Andrew Jones learned to make wine from the ground up. He started as a vine nursery fieldman, planting and planning vineyards for wineries all over California. This gave him firsthand knowledge of nearly every vineyard on the Central Coast and a knack for finding "diamonds in the rough." Meanwhile, he was building friendships with some great California growers, who'd often offer him small lots of their best grapes on the side. From these beginnings he has built a catalog of delicious, affordable wines that hum with personality.

This 100% Zinfandel is sourced from the Riverstar, Rancho Arroyo Grande, and Hinterland Vineyards in Paso Robles. The wine is aged in American oak barrels (20% new) for nine months. ABV is 14.4%. The winery says of the vintage: "Black cherry and cinnamon on the nose with images of sugar plum fairies dancing through your head. Some hints of black tea and plum skin as you take your first sip, leaving you grateful for Paso’s precious Zin."
