Bid on this bottle of 1987 Valentini Montepulciano d'Abruzzo. Antonio Galloni writes: "Valentini is one of Italy’s most iconic producers. Tiny production, fabulous reputation and limited distribution means the wines are very well known and fiercely sought by cognoscenti but otherwise virtually unknown, at least in this country."
Starting Bid: $240.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 1987 Caymus "Special Selection" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon. Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The Special Selection Cabernet Sauvignon, which spends significant time in oak, can be one of California's most riveting wines. First made in 1975, there have been some exceptionally concentrated, powerful wines that are still young and evolving....the 1987 is still an excellent wine with its rich, oaky, cassis and spicy nose, creamy-textured, medium to full-bodied flavors, and moderately long finish....Few wineries in the world can boast such an enviable record of consistent excellence as that of Caymus. There is no doubting that Cabernet Sauvignon is King at Caymus. (RP)" (10/1993)
Starting Bid: $375.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 1987 Dunn Howell Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon (97WS, 96VN, 94RP). Wine Spectator: "A powerful, young wine, even at age 10. Dark, ripe, intense and deeply concentrated, this one is years from peaking. Packed with a rich, earthy core of currant, mineral, anise, sage and cedar. Quite tannic in this tasting, the fruit poured through on the finish. (JL)" (12/1997)
