98 points Bob Campbell: "Very aromatic pinot noir, with delicate cherry and violet characters on the nose. The palate continues that theme with added chalky mineral and a suggestion of fresh herbs. An elegant, supple wine showing extraordinary power as evidenced by its lengthy finish. Deliciously approachable now but with obvious cellaring potential. " (08/2016) 98 points James Suckling: "The aromatic layering here is impressive, where plenty of toasty, spicy, cinnamon-scented French timber is played into rich red and dark cherries as well as a brambly...

92 points Allen Meadows - Burghound: "This is quite densely fruited with an unusually expressive mélange of violet, plum, red and black currant, tea and plenty of earth elements. There is very fine volume and plenty of power to the reasonably well-detailed and muscular flavors that delivers outstanding length on the youthfully austere and saline suffused finish. While I envision that markedly more depth will develop there is enough underlying material present that if it does then my predicted score may very well be too conservative as this is very good. ...

95 points Bob Campbell: "Appealing aromatic pinot noir with cherry, violet, chalky mineral flavours together with a subtle seasoning of fresh herbs. Elegant wine with purity and poise." (08/2016) 94 points James Suckling: "The Old Weka Pass Road pinot from the 2013 vintage is very much reflective of the same DNA seen in the Bell Hill bottling from the same vintage, but only a lighter and more transparent rendering. It delivers redder cherry-fruit aromas, and is quite fragrant and pure, but less of the darker fruits and swanky oak-derived overtones. The...

92-94 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2013 Pinot Noir Little Hill tastes like unmanipulated, super-concentrated black cherry and black raspberry juice. Little oak is noticeable, and the wine offers stunning purity, texture and length. Perfumed and intense but not the least bit heavy, with no component out of balance, this wine will require patience. Give it several years of bottle age and drink it over the following 10-15 years. (RP) 92-94+ " (12/2014) 94 points Vinous: "The Rochioli 2013 Pinot Noir Little Hill is one of the most structured ...

90-93 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The seductive, deep ruby-hued 2013 Pinot Noir Sweetwater offers up lots of kirsch, flower and black fruit aromas. Tom Rochioli has brilliantly pulled off the harvest and fermentation as the tannins are wonderfully sweet and well-integrated, and the influence of new oak is delicate. Lush, opulent and already delicious, this wine should drink well for 5-7 years. (RP)" (12/2014) 92 points Vinous: "Rochioli 2013 Pinot Noir Sweetwater is exotic, perfumed and full of nuance. Rose petal, orange zest, spice and mint...

90 points Allen Meadows - Burghound: "This is also very ripe with liqueur-like aromas of red cherry and cassis that exhibit top notes of spice and exotic tea. There is excellent volume to the delicious, suave and very round medium weight flavors that possess very good mid-palate concentration, all wrapped in a lush, even opulent finish that is sufficiently forward that this should drink well on the younger side." (04/2015) 90 points Wine Spectator: "Pretty, with cherry, strawberry and spice flavors matched to an elegant frame. Pure and balanced, this s...

91 points Allen Meadows - Burghound: "Here the slightly more expressive nose is both ripe yet cool with its ultra-fresh nose that is composed by pure essence of red cherry where additional aromatic latitude is present in the form of earth, spice, violet and a hint of game. I very much like the intensity and mid-palate density to the tautly muscular but not really rustic middle weight plus flavors that display a touch of salinity on the dusty, balanced an impressively persistent finish where an unusual amount of spice surfaces. This too is worth a look. *...

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2013 Kosta Browne "Gap's Crown Vineyard" Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir (94RP, 93VN, 92WS, 91CG). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "From a large vineyard (Gap's Crown is roughly 130 acres), the 2013 Pinot Noir Gap's Crown Vineyard comes from a smaller 37-acre parcel owned by Kosta Browne, which lies at an elevation of 1,000 feet above sea level. Harvest all towards the end of September and aged 16 months in 51% new French oak, it has a slightly darker slant in its wild strawberry, black raspberry, spice and sappy flower stem-like aromas and flavors. Elegant, seamless and downright pretty, it grows on you with time in the glass and is a gorgeous Pinot Noir to drink over the coming decade. (JD)" (10/2015)
Starting Bid: $195.00

Bid on this 5-bottle lot of 2013 Sea Smoke "Ten" Sta. Rita Hills Pinot Noir (95WE). Wine Enthusiast: "This is a top bottling from one of the appellation's first superstar wineries. Aromas of baked red cherry and red plum are dusted with nutmeg, clove and a crushed-slate minerality. The palate is lively with dried fennel, white sage and an earthy mintiness, which all give spice to the underlying base of ripe raspberry fruit. It's extremely delicious and deeply layered. (MK)" (11/2016)
Starting Bid: $425.00

Bid on this bottle of 2013 Domaine Jean Grivot Vosne-Romanée (91WE, 90WS). Wine Enthusiast: "This is a beautiful, silky wine with fine, delicate tannins. Ripe strawberry and red cherry fruits are embedded in the elegant structure that is already heralding a wine of richness as well as spice from wood aging. Drink from 2017 and at least until 2025. (RV)" (12/2015)
Starting Bid: $65.50

