1967 Krohn's Vintage Port

Krohn's Vintage Ports come from a single harvest. Intense fruit, structure, color and flavor, these ports are bottled two years after the harvest and in many cases spend many years maturing in the bottle. In order to maintain richness and power they are neither fined nor filtered, therefore throwing a large amount of sediment as they mature. For this reason, they should be decanted before being served.

1967 Giuseppe Rinaldi Barolo Riserva Selezionata Brunata (1.5L) (Previously $2500)

The bottle is actually a 1.78L, we just don't have a built in size for this type of bottle! Antonio Galloni writes: "Giuseppe Rinaldi’s Barolos are among the rarest and most difficult wines to source, as they are rapidly snapped up by the estate’s loyal, long-time clients and rarely appear at auction, especially in meaningful quantities."

1967 de Pez, St-Estèphe (lightly bin soiled label, mid shoulder fill) Back In Stock!
1967 de Pez, St-Estèphe (lightly bin soiled label, mid shoulder fill)

According to Neal Martin: "Two sagacious wine commentators have very different opinions of Château de Pez. Whilst Robert Parker has little time for them, David Peppercorn has positive opinions on practically every vintage since the 1950's, even the 1965 and 1968. According to Peppercorn, de Pez is the best Saint Estephe Château outside the "big three" and perusing notes I am intrigued to taste these old vintages to see if he is correct (yes, even the 1965 - why not?)."

1967 Heitz "Martha's Vineyard" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this bottle of 1967 Heitz "Martha's Vineyard" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon. Wine Spectator: "With its unique mint, chocolate and rich, cedary currant flavors, Martha's Vineyard Cabernet has a signature flavor profile. It is also distinctive for its exquisite balance and ability to age. Although the wine's flavors are largely a function of the grape and vineyard, Joe Heitz's hand could be found in the winemaking style. He made sure the wine was rich, concentrated and balanced, which ensured that it would age well." (11/2003)
