1994 Miltonduff 24 Year Old "Old Particular" K&L Exclusive Single Barrel Cask Strength Single Malt Whisky (750ml)

The strikingly underappreciated Miltonduff distillery is unique in so many ways. Built on the site of an old mill for the Pluscarden Abbey, the distillery's old stone buildings hide one of Speyside's most delicious malts. Originally a Priory founded by King Alexander II in 1230, the area became renowned for illicit distillation. Originally licensed in 1824, the name, Milton, was taken from a still that operated on the property. The Duff family owned the lands surrounding the abbey, hence the name Miltonduff. The malt became an important component of the ...

1994 Alejandro Fernandez "Tinto Pesquera" Ribera del Duero

95 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "I first wrote laudatory comments about Pesquera over a decade ago, so I am thrilled to see proprietor Alejandro Fernandez continue to build on his noteworthy track record. His new releases are splendid. It is no secret that 1994 is one of the greatest vintages in the last 30 years for northern Spain. Pesquera's 1994 Tinto Crianza is undoubtedly representative of the fabulous ripeness and intensity the grapes achieved. From its opaque purple color, to its extraordinary aromatics, which consist of melted chocolate, ...

1994 Matanzas Creek Sonoma Valley Merlot

92-95 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "So what's new? Matanzas Creek continues to turn out rich, concentrated Merlots that provide a reference point for what heights this grape can achieve in California. The 1994 possesses a saturated ruby/purple color, a flashy display of aromatics (chocolate, jammy red and black fruits, and vanilla), full body, loads of dense, thick, unctuously-textured flavors, low acidity, and a long, spicy, powerful finish. For its size, this wine keeps everything in perspective. (RP)" (04/1996) Wine Spectator: "Smooth and r ...

1994 Taylor Vintage Port

100 points James Suckling: "This is, to date, the greatest Vintage Port ever from here. It overwhelmed me years ago when I tasted it from barrel, but only now is it crossing gradually into its drinking window. The intensity is still mind-boggling here, with sweet-and-sour notes as well as mounds of clay. There are violets lurking somewhere too. A full-bodied, medium sweet and sublime Vintage Port, showing forest fruits and freshly picked blackberries on the palate in the form of a creamy, focused and tannic texture." (10/2014) 100 points Wine Spectator ...

1994 Ravenswood "Pickberry Vineyards" Sonoma Mountain Red

90 points Wine Spectator: "Tight and restrained, slowly unwinding to reveal its complexity and completeness with a band of earth, tar, currant and berry flavors that fill out on the palate. Not as tannic as this wine can be, it nonetheless needs another year or two in bottle to develop. Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc. Best after 1998." (03/97)

1994 Graham's Vintage Port

95 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 1994 Vintage Port is going to be re-released. It has about 100 grams per liter of residual sugar. With a big eucalyptus note up front, this is elegant in the mid-palate with controlled tannins. Sweet and easy in some ways, this is readily approachable now, perhaps not at peak, but more expressive than the relatively brooding Dow's, also reviewed. The hint of caramel and raisins mixed with sugar makes this irresistible. It is sexy and intriguing. (MS)" (10/2016) 95 points Vinous: "The 1994 Graham’s Vintage P ...

1994 Etude Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon

95 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Tony Soter's Cabernet Sauvignon has been a model of consistency. The awesomely rich 1994 Cabernet Sauvignon is another spectacular example of this splendid vintage. It possesses an opaque purple color, a wonderful sweetness, full body, and layers of cedary, mineral, and spice-tinged black berry and cassis fruit. Although there is a boatload of tannin, it is sweet and well-integrated. The finish lasts for nearly 30 seconds. This dazzling Cabernet Sauvignon gets my vote as the finest Cabernet Sauvignon Tony Soter h ...

1994 Silver Oak Alexander Valley Cabernet Sauvignon

93 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 1994 Cabernet Sauvignon Alexander Valley reveals a provocative nose of tobacco, black cherries, cloves, fruitcake, and spice. Some plum and raspberry fruit also emerges on the palate. This is a hedonistic, sexy, seductive, full-bodied Cabernet Sauvignon with low acidity, and loads of toasty oak. (RP)" (12/1997) Wine Spectator: "Combines ripe, rich, complex fruit with a sense of finesse and harmony. The core of anise, currant, sage and cedar unfolds to reveal more depth and complexity. Finishes with a long, ...

1994 Patheiger Kaseler Kehrnagel Riesling Auslese Mosel (500ml)

Peter Geiben is the brains behind both the Patheiger and Karlsmühle estates. In Robert Parker's 7th Wine Buying guide, he praised the winemaker: "In the late 1980s, Peter Geiven decided to see how high he could raise the quality at his family's estate (site of a Roman stone-cutting mill), which includes the excellent monopole Lorenzhofer vineyards and holdings in the great Kaseler Nies'chen. He has never looked back, and his wines have often challenged those of his more famous Ruwer neighbors. The acquisition of the Patheiger estate with its outstanding ...

