2016 La Fleur de Boüard, Lalande-de-Pomerol

93 points James Suckling: "Fragrant and spicy, ripe and juicy with a ton of crushed berry character. The generous, supple tannins nicely support the full body and long, silky finish." (02/2019) 92 points Vinous: "The 2016 La Fleur de Boüard is gorgeous. Sweet, floral notes lift the red berry fruit in this gracious, mid-weight wine. Raspberry, wild flowers, mocha, spice and mint all run through this lithe, silky wine. The 2016 possesses notable silkiness, nuance and finesse. This is a terrific showing. 2014 Gazin, Pomerol

95 points James Suckling: "The soy-sauce and savory aromas really make this stand out, but behind it are some very nice fruit and elegant tannins. This is a very well-made modern Pomerol with a lot of potential that needs some time to reveal its full class. Give it five or six years of bottle age." (02/2017) 94 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2014 Gazin was stubborn and broody when tasted in bottle, but give it a few swirls and there comes forth gravel and black truffle scents alongside sultry black fruit. These aromatics are so engaging and ...

2018 Feytit-Clinet, Pomerol (Pre-Arrival)

96-99 points Jeb Dunnuck: "From one of my favorite estates in Pomerol, situated between Trotanoy and Latour à Pomerol, the 2018 Château Feytit-Clinet is currently sitting at 92% Merlot and 8% Cabernet Franc being raised in 70% new French oak. Sporting a deep purple/blue color as well as a massive bouquet of blackberries, smoked herbs, liquid violets, and graphite, it hits the palate with full-bodied richness, a weightless, seamless texture, thrilling purity, and a great, great finish. It’s a powerful wine hitting 14.9% alcohol yet there’s not a trace of ...

95 points James Suckling: "Decadent and attractive with blueberry and blackberry aromas that are abundant and clear. Full body, firm and chewy tannins and a long, flavorful finish. Very structured and poised. Try from 2023." (02/2019) 92 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2016 Maillet is medium to deep garnet-purple colored, and pronounced plums, black cherries and warm black raspberries leap from the glass with hints of mocha and cigar box plus a waft of violets. 2011 Le Bon Pasteur, Pomerol

92 points James Suckling: "This is full-bodied, with gorgeous berry and chocolate character. Beautiful, velvety tannins and bright acidity. Needs two or three years to soften. The clarity of fruit is exceptional here. Try in 2016." (02/2014) 87-90 points Vinous: "Bright medium-deep red. Musky aromas of plum, blackcurrant and cedar. Juicy, sappy and stylish, combining black pepper and licorice qualities and a subtle touch of sweetness. Not a hugely concentrated wine but nicely balanced. Finishes with mounting, youthfully chewy tannins. (ID)" (05/2012) ...

2016 Beauregard, Pomerol

96 points James Suckling: "Beautiful aromas of plums, flowers, truffles, earth, and hot stones. Full-bodied, yet the very fine and polished tannins have fabulous poise and elegance. Plush. Love the finish. One of the best ever from here. Drink from 2025." (02/2019) 94 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Deep garnet-purple in color, the 2016 Beauregard is a little closed on the nose, opening to warm black plums, blackberries and mulberries with touches of chocolate box and dried herbs plus violets hints. 2016 La Patache, Pomerol (Pre-Arrival)

94 points James Suckling: "Beautiful, Pomerol violets and wet earth with a wealth of blueberries and ripe blue plums in a very fresh mode. The palate delivers a very assertive and juicy array of fine tannins, carrying rich plums and berries that are nicely illuminated by acidity on the finish. Try from 2023." (02/2019) 91 points Vinous: "The 2016 La Patache, from one of several Peter Kwok properties, has an intense bouquet of red cherries, crushed strawberry and hints of Moroccan spice and truffle oil. Full-bodied, very tight and focused with fabulous density of fruit in the center palate and a long, flavorful finish. Shows strength and, at the same time, finesse. Try after 2023." (02/2019) 93-95 points Wine Enthusiast: "Made by the winemaking team of Léoville las Cases in Saint-Julien, this is a densely structured wine, rich in generous fruit while also having balanced acidity. 2018 La Conseillante, Pomerol (Pre-Arrival)

97-100 points Jeb Dunnuck: "The 2018 Château La Conseillante checks in as a blend of 83% Merlot and 17% Cabernet Franc brought up in 70% new French oak, with a small amount in amphora. Yields here were a light 32 hectoliters per hectare, and the 2018 is a respectable 13.5% natural alcohol. Winemaker Marielle Cazaux commented that the secret to the vintage was to be a lazy winemaker (i.e. hands off). Her 2018 boasts a saturated purple color as well as incredible purity in its blue and black fruits, spice, liquid flower, and violet-like characteristics. Fu ...

