1992 Silver Oak Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon

94 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The deeper purple-colored 1992 Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon, which is being released in February, 1997, does not exhibit any of the Alexander Valley's herbaceous side. It offers more of the classic blackcurrant, cedar character. There is plenty of high quality, sexy, smoky oak in the nose to go along with copious quantities of jammy black fruits. Full-bodied, with a creamy texture, and a sweet, expansive, chewy mid-section, this dense, exceptionally rich 1992 will provide gorgeous drinking for 12-15 years. Thes ...

1992 Quinta do Infantado "Estate Bottled" Vintage Port

95 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "There were only 1,000 cases produced of the 1992 Vintage Port, and they are not likely to languish on retailers' shelves. A saturated, black/purple color is followed by a huge, ripe, pure nose of jammy blackberry and cassis fruit that is vaguely reminiscent of such great 1990 Hermitages as Chapoutier's Le Pavillon, Jaboulet's La Chapelle, or Chave's red label Cuvee Cathelin. Awesome concentration, massive body, an unctuous texture oozing with fruit, glycerin, and extract, and a blockbuster finish all suggest this ...

Top Pick!
1992 Taylor Vintage Port

100 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Taylor's 1992 Vintage Port is unquestionably the greatest young port I have ever tasted. It represents the essence of what vintage port can achieve. The color is an opaque black/purple, and the nose offers up fabulously intense aromas of minerals, cassis, blackberries, licorice, and spices, as well as extraordinary purity and penetration. Yet this is still an unformed and infantile wine. If Chateau Latour made a late-harvest Cabernet Sauvignon, I suspect it might smell like this. In the mouth, the wine is out of ...

1992 Silver Oak Alexander Valley Cabernet Sauvignon

92 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 1992 Alexander Valley Cabernet Sauvignon was released in August, 1996, and was sold out within 24 hours. It possesses that tell-tale Silver Oak, lavishly oaky, Provencal herb, sweet, smoky, jammy black-cherry and cassis-scented nose. Full-bodied, opulent, and succulent, this creamy-textured, luscious, low acid wine should continue to drink well for 10-12+ years. These All-American Cabernet Sauvignons continue to be "can't miss" propositions with the majority of Cabernet lovers. (RP)" (12/1996)

1992 Hess Collection Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon

Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 1992 Cabernet Sauvignon reveals a healthy dark ruby/purple color, a light intensity nose of red and black fruits and spice, medium body, soft, rich fruit, some tart acidity, and a clean, fresh, lively, lightly tannic finish. (RP)" (02/1996)

1992 Stag's Leap Wine Cellars "Fay" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (high shoulder fill/torn rear label)

93 points Robert Parker: "The 1992 Cabernet Sauvignon Fay Vineyard is outstanding. It possesses a sweet, alluring bouquet, a deep, saturated color, and a seductive fragrance matched by flattering, rich, opulent flavors that cascade over the palate. The acidity is sound. The wine exhibits wonderful concentration, as well as loads of rich fruit....This winery enjoys a much deserved fine reputation for its bevy of complex, elegant, authoritatively flavorful red wines, particularly the Fay Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon and the Cask 23 Proprietary Red Wine, the ...

1992 Jordan Alexander Valley Cabernet Sauvignon

Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "This narrowly constructed, slightly herbal, redcurrant-scented wine reveals plenty of earth and tannin, in addition to high acidity. At present the wine is narrow and compressed, but it is cleanly made, and will undoubtedly open over the next 3-4 years. (RP)" (10/1996) K&L Notes: While Jordan's Alexander Valley Cabernet has been a favorite among restauranteurs and diners across the nation, this famously cuisine-friendly wine doesn't always earn the highest marks from the critics looking for more fruit and power. For many ...