1994 Silver Oak Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon

93 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 1994 Cabernet Sauvignon Napa (89% Cabernet Sauvignon and 11% Cabernet Franc) reveals toasty sweet oak in the nose, bombastic levels of black currant fruit and spice along with a hint of mint in the background. (RP)" (12/1998) 91 points Wine Spectator: "Dark, plush and concentrated, with a decided coconut and oak accent mixed with complex plum and berry flavors. Finishes with a rich, focused, generous aftertaste, with fine length. Deftly balanced. (JL)" (11/2004)

1994 Dow Vintage Port (1.5L)

97 points Wine Spectator: "A blackstrap, powerful Port. Black, with intense aromas of raspberries, raisins, flowers and stems. Full-bodied and medium sweet, with a long, rich finish. Tannins pull at your palate. A wine for the future.--Dow vertical. Best after 2008. (JS)" (12/1999) 96 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 1994 Vintage Port is set for re-release. It has about 92 grams per liter of residual sugar. It's a beauty, with all that Dow power and structure that I've loved over the years--even after some hours of decanting. Intensely concen ...

1994 Araujo "Eisele Vineyard" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (1.5L) Bin Soiled Label

95 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "A wine that combines the extraordinary power and richness of this hot area of Napa, with stunning purity and delineation. The 1994 Cabernet Sauvignon Eisele Vineyard is just beginning to emerge from a period of post-bottling dormancy. Like its siblings, it exhibits an impressively saturated dark purple color. This wine is intent on revealing its charms at a relatively early age given its knock-out aromatics. Although slightly less powerful than the 1993 and marginally less concentrated than the 1995, the 1994 is ...

1994 Léoville-Las-Cases, St-Julien

92-94 points Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "Excellent deep, saturated color. Sexy aromas of black cherry, cassis, and toasty, smoky oak. Wonderful sweetness and texture, with terrific perfume. More pliable than the '95 Las Cases. Tannins are extremely well integrated for a cabernet-based '94. I don't find the austerity that Delon cites. " (05/1996) 93 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Michel Delon, a great man, is the consummate proprietor, meticulously administering this vast estate spread out along the St.-Julien/Pauillac border, s ...

Through the Grapevine has taken the Scottish independent bottler model to the Charentes scouring the chais there for special casks and small batch blends. This amazing single cask from Fanny Fougerat is one of the few vintage Cognac available and represents 4 generations of experience producing brandy. The Fougerat family has long produced super high quality cognac to be sold to the large houses, in particular Martell, but in 2013 the Fanny the next in line to take over the business, began her own line. 1994 Sine Qua Non "Queen of Spades" Syrah
Bid on this bottle of 1994 Sine Qua Non "Queen of Spades" Syrah (92WS). Wine Spectator: "Dark enough to remind you of a barrel sample, and while you might expect it to be tannic, it's not. It is delicious, though, with tiers of ripe black cherry, currant, anise and spice. Finishes with a complex smoky edge. Drinkable now, but worthy of cellaring short-term. Debut release for this winery. 100 percent Syrah. " (11/1996)

1994 L'Arrosee, St-Emilion
Bid on this bottle of 1994 L'Arrosee, St-Emilion. Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "A deep ruby color and reluctant aromatics suggest a wine in a dormant state. On the palate, the wine offers little charm, but it does possess dense, medium-bodied, concentrated, but closed and tannic flavors. The wine should evolve well, although the tough tannin apparent after bottling could prove troublesome in 7-8 years. Give the 1994 L'Arrosee 2-4 more years of cellaring; it should last for 15 years. 1994 Dominus "Napanook Vineyard" Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 1994 Dominus "Napanook Vineyard" Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (99RP, 95DC, 93VN, 91WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Christian Moueix and his talented winemaking team continue to rewrite the definition of a Napa Valley reference point wine. I have had a difficult time keeping the corks in my bottles of 1994 Dominus. Eight-thousand cases were produced from a blend of 70% Cabernet Sauvignon, 14% Cabernet Franc, 12% Merlot, and 4% Petit Verdot. In this vintage, 174 days passed between bud break and the harvest, a remarkable period of time for any wine region in the world. The 1994 is a strikingly thick, compellingly rich wine with the texture of a great Pomerol, despite being made primarily from Cabernet Sauvignon. The wine exhibits a dense purple color, and an incredibly fragrant nose of jammy black fruits, spice, smoke, and loamy, truffle-like scents. In the mouth, it is full-bodied, with thrilling levels of extract and richness, but no sense of heaviness or
