About this producer: "Standing above the village of Flassans-sur-Isole, in the heart of the hills of the Var, the Commanderie de Peyrassol was founded in the 13th century by the Knights Templar. This great expanse of fertile soil was a popular staging post and a place of rest for large numbers of pilgrims setting off for the Holy Land. As one of the jewels of Provence, the domaine has always maintained its agricultural and winegrowing traditions."

2018 Olema Côtes de Provence Rosé

From the winery: "The 2018 Olema Rose continued in the tradition of the previous vintages. Made in the Côtes de Provence in the village of Vidauban in a true Provence Rosé style, this wine is crisp, dry and has the perfect balance of color, body and bouquet. Soaring aromatics of watermelon, strawberry, raspberry and rose petal jump from the glass. Flavors of cherry, watermelon and hints of kirsch lead to a wonderful burst of refreshing acidity on the finish. 2017 Franck Millet Sancerre Rosé

The wines of this family domaine have been a staple here at K&L since the 1994 vintage when Franck and Betty Millet drove a long way (to Beaune!) on Easter Sunday to meet Clyde and crew to present their wines. We love these wines for their freshness, charm and affordability. The Millet Sancerre rosé is very pretty with flavors of tea, white cherry and watermelon, backed by a hint of strawberry on the finish.

2018 Pedro Martinez Alesanco Rosado Rioja

Based in the Rioja Alta village of Badarán, Martínez Alesanco is a truly original bodega producing tasty, characterful wine for laughably low prices. They grow all their own grapes in their home village of Badarán, one of the coldest zones of Rioja Alta. The vineyards are closer to the Sierra de la Demanda mountains, a range whose elevation and visible snow covered peaks are even more dramatic than the Sierra Cantabria range to the north. Martínez Alesanco's Rosado is made from Garnacha and white Viura grapes in a typical "clarete" style for which this ...

We were first introduced to the wines of Eric Cottat a few years back. He was brought to our attention by one of our long-time friends and winemakers in Sancerre and we brought in a small amount as that was all we were allowed to take at the time. Eric is a one-man show and only produces a small amount of wines each vintage for family, friends, and close customers, and then sells the rest of his fruit off to other eager producers in the region. His Pinot Noir rosé is light in color, and reliably features crunchy strawberries on the nose with chalky miner ...

Fabien Collange is a young winemaker from Beaujoalis who we met on our recent trip to the region and who presented us with a rosé of Gamay that absolutely knocked our socks off. There is no pretense in his approach to winemaking; his goals are to create terroir-driven wines that are both fun and enjoyable. This is a wine that's fresh, crisp, and clean on the palate with a supple weight and pure flavors of fresh strawberries and spice. Clean, and crisp with excellent acidity - harmonious and persistent. The Azul y Garanza vineyards begin in the lunar landscaped Bardenas Reales Natural Park. Amats is both the brand name of the Txakoli as well as one of Zudugarai's vineyards. It's a beautiful vineyard, a sandy substrate covered in naturally growing green cover between the rows, with the Cantabrian Sea in full view to the north. Produced from Hondarribi Beltza grapes, this rosé shows a lovely balance between fresh red berries, hints of watermelon, a very subtle, pleasant bitterness and fizzy quality. 2018 Mount Edward Pinot Noir Rosé Central Otago

90-91 points James Suckling: "A dry, savory style that has light dried-flower and berry aromas. The palate is dry and textural with good energy and punchy, smooth drive. Grown-up wine." (10/2018) K&L Notes: Coming from a single block of the Muirkirk vineyard, the grapes are picked specifically to make Rosé. One hundred percent Pinot Noir grapes spending 2-3 hours on the skins before being drained off, creates a wine of refreshing acidity and a lovely smooth texture. Nothing tutti frutti here. 2018 Bedrock Wine Company "Ode to Lulu" California Rosé

Winemaker's notes: "Composed of 55% old vine Mataro and 45% old vine Grenache, Ode to Lulu is our love letter to the Bandol rosé we love so much. The Mataro is sourced from the sandy soils and own-rooted vines of Oakley along with a dash of 1920s-planted fruit from the famed Pagani Ranch. The deliciously feral and wild Mataro element is enlivened by Grenache planted in the 1880s at Gibson Ranch in Mendocino’s McDowell Valley.