It touches every taste bud on your palate. Chocolate mousse and fruit. I am lost for words. Legendary 1950 all over again. " (02/2012) 99 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2009's nearly 14% natural alcohol, exquisite ripeness, and incredible complex bouquet of Asian spices, fruitcake, licorice, smoke, blackberries and black currants are to die for. 2008 L'Eglise-Clinet, Pomerol

95 points Decanter: "A smokier expression than most, this is hugely enjoyable and still intense in colour on its 10th birthday. Expect layers of juicy, succulent black cherry with graphite, and just a hint of black truffle that should develop more over the next decade. Great depth of flavour that stretches out through the palate. (JA)" (12/2017) 95 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "A remarkable wine in this vintage, L’Eglise Clinet’s 2008 has a color almost as dark as the barrel sample of 2010. 2009 Le Gay, Pomerol

96 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Tiny yields of 25 hectoliters per hectare and a final blend of 90% Merlot and 10% Cabernet Franc have produced an enormously concentrated, black/purple-colored wine exhibiting notes of roasted meats, smoked game, blackberries, coffee, incense and forest floor. This distinctive, large-scaled, viscous, thick Pomerol may be as concentrated as some of this estate’s all-time classics (1947 and 1950). I am puzzled by why I could not see this a few years ago. In any event, this is one of the most profound Le Gay’s ever ...

2010 La Conseillante, Pomerol

98 points Decanter: "This is just a beautiful wine, silky smooth and with a fresher balance than the 2009 thanks to a slightly higher acidity. It has the most stunning presence right from the start: a coiled, young, muscular wine of substance that has more in common with the 2005 than the 2009. Richly swirling black fruits fruits provide an amazing experience in a glass, one to savour slowly. No need to think about opening any time soon. 2016 La Chenade, Lalande-de-Pomerol

With terrific purity and, again, a lovely floral quality, it’s a gorgeous red to enjoy over the coming 10-15 years." 2015 Clinet, Pomerol

99 points James Suckling: "An immaculate wine with pristine blackberries and dark plums as well as fresh, earthy nuances and dark crushed violets. An upright palate with lightly peppery dark berries and plums. The inflection of cabernet here makes for an impressively powerful wine that still exudes Pomerol’s suave, seductive charm. Chalky, seamless tannins. Super fresh. Try from 2022." 2010 l'Evangile, Pomerol (Pre-Arrival)

98 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Another spectacular effort from L’Evangile, the 2010 is a close rival to the 2009 and should be fascinating to compare with that vintage over the next 30 or so years. Stunningly rich and black/purple in color, the 2010 L’Evangile offers up the tell-tale floral note as well as black raspberry jam intermixed with cassis and kirsch. There are also ethereal floral notes and a hint of background oak. The pH is slightly above average (3.7 versus the pH of 4.0 that the 2009 and 2000 possessed). This is a massive, rich, ...

A blend of 95% Merlot and 5% Cabernet Franc aged in 100% new oak, with 15% natural alcohol, it exhibits a sumptuous bouquet of caramels, black raspberry liqueur, blackberries, violets, graphite and truffles. While it's clear that the new owner, Catherine Pere-Verge, has made some amazing wines since 2005 (especially the 2008), the 1982 is a wine for the ages. 2015 Pétrus, Pomerol

100 points Decanter: "There is so much going on with Petrus in 2015 that you should just pull up a chair and relax, don't expect to be going anywhere soon. Aromatic persistency keeps reaching in, pulling you further alongside. There is a soft quality to the tannins that allows the black fruit to be both juicy and sweet. Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 1995 La Conseillante, Pomerol (94DC, 93WS, 92RP, 91VN). Decanter: "1995 was a warm year and the ripe fruits, with notes of fig and prune, come through strongly on the nose. The palate showcases soft truffles, gentle tobacco and some mushroom notes alongside the ripe fruit. You can feel the warm embrace of those Pomerol tannins, tugging rather than dragging you through the palate. It's softened so beautifully that it's fully in its drinking window and should be enjoyed now, although it won't dip for at least another decade. (JA)" (11/2017)

It has reached full maturity , where it should rest for some time to come. (RP)" (01/2003) 93 points ...

2016 La Fleur-Pétrus, Pomerol (Pre-Arrival)

99 points James Suckling: "Wow. The blackberry, dried-flower and orange-peel aromas are so impressive at first, but then they go to black truffle and wet earth. Full-bodied with a solid core of powerful yet fine-grained tannins. It goes on for minutes. A very muscular La Fleur-Pétrus. Drink after 2025." (02/2019) 98 points Decanter: "The upfront brambly fruit is sensuous and luscious, followed by freshness and uplift that clamps the mid-palate and takes you vertically up in a whirl of mint and eucalyptus.
