2008 Alban "Reva" Edna Valley Syrah (1.5L)

96 points James Suckling: "Love the spice, game and dark berries, yet reserved and austere. Shows form and firmness. Long and beautiful. Should be in market in November 2012." (05/2012) 96 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2008 Reva (Syrah) is stunningly beautiful. This is a relatively delicate, feminine Reva that impresses for its length, balance and utter purity of fruit. Dark red cherries, flowers, mint and silky, saline notes wrap around the expressive fruit on the long, polished finish. A hint of truffles adds to the wine’s sensual, total ...

2012 Alban "Lorraine" Edna Valley Syrah (1.5L)

98 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Bottled in April of last year (as were all of the 2012 Syrahs), the 2012 Syrah Lorraine Vineyard has the classic sweetness and suppleness of this cuvee as well as tons of black raspberry, toasted bread, creamy licorice and floral notes. Full-bodied, ultra-pure, seamless and polished, it stays nicely focused and straight on the palate and has incredible elegance for wine of this size. (JD)" (08/2016) 95 points Vinous: "Dark purple. Heady cherry, blackberry liqueur and violet pastille aromas are complicated by su ...

2012 Sine Qua Non "Stein" Central Coast Grenache (1.5L)

97 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Starting with the Grenache release, the 2012 Grenache Stein is a blend of 76% Grenache, 16% Syrah and 8% Mourvedre, aged in 14% new French oak (15% was in concrete), that comes mostly from the estate's Eleven Confessions Vineyard in the Sta. Rita Hills, but also includes grapes from the Cumulus, Third Twin (Syrah) and Bien Nacido vineyards. Checking in at 15.7% alcohol, it's no lightweight, yet it has considerable elegance in its sweet blackcurrants, white pepper, licorice, baking spices and hints of violet-like ...

Bid on this magnum of 2012 Sine Qua Non "The Writing On The Wall" Central Coast Petite Sirah (1.5L) ((97-100RP), 98VN). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2012 Petite Sirah The Writing on the Wall should be the greatest Petite Sirah to ever come out of California (or the world?). Made from 94% Petite Sirah and 6% Viognier and aged in 80% old hogsheads and 20% in new French oak, it’s bottled only in magnum and will be sold along with the new Sine Qua Non label art book. A massive, full-bodied effort that offers incredible depth and richness without ever seeming heavy or cumbersome, it offers up blockbuster-styled aromas and flavors of blackberry, cassis, crushed rocks, beef blood and licorice. It should age for decades. (JD)" (08/2014)

2007 Sanguis "Las Mujeres" Central Coast Red Blend (1.5L)

92 points James Suckling: "An unusual blend of Grenache and Syrah, with a splash of Roussanne and Viognier, this wine is massively rich in cherry and blackberry pie, caramelized oak, vanilla and cinnamon spice flavors. The addition of those few drops of white varieties brings brisk acidity and a tang of citrus and flowers." (05/2012) 92 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2007 Red Wine Las Mujeres is 68% Grenache, 26% Syrah, 4% Roussanne and 2% Viognier. 2012 Sanguis "Bossman" Santa Ynez Valley Syrah (1.5L)

93 points Vinous: "The 2012 Bossman (Syrah) presents a cooler-climate style of Syrah typical of Bien Nacido. The inclusion of 7% Viognier also gives the flavors a kick of additional freshness. Graphite, violet, lavender, menthol, savory herbs and melted road tar are some of the many notes that wrap around a core of inky blue/purplish fruit. Succulent, racy and intense, the 2012 Bossman captures the essence of the Sanguis house style. 2006 Jonata "La Sangre de Jonata" Santa Ynez Valley Syrah (1.5L)

93-95 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2006 La Sangre de Jonata reveals more bacon fat, pepper, and meaty notes, but not as much intensity as the 2005. Nevertheless, this is a concentrated, full-bodied effort with fabulous fruit purity, good acidity, and an unmistakable Syrah personality that combines the best of French savoir faire with California fruit. It is a stunning effort from a challenging vintage. This remarkable Santa Ynez estate is under the same ownership as Napa Valley’s Screaming Eagle winery. While well-known Bordeaux consultant, ...

2009 Alban "Reva" Edna Valley Syrah (1.5L)

96-97 points James Suckling: "So much up front with wild fruit and intense berries and licorice. Voluptuous on the nose. But the palate is balanced refined and velvety. Long finish. Contrasty." (05/2012) 97 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Moving on to the vineyard designated Syrahs and a fantastic vintage for this cuvee, which goes back to the 2005, 2006 and 2007 levels of richness, the 2009 Syrah Reva (100% Syrah aged 42-months in French oak) offers up more fruit and purity than normal, with only hints of its normal iodine/seaweed tinged profil ...

