Jeb Dunnuck: "Bright citrus, lemon curd, and some honeysuckle notes emerge from the 2018 Sauvignon Blanc, which is medium-bodied, supple, and straightforward." (01/2020) Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2018 Sauvignon Blanc is a little youthfully closed to begin, revealing with coaxing fragrant lime blossom, yuzu and grapefruit scents plus hints of wet pebbles and mown grass. Medium-bodied, the palate has plenty of citrusy zest on offer with a racy backbone and chalky finish. (LPB)" (11/2019) K&L Notes: The 2018 Sauvignon Blanc from Duckhorn has y...

92 points Vinous: "The 2016 Chardonnay (Sonoma Coast) is a gorgeous appellation level wine. Intensely perfumed, with tons of sheer class, the 2016 has so much to offer. The tropical fruit, mint and floral notes are pliant and open in this creamy, polished Chardonnay from Flowers. This is a terrific introduction to the vintage. (AG)" (07/2018) 91 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2016 Chardonnay Sonoma Coast offers up subtle lemongrass, grapefruit and nectarine notes with touches of chalk dust and fresh ginger. Medium-bodied with well-played fr...

Bid on this 375 ml 6-bottle lot of 2001 Karthäuserhof Eitelsbacher Karthäuserhofberg Riesling Auslese #44 Mosel (375 ml). Karthauserhofberg is a great estate in every sense of the word. A Monopole within the district of the Ruwer, the name derives from the Carthusian monks who were presented with the vineyards in 1335. Upon secularization the estate was purchased by the Rautenstrauch family in 1811 where it has remained through six generations. In ripe years this is the pinnacle of Riesling in this small valley. The quality of the soil, the "Iron Bar" of minerals that the vineyards cover, impart a unique quality that is distinct from any other site. This estate is on a short list of "Grand Cru" vineyards in the Mosel-Saar-Ruwer.

Bid on this 5-half-bottle lot of 2004 Dönnhoff Niederhauser Hermannshöhle Riesling Auslese Nahe (375ml) (95RP, 94WS, 92ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2004 Niederhauser Hermannshohle Riesling Auslese is blazingly bright in the nose, with tropical fruit richness allied to bright citrus and tart red raspberry notes. In the mouth there is sharpness and brightness as well as a complex dynamic of mango, pink grapefruit, red raspberry and pungent spice and mineral saltiness. This lacks the delicacy or serenity of so many of Donnhoff’s best wines, but in its jazz-like syncopation of flavors and the almost jarring juxtaposition of blazingly bright citricity with massive density, offers an exciting personality all its own. (DS)" (10/2005)

Bid on this 375 ml 6-bottle lot of 2001 Dr. Loosen Erdener Treppchen Riesling Auslese (375ml) (93WS). (BS)" (03/2003)
Starting Bid: $270.00

Bid on this 3-half-bottle lot of 2001 Langwerth von Simmern Rauenthaler Baiken Riesling Auslese Rheingau (375ml). The history of the Barons Langwerth von Simmern at the Rheingau dates back to the year 1464, when Johann Langwerth von Simmern received 32 2/3 Morgen (approx. 25 acres) of "Hattenheimer Mannberg" as for his services as chancellor to Duke Ludwig von Pfalz-Zweibrücken. In 1472, after the acquisition of Castle Hattenheim, the family made the Rheingau their home. And they've been producing world-class wine every since. This is from a very fine vintage in Germany, rated 98 points in Wine Spectator's vintage charts: "Best vintage since 1971. Ripe, healthy grapes made pure, harmonious wines at all quality levels."
Starting Bid: $60.00

Bid on this 4-half-bottle lot of 2004 Müller Catoir Haardter Bürgergarten Riesling Auslese (375ml) (97RP, 94WS, 93ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Almost unbelievably, the 2004 Haardter Burgergarten Riesling Auslese - harvested on the cusp of Trockenbeerenauslese must weight – ratchets up the complexity, richness and depth. Lemon cream, toasted almond, musk, caramelized apricot, malt, mineral salts, honey and a mysterious meatiness figure among the players in this long drama. The sense of layers exhibited by the Eselshaut are extended to jammy, caramelized, dried, and tartly fresh pit fruits, and the finish penetrates even more deeply. (DS)" (10/2005)

Of the 2001 Selbach Oster Zeltinger Himmelreich Riesling Eiswein Mosel (375ml),Wine Spectator writes: "Great purity and focus are the hallmarks of this delicate, lively eiswein. It's like a pumped-up spätlese, with its peach, lime and slate flavors super intense and sharply etched into the racy structure. Long, mouthwatering finish. (BS)" (03/2003)
