Domaine Côtes Blanches was established in the 1930s by Bernard and Pierre Millet. In 1980, it was time for the second generation to take the reins, so François and Monique expanded the estate to 21 hectares of vines (15 Sauvignon, 6 Pinot Noir). After returning from his studies in Beaune five years ago, Nicolas (son of François and Monique) joined the family-run estate and brought a new energized passion. The family is dedicated to the land and the environment by which they are surrounded. All farming is done organically, harvest dates are dictated by na...

The cool Carneros region, where San Pablo Bay meets both Napa and Sonoma Valleys, provides beautiful, fresh acidity and the key sense of balance for these fan-favorite Chardonnays. Rombauer has been producing the Carneros-specific Chardonnay since 1990, and the 2018 is another pristine example of this classic style balancing bold fruit and lively acidity.

94 points Jeb Dunnuck: "The 2018 Condrieu Les Terrasses de L'Empire has a portion brought up in oak, all being used, and it's always a great introduction into the wines of this estate. Medium to full-bodied, elegant and seamless, it has terrific purity (especially given the heat in the vintage) as well as lots of white flower, salted citrus, tangerine, and a kiss of rocky minerality. Nicely concentrated as well as balanced, this brilliant wine is not far off the two pricier releases." (12/2019)

97 points Decanter: "Leflaive owns a comparatively large 1.8ha in Chevalier, running from the bottom to the top of the grand cru, so it's normally made in two separate lots. The oak needs a little more time to integrate, but this is another stellar performance by the legendary domaine. It's saline and elegant yet with understated richness and concentration - a world-class wine from a world-class vineyard. (TA)" (10/2018) 97 points John Gilman: "The 2017 Chevalier-Montrachet chez Leflaive is an absolute classic in the making. The beautiful bouquet wafts...

Zarate is legendary in the Salnes sub-zone of Rias Baixas. They were the first to bottle single vineyard Albariños, highlighting different terroirs within the region. Their wines are always amongst the most linear, acid forward, and structured of Albariños, and we are thrilled that they are once again represented in the US and available for purchase. Absolutely classic wines from this top Spanish white wine D.O. This single vineyard bottling does not go through malolactic and is a best in class example of the Albariño grape.

97 points James Suckling: "The refined, yellow grapefruit nose and the elegant first impression on the palate hardly prepare you for the tidal wave of flavor and freshness that then hits you. Yet, the wine remains so light-footed and delicate. Then you glide into the distance through the very long, silky finish. Drink or hold." (02/2019) 94 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Pow! The 100% Sauvignon Blanc 2016 Le Petit Cheval Blanc explodes from the glass, delivering a tantalizing perfume of ripe peaches, mango and fresh pineapple with hints of lime...

93 points Vinous: "One of my long-time favorites in this range, the 2011 Sauvignon Blanc L'Apres-Midi is gorgeous in this vintage. Citrus lychee, jasmine, melon, fig, smoke, and pear notes all flesh out in the glass. The 2011 is impeccably layered and balanced from start to finish. Hints of lemon oil and white flowers add brightness on the crisp, bracing finish. The blocked malo style works particularly well here. The 2011 is 95% Sauvignon (1/3rd Musque) and 5% Semillon. (AG)" (07/2013) 92 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Composed of 96% Sauvigno...

97 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2018 Scharzhofberger Auslese (AP #8) is coolish, clear, intense and concentrated on the flinty and even rocky nose with its crunchy notes of broken slate and lemon juice. On the palate, this is a generous, highly elegant and refined, beautifully balanced and salty-crystalline Auslese with concentrated but detailed, elegant fruit, finely grained minerals and a long, complex finish. An impressive, great vin de terroir. Tasted in June 2019.(SR)" (08/2019) 95 points John Gilman: "There is more botrytis characte...

96 points Decanter: "Anyone who feared that quality would drop after a change of ownership at this historic domaine will be happy to know that this grand cru white is as good as ever. Blending components from three different terroirs and altitudes, it's an elegant, textured, saline white of incredible precision and understated power, with subtle toasty oak and undertones of jasmine and lemongrass. Drinking window 2021-2029. (TA)" (10/2018) 96 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2017 Corton-Charlemagne Grand Cru is showing superbly from bottle, w...

95 points James Suckling: "This is really deep and dense with a long, long finish. It's full-bodied plus has mineral, salt and dried fruits. Very powerful with a super finish that's generous and sexy. " (09/2015) 93 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2011 Riesling Clos Ste Hune (in the market now, and which Pierre Trimbach compares with the 1983) is super ripe, rich, intense and complex on the nose. On the palate, this is a rich and concentrated, powerful but elegant and balanced Sainte Hune that currently lacks a bit of tension and vitality. H...

