2006 Turley "Pesenti" Paso Robles Zinfandel
Back In Stock!
91-94 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "From the limestone soils of Paso Robles, the 2006 Zinfandel Pesenti is a beauty. The limestone seems to give Zinfandels in that area acidity, vibrancy, and aromatic personalities, but without sacrificing the intrinsic richness and intensity from low yields. This wine boasts fabulous briery, blackberry, and cherry fruit, a crushed rock note, and a long, heady finish. (RP)" (12/2007) 93 points Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "Bright red-ruby. Expansive aromas of cherry, briary raspberry and pepper....

2006 Justin "Justification" Paso Robles Cabernet Franc-Merlot
Back In Stock!
You won't need any justification to pull the cork on your bottle of 2006 "Justification" from Justin Vineyards. This blend of Right Bank Bordeaux varietals (63% cabernet franc, 37% merlot) has a bouquet reminiscent of childhood summers: raspberries, blackberries and a hint of hot earth. Bid on this 5-bottle lot of 2006 L'Aventure "Optimus" Paso Robles Red Blend (92RP, 91ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2006 Optimus Proprietary Red, a blend of 50% Cabernet Sauvignon, 45% Syrah, and 5% Petit Verdot, performed slightly better than it did last year. Reminiscent of a northern Rhone blended with a Bordeaux, it exhibits sweet cassis, graphite, and a chalky, powdery minerality, good structure, and full body. As the wine sits in the glass, hints of espresso roast and white chocolate emerge. (RP)" (08/2009)
