2019 Kalinda Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir
Top Pick!
This wine comes from one of the more renowned Pinot Noir producers in Northern California. Really! But, we offer this beauty at a price much lower than what you’d pay at the winery, as for decades now, our Kalinda private label has been providing K&L customers with awesome wines at a fraction of what they'd normally pay under the producers' mainstay labels. Naturally, no producer wants their wines on the market for less than what they'd usually sell for, so the trade-off is anonymity.

2019 Kistler "Les Noisetiers" Sonoma Coast Chardonnay
Top Pick!
Few names are synonymous with California Chardonnay the way Kistler is. This winery raised the bar in Sonoma to heights not seen before and continues their legacy uninterrupted. The Les Noisetiers is a combination of their Sonoma Coast sites (Vine Hill Vineyard, Dutton Ranch, and Trenton Roadhouse) and emphasizes the area’s sandy Goldridge soils. The vinification draws on techniques used in Burgundy. The result is a luxurious and complex bottle that possesses a minerality which is rare in New World Chardonnay.

Jeb Dunnuck: "Lots of exotic tropical fruits, pineapple, flowers, and honeyed orange notes emerge from the 2019 Chardonnay Sonoma County. It’s a medium-bodied, nicely textured, fruit-froward Chardonnay to enjoy in its youth." (01/2021)

92 points James Suckling: "Crushed-strawberry, cherry, lemon-zest, button-mushroom and cedar aromas. It’s medium-bodied with silky tannins and bright acidity. Bright, pure-fruit layers lead to an energetic finish." (02/2021) Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Medium ruby-purple colored, the 2019 Pinot Noir Olema rolls easily out of the glass with notes of raspberry pie, warm cranberries and pomegranate plus hints of roses and Darjeeling tea. Medium to full-bodied, the palate is packed with juicy red fruit flavors and floral sparks, offering a plush textur...

Winemaker's Notes: "Bybee Vineyard is located in the Sonoma Coast AVA, just outside of the town of Sebastopol on Mill Station Road. It is farmed in an extremely hands-on, "beyond-organic" fashion that includes organic compost and use of stylet oil as a fungicide with few other applications. Ya Moon is comprised of a variety of Pinot clones including 114, 777, 667 and Pommard. This wine was carbonically fermented in small stainless steel tanks over 10 days. Bottled in the December, this wine aged for short time in stainless steel to preserve the bright in...

Bibiana González Rave crafts wines from two very different worlds: from her native Columbia under the Cattleya (the national flower of Columbia) label, and from Sonoma under the Alma de Cattleya label. Tasting notes from the producer: "The fruit for our Chardonnay is grown in vineyards between the Russian River and the Sonoma Coast. The coastal influence provides the right balance of acidity, texture, softness, and length. Fruit is harvested by hand at night and is immediately taken to the winery for gentle pressing. The juice is transferred to both neut...

90 points Wine Spectator: "Distinctive and elegant, with transparent and focused flavors of lemon curd, orange blossom and pomelo set on a light and crisp frame. Delicate details of fresh ginger and lemon verbena linger on the finish. Drink now. 280 cases made. (MW)" (08/2020) K&L Notes: Winery notes: Horse & Plow is a small, family run winery based in Sebastopol, California. We work exclusively with growers who are committed to superior quality by using certified organic and/ or biodynamic techniques. These sustainable practices allow us to craft wine...

Kokomo take the utmost care in making this wine and it is consistently one of my favorite domestic Sauv Blancs. Made from multiple picks of grapes to blend racy acidity from the earlier picks with riper flavors and textures from the later picks. The result is a beautifully balanced wine with layers of flavor and great persistence. The wine is also rested in Acacia wood barrles to give a subtle spice and floral character to the wine. Delish! (Ryan Woodhouse - K&L Domestic Wine Buyer)

90 points Wine Enthusiast: "Made in a rich, likable style, this Pinot Noir Blanc is light in color and quenching in strawberry, melon and peach. Fleshy and lush, it delivers bold, robust layers of flavor and velvety texture. (VB)" (12/2020)

97 points James Suckling: "Aromas of green mango, cooked pear, lemon curd and quince. Lemon wax, flint and toasted almonds, too. It’s full-bodied with a creamy, oily texture. Dense and phenolic with fantastic concentration. Yet, it remains agile and always so balanced and focused. 90% sauvignon blanc and 10% semillon." (01/2021) 93 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2019 Sauvignon Blanc l'Apres Midi is composed of 90% Sauvignon Blanc (one-third is Musque Clone) and 10% Semillon, grown alongside Les Pavots in Knights Valley. Due to issues with f...

94 points Wine Enthusiast: "This lovely, crisp wine is fermented in stainless steel. Herb, cedar and garrigue elements meet a juicy, sublime midapalate, finishing on highlights of lemon peel and cassis. (VB)" (08/2020)

94 points James Suckling: "Aromas of crushed raspberries, brambleberries, violets, orange zest and dried herbs. It’s medium-to full-bodied with sleek, fine tannins. Wonderfully bright, succulent and flavorful with mineral and saline hints on the finish. Delicious." (02/2021)

93 points Wine Enthusiast: "Balanced between crisp and complex tropical fruit, citrus and dried herb, this barrel fermented white is well-defined on the palate. While deft in approach, it still has weight and breadth as well as a lingering spice note on the finish. (VB)" (09/2020) K&L Notes: From Dry Stack Vineyard in Bennett Valley. 4% Semillon. Barrel fermented.

Winery Notes: "This well-balanced Sauvignon Blanc is sourced from cooler vineyards in the southern end of the Sonoma Coast AVA. The Hi-Vista vineyard in western Carneros and the Grossi vineyard north of Petaluma contribute spice and bright tangy acidity. The Leveroni vineyard south of Sonoma contributes the unique floral character of the Sauvignon "musque" clone. The resulting blend has a bouquet of nectarine and grapefruit zest, leading to lush fruit flavors of kiwi, lime and grapefruit. It finishes with a refreshing minerality and zesty acidity. 82% ag...

91 points Wine Enthusiast: "A perennial bright star, this white opens on tones of lemon rind, stone and lychee. Textured and lively in acidity, it has complexity and approachability in equal measure. (VB)" (08/2020) Connoisseurs Guide: "Dry Creek Vineyard has long been a reliable source of very good Sauvignon Blancs that are as affordable as they are well made and tasty, and the latest from 2019 continues the winery’s notable string of successes. Its well-defined aromas of melons and limes are laced with a judicious bit of fresh grass, and its like-min...

92 points Jeb Dunnuck: "Checking in as a blend of 73% Zinfandel, 13% Petite Sirah, 10% Carignan, and the rest Mataro and Alicante Bouschet, the 2019 Three Valleys has a juicy blackberry, mulberry, orange blossom, violet, and flowery incense-driven bouquet. This gives way to a medium-bodied wine with a soft, elegant texture, sweet tannins, and just an undeniably delicious, gulpable, balanced style that's impossible to resist. " (01/2021)