1992 Etude Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon

93 points Wine Spectator: "Remarkably supple, complex and integrated, with a seamless core of ripe, spicy black cherry, currant, mocha, menthol and blackberry. Unfolds to reveal extra flavor nuances and finishes with a long, rich aftertaste and enough tannin to merit further cellaring. (JL)" (05/2003) 91 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "I had a chance to do a mini-vertical of the Etude Cabernet Sauvignons, and all of them performed extremely well. Most of them appeared to need additional cellaring, and each of them suggested to me that they have ...

1992 Lopez de Heredia Viña Tondonia Rioja

Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "Good healthy red to the rim. Vinous, oaky aromas of strawberry, cinnamon and nut skin. Lively but dry and rather unforthcoming; seems a bit pinched today and quite tight on the back end. All sinew and acidity right now; should be decanted and served with a meal. (ST)" (11/1999)

1992 Longmorn 26 Year Old Signatory Single Barrel Cask Strength Single Malt Whisky 750ml

Longmorn is one of the stalwarts of the Scottish Highlands, a distillery that produces one of the most consistent and classically-flavored single malts in the business. Within the industry itself, it's a whisky heralded for its value and its ability to play well with others in a blend. There is only one widely-available officially branded version of Longmorn, which is why we often jump at the chance to snag a mature single cask when available. Known for its rich and creamy texture, flavors of honey and sweet malt, and a buttery, biscuity finish, few sing ...

1992 Ridge "Jimsomare" Santa Cruz Mountains Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 1992 Ridge "Jimsomare" Santa Cruz Mountains Cabernet Sauvignon. Jimsomare is one of the principle vineyard properties that make up Ridge Vineyards' Monte Bello estate. First planted in the late 19th century, there are few rows of Zinfandel vines dating to that time, but the property was replanted to Bordeaux varietals beginning in 1968. As a source of fruit for the famously long-lived Monte Bello estate wines from Ridge, this high elevation, cool climate vineyard is eminently capable of producing seriously ageworthy wines on its own.

1992 Louis Latour Bâtard-Montrachet Grand Cru
Bid on this bottle of 1992 Louis Latour Bâtard-Montrachet Grand Cru (92RP). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 1992 Batard-Montrachet is richer and more impressive than the 1992 Bienvenue Batard-Montrachet. This highly extracted, unctuously-textured, succulent wine is loaded with fruit, glycerin, alcohol, and body. (RP)" (10/1993)

1992 Domaine Ramonet Bienvenues Batard-Montrachet Grand Cru
Bid on this bottle of 1992 Domaine Ramonet Bienvenues Batard-Montrachet Grand Cru (93BH). Allen Meadows - Burghound: "(opened from personal storage; and thanks to Dr. Mike Chen). A fully mature, highly complex and expressive nose that displays plenty of the classic honeysuckle notes with only the barest trace of botrytis leads to gorgeous medium-bodied and equally complex flavors that possess an opulent mouth feel as well as terrific persistence. While not as powerful as the '92 Bâtard (see herein), this is extremely impressive and seemingly like all of the Ramonet grands crus, this should continue to hold for many years. I have enjoyed consistent experiences with the '92 BBM save for one recent bottle (not from my cellar) that displayed distinct notes of oxidation and was clearly tiring if not undrinkable; likewise, another bottle tasted in November 2017 was slightly dirty and not what it should have been." 1992 Etienne Sauzet Montrachet Grand Cru
Bid on this bottle of 1992 Etienne Sauzet Montrachet Grand Cru (96BH). Allen Meadows - Burghound: "This has always been one of my favorite '92s and I was very excitied to see it in magnum format. As it turned out, it is really not all that much fresher than a well-stored 750 ml bottle (see herein). Deep golden color. A sensational and fully mature nose features subtle spice hints with highly complex aromas of pear, peach and white flower and only a trace of the exoticism that marks so many wines from this vintage. The big, rich, powerful and still impressively vibrant full-bodied flavors brim with dry extract that coats the palate and completely buffers the firm acid spine that provides shape and focus for the explosively long finish. This is a classic Montrachet that is still drinking well though I underscore that even in magnum format it's time to drink up." (04/2017)
