96 points Jeb Dunnuck: "Truly exceptional, and showing every bit as good as last year, the 2007 Tablas Creek Esprit de Beaucastel (44% Mourvèdre, 29% Grenache, 21% Syrah, and 6% Counoise) delivers awesome aromatics reminiscent of a top ’07 Châteauneuf-du-Pape, showing pure blackberry, kirsch, licorice, incense, and herbed rubbed meaty notes. Dense, concentrated, and fantastically textured, this full bodied beauty should drink well for 10 to 15 years." (11/2010) 95 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The prodigious 2007 Esprit de Beaucastel is a blen...

100 points Jeb Dunnuck: "The 2007 James Berry Vineyard has been incredibly consistent for me and was as good as it gets on this occasion. More seamless, silky and elegant than the Heartstone, it has sensational notes of kirsch, black cherries, garrigue, dried herbs and licorice in a seamless, ultra-elegant, polished profile. Incredible in every sense, and a reference point wine both for the estate and the region, it has opened up beautifully since release and is drinking gorgeously today. This is one of those wines I wish I could pour for every reader." ...

2007 L'Aventure "Optimus" Paso Robles Red Blend
Back In Stock!
93-95 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The sexiest offering at present is the 2007 Optimus Proprietary red, a blend of 45% Syrah, 40% Cabernet Sauvignon, and 15% Petit Verdot. More fruit-forward than the 2006, the 2007 gushes with blackberry and cassis fruit, smoky, burning embers, charcoal, and toasty new oak. Full-bodied and powerful with supple tannins, decent acids, and an overall impression of voluptuousness as well as extravagant fruit and opulence, it should drink beautifully for a decade. Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2007 L'Aventure "Estate Cuvée" Paso Robles Red Blend (96JD, 94VN, 93WS, 91CG). Jeb Dunnuck: "The 2007 Estate Cuvée is 49% Syrah, 37% Cabernet and 14% Petit Verdot up in 100% new French oak. Another ripe, sexy red that does everything right, it offers tons of plums, blackberry jam, spice box and licorice, with hints of violets. Hitting the palate with a voluptuous, rounded, layered texture that just begs another drink, it’s right in the middle of its drink window yet can safely be kept for another decade in cool cellars." Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2007 L'Aventure "Estate" Paso Robles Cabernet Sauvignon (96JD, 94RP, 93ST, 90CG). Jeb Dunnuck: "Made from 95% Cabernet Sauvignon and 5% Petit Verdot, the 2007 Cabernet Sauvignon offers textbook notes of blackcurrants, plums, cedary spice, and violets. Full-bodied and concentrated, like the Côte à Côte , it's seamless on the palate, with perfectly integrated tannins. It's another gorgeous wine from Stephan. " (07/2018)
Starting Bid: $100.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2007 L'Aventure "Côte à Côte Estate" Paso Robles Rhône Blend (96RP, 95JD, 94ST, 93WE). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Just as good, the 2007 Côte à Côte starts out tight and reserved, but blossoms with time in the glass, showing incredibly pure creme de cassis, black cherry, licorice and spice-driven aromas and flavors. These all flow to a full-bodied, deep, rich and layered profile on the palate that carries beautiful concentration, excellent overall purity and freshness, and a blockbuster finish. Still youthful and vibrant, with obvious structure, I think there’s some upside here, and when all is said and done, it will have upward of two decades or more of total longevity. (JD) 96+" (07/2014)