Bid on this bottle of 2013 Kosta Browne "Giusti Ranch" Russian River Valley Pinot Noir (95RP, 94VN, 92WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "From the Russian River Valley and the newest single vineyard from this team (the first vintage was 2012), the 2013 Pinot Noir Giusti Vineyard is another big, rich, full-flavored Pinot Noir that gives up slightly lifted notes of dark fruits, graphite and peppery spice. Almost completely destemmed and aged 16 months in 40% new French oak, it’s a sensational Pinot Noir with terrific purity in its concentrated, layered and textured personality. It's superb today, but will cruise through at least 2023. (JD)" (10/2015)
Starting Bid: $70.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2013 Cobb "Coastlands Vineyard" Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir (92RP, 92VN). Vinous: "The 2013 Pinot Noir Coastlands Vineyard opens with a rush of exotic aromatics. Orange peel, star anise, cinnamon, mint and dried flowers soar out of the glass. The 50-60% whole clusters add intense aromatics. The 2013 is heavily reduced, but it starts to find its focus with time in the glass. Ross Cobb gave the 2013 30 months in barrel, which is quite long for Pinot. Readers should expect a wild, eccentric wine that is a sort of roller coaster. There is certainly no shortage of intrigue or personality. If opened young, the 2013 needs quite a bit of oxygen. The 2013 is a blend of fruit from the 1906 and Old First blocks. (AG)" (03/2017)
Starting Bid: $120.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2013 Williams Selyem "Calegari Vineyard" Russian River Valley Pinot Noir (95WE, 92VN, 91BH, 90RP, 90W&S). Wine Enthusiast: "Woody, herbal and resplendent in forest-floor pine and sandalwood, this is a complex, earthy and medium-bodied wine. It's low in oak, and revelatory in cool-climate seductions of pomegranate, cranberry and rhubarb compote. The finish is all black tea, with still-developing tannin structure and power. (VB)" (05/2016)
Starting Bid: $100.00

Bid on this bottle of 2013 Domaine Hubert Lignier Gevrey-Chambertin 1er Cru "Aux Combottes" ((92-94RP), 92VN). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2013 Gevrey Chambertin 1er Cru les Combottes, which was bought by Hubert Lignier way back in 1959, has an enticing bouquet that offers vanilla-tinged red cherry and crushed strawberry fruit. The palate is medium-bodied with considerable weight in the mouth. The tannins form a more masculine finish than the nose suggest, but there is sufficient fruit here to see it age over many years. Excellent. (NM)" (12/2014)
Starting Bid: $130.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2013 Williams Selyem "Estate Vineyard" Russian River Valley Pinot Noir (96CG, 95WE, 94RP, 93VN, 91WS). Connoisseurs Guide: "Taking its place at the top of the Williams Selyem roster of outstanding 2013 Pinots, this lovely offering exhibits the uncanny combination of riveting richness and grace that only the finest renditions of the varietal can. It is at once both solid and genuinely elegant stuff with great vigor and verve and a sense of seamless integration from beginning to end. As is the case with so many of the winery's youthfully charming releases, it is a wine of so much immediate appeal that waiting will not come easy, but even a bit of patience will pay dividends as it gains complexity over time. *Three Stars*" (02/2016)
Starting Bid: $140.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2013 Williams Selyem "Allen Vineyard" Russian River Valley Pinot Noir (96WE, 93VN, 92BH, 90RP). Wine Enthusiast: "A vineyard for both Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, Allen is exquisitely detailed in this textured bottling that’s weighty, with a tannin backdrop and replete with savory fruit. Wild strawberry, Bing cherry and black tea stand out, with an undercurrent of lushness that’s hard to resist. *Editors’ Choice* (VB)" (05/2016)
Starting Bid: $126.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2013 Domaine Perrot Minot Charmes-Chambertin Grand Cru Vieilles Vignes ((92-94BH), (91-93RP), 93WS, 92VN). Allen Meadows - Burghound: "A wonderfully expressive and layered nose is more complex if not quite as elegant though here too there are soft floral nuances to the red cherry, pomegranate, plum and earth scents. There is a similar sense of refinement to the slightly larger-scaled flavors that are shaped by remarkably fine-grained tannins on the precise, saline and lingering finale. This is a Charmes of finesse that embodies what I like to call power without weight. In a word, lovely." (01/2015)
Starting Bid: $440.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2013 Vincent & Sophie Morey Santenay 1er Cru "Les Gravières". Allen Meadows - Burghound: "Tasting note: The wood treatment is noticeably less subtle as the mildly toasty and menthol-infused nose struggles to reveal the otherwise very fresh aromas of red and dark currant along with earth and spice nuances. There is a terrific sense of underlying tension as the freshness of the nose carries over to the palate, all wrapped in a slightly rustic finish that is mildly austere and dry. This is on the woody side and the balance isn't ideal though to be fair, it's not terrible either." (04/2015)
Starting Bid: $90.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2013 Ojai Vineyard "Solomon Hills Vineyard" Santa Maria Valley Pinot Noir (96RP, 93VN, 91CG). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2013 Pinot Noir Solomon Hills is the star of the show in 2013 and is possibly the finest Pinot Noir I've tasted from this estate. All about its incredibly pure core of fruit, it still stays balanced, seamless and layered, with no hard edges and perfect integration of its fruit, acidity and tannin. Giving up lots of black raspberry, strawberry, Bing cherry and floral notes, this is one Pinot Noir to not miss! (JD)" (08/2015)