2013 Hammell Wine Alliance "True Believer" Rhône Blend (1.5L)
Bid on this magnum of 2013 Hammell Wine Alliance "True Believer" Rhône Blend (1.5L) (98RP). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Even better, and a blend of 56% Grenache, 23% Syrah, 10% Mourvèdre, 9% Petite Sirah and a splash of Viognier, the 2013 True Believer has off-the-hook notes of liquid blackberries, violets, fresh plums and crushed rocks to go with a fabulously pure, precise, ethereally textured and full-bodied style on the palate. Coming from the estate vineyard that is located just beside Bien Nacido, it was fermented with 20% whole clusters (everything was co-fermented), racked straight to barrel and aged 26 months in new French oak, before being bottled unfiltered. Hats off to winemaker Chris Hammell as this is up with some of the greatest Grenache blends I’ve tasted from California. It’s very hard to resist today, but will be better in 2-3 years and drink well for a decade after that. Drink through 2029. (JD)" (08/2016)

2014 Hammell Wine Alliance "True Believer" Rhône Blend (1.5L)
Bid on this magnum of 2014 Hammell Wine Alliance "True Believer" Rhône Blend (1.5L) (95JD). Jeb Dunnuck: "A small step back from the total mind-blowing 2013, the 220-case 2014 True Believer is still incredible stuff and checks in as a blend of 51% Grenache, 27% Syrah, 11% Mourvèdre, 8% Petite Sirah and the rest Viognier and Roussanne. This deep ruby/purple colored beauty offers tons of ripe blackberry, currants, smoked herbs, pepper and melted licorice-like aromatics. Deep, sumptuous and decadent on the palate, with low acidity, it stays light on its feet and graceful, and certainly delivers loads of pleasure. 2009 Alban "Reva" Edna Valley Syrah (1.5L)
Bid on this magnum of 2009 Alban "Reva" Edna Valley Syrah (1.5L) ((96-97JS), 97RP, 97VN, 93ST, 92WS). Vinous: "Alban's 2009 Syrah Reva is drop-dead gorgeous. Sumptuous, layered and absolutely impeccable, the 2009 boasts stunning depth and richness but it is never overdone or excessively heavy. Today, the aromas and flavors remain intensely primary, so readers will have to be patient. Still, the Reva is simply thrilling, pretty much as it always has been from barrel. As compelling as Alban's higher-end Syrahs are, in 2009 I prefer the Reva, as it is the most polished, impeccable and balanced wine in the range. It will be interesting to follow the development of these wines over the next few years. (AG)" (07/2013)

Bid on this magnum of 2010 Alban "Reva" Edna Valley Syrah (1.5L) ((95-97VN), 95RP, (92-93ST), 93WS). Vinous: "The 2010 Syrah Reva is magnificent. Blue and blackish tone fruits, smoke, tar, licorice, cloves and menthol all flesh out in a supple, exotic wine endowed with superb depth and polish. An explosive finish rounds things out beautifully in this impeccable, opulent Syrah. The 2010 spent 44 months in oak, 70% new, all of which it has handled with grace. Of the three 2010 Syrahs, this is the wine I would personally reach for more often, as it is truly stellar. (AG)" (07/2014)

Of the 2011 Sine Qua Non "Patine - Eleven Confessions Vineyard" Sta. Rita Hills Syrah (1.5L),Robert Parker's Wine Advocate writes: "A wine that needs to be forgotten in the cellar for 5-6 years, the 2011 Syrah Patine checks in as a blend of roughly 97% Syrah and the balance Roussanne and Viognier. It too comes all from the estate's Eleven Confessions Vineyard and saw 39 months in 63% new French oak. Backward, tight, concentrated, and structured, with full-bodied richness and depth, it gives up Guigal La Landonne like aromas and flavors of graphite, sweet oak, smoked meats, pepper, and black raspberry and cassis-like fruit. While it shows the vintage's cooler nature, it has a stacked mid-palate and will evolve g

Seventy percent whole cluster was employed, and the wine was aged for 21 months in French barriques, 50% new. Bid on this magnum of 2014 Andremily "No. 3" Santa Barbara County Syrah (1.5L) (100JD, 96RP, 93VN). Jeb Dunnuck: "Unquestionably one of the wines of the vintage, Jim Binns’ 2014 Andremily No 3 is a blend of 89% Syrah, 8% Mourvèdre and 3% Viognier that comes from three great sites in Santa Barbara County: Larner Vineyard, White Hawk and Alta Mesa (Mourvèdre). Tasted twice, this totally profound beauty offers up heavenly notes of crème de cassis, crushed violets, smoked meats, graphite and ample minerality in a full-bodied, expansive, yet pure, elegant and lengthy style. It needs to be forgotten for 2-3 years, and will have 15 years or more of overall longevity. Andremily’s Jim Binns continues to fashion some of the most exciting wines coming out of California today. Jim left Sine Qua Non last year to focus full time on his own label, and is now making his wines in Ventura. The 2014 Andremily No 3 is unquestionably one of the great California Syrahs, and while I think the 2015 are a smal
