spätlese (White Capsule) shows a nobly elegant, refined, bright and floral-scented slate bouquet with depth and remarkably fine or subtle intensity. On the palate, this is a finely textured, very elegant, piquant and salty dry Riesling with concentrated, juicy fruit and lingering salinity. It still has lots of ripe lemon flavors but is textured and with remarkable finesse. This dry Spätlese can compete with many so-called "GG" wines and will likely survive most of them. (SR)" ...

91 points Decanter: "Characterised by its steep, red slate slope, Erdener Treppchen can produce wines of impressive depth and minerality. This 2018 Kabinett has a fresh aroma of crisp green apple, followed on the fairly soft palate by more appley fruit and a touch of sweetness. There is some steely minerality on the finish which freshens things up. A lovely, plump, juicy wine for drinking over the next 10 years. 45.4g/l Drinking Window 2019 - 2030. (JB)" (05/2019)

99 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2017 Riesling Zeltinger Sonnenuhr Auslese *** (Green Capsule) opens with an oaky, pretty Burgundian aroma, leading to a deep, pure, concentrated, wonderfully aromatic and elegant bouquet of subtle crunchy slate scents, great intensity and mineral freshness. This has a mind-blowing nose, and it gains more lime zest and lemon confit aromas as it takes more air. The palate is silky, lush and enormously piquant, with firm tannins and highly stimulating citrus concentration. This is a very rich, round, generous an...

96 points James Suckling: "Super peachy with great brilliance and refinement. This is a great Spätlese that's dry enough for the finest lobster dish, but it is also powerful enough to cope with the spiciest curry. The very long finish keeps pumping out fruit and minerals. Drink or hold. " (06/2018) 92 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "From a warm, older vineyard (up to 70 years old) inside the Hofberg, the 2017 Riesling Feinherb 'in der Sängerei' is concentrated and aromatic on the fine, spicy, herbal nose. Lush and elegant, this is a mouth-fillin...

95 points James Suckling: "Very ripe, but no less graceful, this is an extremely refined wine for this category with hints of vanilla and floral honey. Long and complex mineral finish with great freshness. Drink or hold. " (09/2018)

Nestled on the idyllic, rambling Dhronbach river, a tributary of the greater Mosel, Andreas Adam's estate specializes in the seldom-attempted category of dry Mosel wines. Sourcing primarily from the grand cru Hofberg site, Adam has the enviable touch necessary to achieve what few vintners in Mosel can - dry wines that are not overly austere or punishingly acidic. Since the Mosel rarely achieves the ripeness and natural sugars that appear regularly in, say, the Pfalz or the Nahe, Adam is tasked with taming a sometimes unforgiving beast in his wines' natur...

94 points James Suckling: "Legally, this isn't dry. However, in spite of that, it's a wonderful dry wine for elegant fish dishes. Deep and complex with herbal notes and berries on the nose. Great tension, energy and minerality on the palate. Enormous aging potential, but it is already delicious. " (06/2018) 94 points Wine Spectator: "Dry-tasting, with an intriguing complexity that makes you pause and reflect on each sip. Emerging flavors of spearmint, slate and white pepper draw you in, while a mix of Bosc pear and clementine captivate you. The long, m...

Bid on this half-bottle of 2002 Dönnhoff Oberhauser Brucke Riesling Eiswein Nahe (375ml) (100JG, 100RP). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2002 Riesling Eiswein Oberhauser Brucke is a grand slam home run for Donnhoff. It is so intense, so powerful, and so complex as to instill fear in the taster. Its apricot and peach cobbler aromas lead to a jellied core of cassis, raspberries, syrupy slate, and oodles of spices. It is simply amazing that a wine of this richness, ripeness, and depth can retain perfect definition, grip, and refinement. What is truly terrifying, however, is that Donnhoff produced a three-star Eiswein from the same vineyard in 2002, one he presumably considers better than this sublime nectar. Part of me is grateful that I was unable to taste it, however, as I have only 100 points with which to work. Bravo! Projected maturity: 2015-2040+. (PR)" (02/2004)

Bid on this 4-bottle lot of 2001 Joh. Jos. Prüm Wehlener Sonnenuhr Riesling Auslese Mosel (96WS, 92VN). Wine Spectator: "Piercing scent of slate, then the palate is awash in peach, pear and lime notes, intricately layered in the dense, yet clear texture. Beautifully defined by a firm, well-integrated structure, with an endless finish. (BS)" (03/2003)
Starting Bid: $250.00

Bid on this 3-half-bottle lot of 2001 Dr. Loosen Erdener Prälat Auslese Goldkapsel Mosel (375ml) (94RP, 92WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The densely layered 2001 Riesling Auslese Erdener Pralat (Gold Capsule) has intense smoky, honeyed aromas. Pear syrup imbued with slate and minerals are intermingled with red berries and kumquats in this medium-bodied, rich, thick wine. Concentrated, powerful, and deep, it appears to have the muscle of a Beerenauslese. Anticipated maturity: 2008-2020. (PR)" (12/2002)
Starting Bid: $240.00

Bid on this 5-bottle lot of 2001 Schlossgut Diel Dorsheimer Burgberg GoldKap Auslese (94WS). Wine Spectator: "Terrific. A rich wine with muted flavors of spice, vanilla, passion fruit and pastry shot through with searing acidity. Intense, with concentrated flavors and a delicate frame. (BS)" (03/2003)

94 points James Suckling: "A stunning Kabinett that reinterprets this category in a barely off-dry style. Delicate, apricot nose and a ravishing interplay of fruit and acidity. Where is the smoked salmon? Where is that roast chicken? Drink or hold." (09/2018) 93 points Vinous: "Musky perfume of peony and narcissus, accompanied by mint and green tea, share aromatic billing with intimations of white peach and Persian melon. The silken palate is correspondingly luscious, coolingly herb-suffused, and loaded with billowing inner-mouth perfume. Sweet-saline,...