94 points Vinous: "(100% marsanne): Bright gold. Orange oil and pear on the pungent, mineral-dominated nose. Rich, dense and focused, with a complex array of palate-staining orchard and pit fruit flavors. Broad and smooth but light on its feet thanks to a spine of zesty minerality. Very smooth and gently sweet on the endless finish, which leaves notes of honey and bitter pear skin behind. (JR)" (03/2012) 93 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2010 Hermitage La Chapelle Blanc is 100% Marsanne from the vineyard known as Maison Blanche situated at ...

The Millet Sancerre has been a favorite here at K&L for a long time. Grown in limestone-clay soil, the wine reflects the terroir wonderfully. The flavors are bright with lime, mineral, passion fruit, and that wonderful chalkiness one wants from a Sancerre. This wine over delivers and pairs beautifully with oily seafood dishes and of course, your favorite cheeses.

A beautiful terroir skillfully worked by Jérômine Paret and Philippe Garnier. Responding to the call of his parents, Jérômine gave up a career as an English teacher to take over the family estate. She then studied business and allied herself with Philippe Garnier, who has one goal in mind: to achieve excellence. She does not regret her choices today and her customers don't either! Thus, the estate evolves each year with new wines and techniques. The organically-farmed vineyards are planted mostly to Marsanne, and this is reflected in the blend, which als...

Bid on this magnum of 2014 Peter Michael "Ma Belle-Fille" Knights Valley Chardonnay (1.5L) (98RP, 96JS, 92VN, 92WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2014 Chardonnay Ma Belle Fille has essentially the same aromatic and flavor profile as well as huge body and concentration that also characterized the 2015, with oodles of caramelized citrus and honeysuckle in its explosive aromatics and intense flavors. Both are fabulous Chardonnays like their siblings and should be drunk over the next 10-12 years. (RP)" (10/2016)

Bid on this magnum of 2000 Domaine Ramonet Montrachet Grand Cru (1.5L) (96BH, (91-93RP)). Allen Meadows - Burghound: "The most complete of these wines with a dash of each of them. Fresh, bright and beautifully detailed aromas of green apple and roasted nuts lead to massive, marvelously intense, muscular flavors of simply incredible complexity and palate staining force. Quite elegant and remarkably well balanced for such a massive wine and this delivers wave after wave of sappy extract on the seemingly never-ending finish. It never ceases to amaze me how Montrachet can be so big yet so light on the palate. A great Ramonet Montrachet." (07/2003)
Starting Bid: $2,750.00

Bid on this magnum of 2016 Peter Michael "Ma Belle-Fille" Knights Valley Chardonnay (1.5L) (98RP, 97JS, 96JD, 95VN). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2016 Chardonnay Ma Belle Fille slowly unfurls in the glass to reveal vibrant key lime pie, lemongrass, pink grapefruit and white peaches scents with suggestions of crushed stones, clotted cream, almond croissant and orange blossoms. Medium to full-bodied and with a fantastic intensity of citrus and stone fruit layers giving way to loads of mineral accents, it finishes long and creamy. (LPB)" (10/2018)
Starting Bid: $170.00

Bid on this magnum of 2017 Aubert "Powder House" Sonoma Coast Chardonnay (1.5L) (97JS, 97RP, 95VN). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The first vintage of this wine, the 2017 Chardonnay Powder House comes from eight acres of what are now estate-owned vines planted in 2013, to Hyde Old Wente and Mt. Eden clones on Goldridge soils. The vineyard is located in downtown Forestville, right across from the high school. At 15.4% alcohol, like Aubert’s other single-vineyard, singular Chardonnays, this baby is no shrinking violet. Although it is a little youthfully closed to begin, it unwinds with coaxing to offer glimpses at baked apple, poached pears, peach preserves and pineapple upside-down cake plus hints of praline, crème brûlée and clover honey. Full-bodied, the palate features a wicked backbone of freshness, beautifully lifting all those concentrated, densely packed flavors, finishing very long and wonderfully pure. Drink through 2032. Bid on this magnum of 2009 Pierre-Yves Colin-Morey Bâtard-Montrachet Grand Cru (1.5L) (95VN, 95WS, 94BH, 93ST). Vinous: "There is just one barrel of the 2009 Bâtard-Montrachet, which is a shame, as the wine is marvelous. This is a breathtaking, rich Bâtard endowed with layers of expressive fruit. Minerals and all sorts of crushed rocks frame the intensely pointed, chiseled finish. The Bâtard remains fresh, vibrant and weightless in a kaleidoscopic, dazzling style that only great white Burgundy is capable of delivering. (AG)" (08/2011)
