1994 Miltonduff 24 Year Old "Old Particular" K&L Exclusive Single Barrel Cask Strength Single Malt Whisky (750ml) Top Pick!
1994 Miltonduff 24 Year Old "Old Particular" K&L Exclusive Single Barrel Cask Strength Single Malt Whisky (750ml)

The strikingly underappreciated Miltonduff distillery is unique in so many ways. Built on the site of an old mill for the Pluscarden Abbey, the distillery's old stone buildings hide one of Speyside's most delicious malts. Originally a Priory founded by King Alexander II in 1230, the area became renowned for illicit distillation. Originally licensed in 1824, the name, Milton, was taken from a still that operated on the property. The Duff family owned the lands surrounding the abbey, hence the name Miltonduff. The malt became an important component of the ...Read More »

1994 Graham's Vintage Port

95 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 1994 Vintage Port is going to be re-released. It has about 100 grams per liter of residual sugar. With a big eucalyptus note up front, this is elegant in the mid-palate with controlled tannins. Sweet and easy in some ways, this is readily approachable now, perhaps not at peak, but more expressive than the relatively brooding Dow's, also reviewed. The hint of caramel and raisins mixed with sugar makes this irresistible. It is sexy and intriguing. (MS)" (10/2016) 95 points Vinous: "The 1994 Graham’s Vintage P ...Read More »

1994 Dow's Vintage Port Back In Stock!
1994 Dow's Vintage Port

97 points Wine Spectator: "A blackstrap, powerful Port. Black, with intense aromas of raspberries, raisins, flowers and stems. Full-bodied and medium sweet, with a long, rich finish. Tannins pull at your palate. A wine for the future. (JS)" (12/1999) 96 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 1994 Vintage Port is set for re-release. It has about 92 grams per liter of residual sugar. It's a beauty, with all that Dow power and structure that I've loved over the years--even after some hours of decanting. Intensely concentrated in flavor, without being ...Read More »

1994 Vineyard 29 (Grace Family) Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon

90 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "From a 3-acre vineyard, four hundred cases were produced of this 100% Cabernet Sauvignon. Aged for 22 months in 100% new French oak casks, it is a tightly-knit, black currant-scented wine with plenty of sweet oak, as well as powerful, rich flavors that have been melded into a restrained, elegant, authoritatively flavorful wine. Patience is mandatory as this black beauty needs 4-5 more years of cellaring; it should keep for two decades. (RP)" (12/1997) 90 points Wine Spectator: "Marked by spice, cedar and dill n ...Read More »

97 points Wine Spectator: "A blackstrap, powerful Port. Black, with intense aromas of raspberries, raisins, flowers and stems. Full-bodied and medium sweet, with a long, rich finish. Tannins pull at your palate. A wine for the future.--Dow vertical. Best after 2008. (JS)" (12/1999) 96 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 1994 Vintage Port is set for re-release. 1994 Dalla Valle Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon

94 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 1994 Cabernet Sauvignon, which I have drunk with great pleasure despite its backwardness, possesses a full-bodied, multi-layered personality, with plenty of tannin, but sufficient earthy, black currant/plum-like fruit to balance out the wine's structure. With an opaque purple color, a high tannin level, and gorgeous layers of fruit and intensity, it will be at its peak after 4-6 years of cellaring, and will last for 20-25 years. I don't think I need to reinforce the fact that these offerings are extremely dif ...Read More »

1994 Flora Springs "Hillside Reserve" Rutherford Cabernet Sauvignon Back In Stock!
1994 Flora Springs "Hillside Reserve" Rutherford Cabernet Sauvignon

96 points and a 'Highly Recommended' designation from Wine Spectator: "Displays all the ingredients for excellence, offering impressive meaty, smoky, oaky flavors before the leathery currant and dried cherry fold in. Young, dense and tightly wound, it needs time in the cellar, but the flavors build to a wonderful aftertaste." (10/97) 94 points Robert Parker: "The 1994 Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve exhibits an opaque purple color, a classic, cedar, blackcurrant, and earthy-scented nose, and rich, full-bodied flavors that ooze jammy blackcurrants. The wood i ...Read More »

