Bid on this 4-bottle lot of 1995 Dominique Laurent Gevrey-Chambertin Vieilles Vignes ((90-93RP)). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "I tasted the fabulous, ruby/purple-colored Gevrey-Chambertin Vieilles Vignes prior to its being transferred from a previously used barrel into a new one. Revealing superbly well-defined aromatics of sweet cherries and herbs, this exceptionally well-made wine possesses a full-bodied, thick, concentrated and lively core of red berry fruit. The outstanding score I have given this wine may appear overly conservative after it has acquired additional complexity and nuanced flavors from aging in the new oak barrels. (PR)" (06/1997)
