Bottled: October 2018 49yrs in Oak Barrels. 60% Baco, 40% Ugni Blanc. From the producer: "The nose is typical for an armagnac of this age with aromas of leather, wax, gingerbread, licorice, and blond tobacco. Complex in flavors. 1969 The Last Drop Glenrothes Cask #16207 Single Malt Scotch Whisky (750ml)
New!
*Special Order Only* *Based on availability from distribution* Jim Murray’s tasting notes... Cask No. 16207: “It begins with a hint of sharp kiwi fruit. Ulmo honey and fudge prop up the sugars and embolden the chalkier vanillas present in this malt. Heather honey intertwines with the sturdier tannins and spices form (...); so much toasted fudge now. Sugars appear at just the right time and in just-so amounts to help create something rather special.” 96 points. Single Malt of the Year 2019 (Single Cask)
Price: $5,999.99

Bid on this bottle of 1969 Gaja Barbaresco. This Barbaresco is from the region's earlier beginnings as a serious red wine appellation. For the most part, Barbaresco was pretty much living in near total obscurity until the 1960s, when Giovanni Gaja (Angelo's father) began proving what could come of these vineyards. In the '70s, his son Angelo introduced single-vineyard offerings, and the rest is Italian wine history!
Starting Bid: $180.00

Over the generations, the Oddero family has gradually expanded its vineyards to today's impressive 60 hectares, many of which lie in the illustrious Barolo vineyards of Brunate, Rocche di Castiglione, Villero and Mondoca di Bussia.