1994 Léoville-Barton, St-Julien (375ml)

90 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "It is no secret that Anthony Barton's efforts over the last decade at his St.-Julien estate, Léoville-Barton, is resulting in terrific wines at still reasonable prices. This estate has been extremely successful in recent vintages. An impressive, serious, classic Bordeaux for collectors who are willing to forget about it for at least a decade, this well-endowed offering is a 30-year wine. The dense, murky, purple color, closed aromatics, massive flavor richness, and high tannin recall the old, non-compromised, bee ...Read More »

1994 Bodega Weinert "Tonel Unico" Malbec Mendoza

Given its large, well used assortment of wooden toneles and fouders, housed in a no frills winery in the heart of Mendoza's primera zona, it is easy to compare Weinert to such wine world traditionalist stalwarts as Lopez de Heredia in Rioja, or Lebanon's Chateau Musar (whose wines are brought in by Weinert's US importer). The famous tonel unico bottling is from a single, 60 year old Malbec vineyard, fermented and aged in a single tonel for 24 years prior to bottling. That's right, 24 years! A truly original bottling in the world of wine.

1994 Angélus, St-Emilion (3L) (Previously $1800)

93 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "In the new classification of St.-Emilion, justice was certainly served with the elevation of Angelus to premier grand cru classe status. No Bordeaux estate has been making as concentrated and consistently high quality wines as has Angelus since 1988. Even in the rain-plagued vintage of 1992, Angelus produced a wine of uncommon power, ripeness, and intensity. This estate is in many ways symbolic of what heights Bordeaux can achieve when a property is managed by someone as passionate and driven as Hubert de Bouard. ...Read More »

1994 Grand-Puy-Lacoste, Pauillac

90 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Grand-Puy-Lacoste is the drinker's Pauillac. It is not an investment wine (having been largely forgotten by the trophy hunters and investors looking to make a quick buck), although certain vintages (1982 and 1990) have tripled in price. Grand-Puy-Lacoste, usually loaded with character and personality, has enjoyed three fine vintages in 1993-95, with each of these years under-priced for such quality. The 1994 has turned out to be an outstanding effort for this estate. The wine reveals even more flesh than it did p ...Read More »

1994 Through The Grapevine "Fanny Fougerat" Single Cask Borderies Cognac(750ml)

Through the Grapevine has taken the Scottish independent bottler model to the Charentes scouring the chais there for special casks and small batch blends. This amazing single cask from Fanny Fougerat is one of the few vintage Cognac available and represents 4 generations of experience producing brandy. The Fougerat family has long produced super high quality cognac to be sold to the large houses, in particular Martell, but in 2013 the Fanny the next in line to take over the business, began her own line. Drawing from the families stocks they selected this ...Read More »

1994 Dominus Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 1994 Dominus Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (99RP, 95DC, 93VN). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Christian Moueix and his talented winemaking team continue to rewrite the definition of a Napa Valley reference point wine. I have had a difficult time keeping the corks in my bottles of 1994 Dominus. Eight-thousand cases were produced from a blend of 70% Cabernet Sauvignon, 14% Cabernet Franc, 12% Merlot, and 4% Petit Verdot. In this vintage, 174 days passed between bud break and the harvest, a remarkable period of time for any wine region in the world. The 1994 is a strikingly thick, compellingly rich wine with the texture of a great Pomerol, despite being made primarily from Cabernet Sauvignon. The wine exhibits a dense purple color, and an incredibly fragrant nose of jammy black fruits, spice, smoke, and loamy, truffle-like scents. In the mouth, it is full-bodied, with thrilling levels of extract and richness, but no sense of heaviness or harshness. This seamless
