Marta Castro produces this tasty Albariño from vines located in the Salnes Valley town of Ribadumia, just a bit inland from Cambados. Given 5 months of lees ageing in the tank, this is an albariño with juicy stone fruit flavors, a round texture and well balanced acidity. Delicious, representative and good value in Albariño.

From the hillsides of Condado do Tea including an extraordinary plot with 75-year-old vines on slate soils. This is unique both because of the age of the vines, but also the slate component (most of the rest of the DO is granite soils). The cooler, higher elevation Condado do Tea sub-region gives rise to a fresh, precise expression of Albariño in general, and this particular site lends an intense mineral streak through the wine.
