Allen Meadows - Burghound: "A classic Meursault nose of hazelnut, white peach and soft pear aromas gives way to fresh, vibrant and energetic middle weight flavors that culminate in a lingering if mildly bitter finish. My note assumes that the bitterness will quickly dissipate as I suspect that it's sulfur-related." (01/2011) Wine Spectator: "Loosely knit, featuring baked apple and grapefruit flavors with a touch of spice. This is rich, just lacks focus, ending with echoes of apple and spice. Drink now through 2014. (BS)" (02/2012)
Price: $44.99

95 points Jeb Dunnuck: "Coming from 56-year-old vines and fermented and aged in barrel, the 2017 Meursault Perrières 1er Cru is a gem in the lineup and certainly delivers the goods. Offering a vivid bouquet of white flowers and stone and citrus fruits, beautiful wet stone and flinty minerality, and some salty seaside notes, it hits the palate with medium-bodied richness, racy yet integrated acidity, and a crisp, lengthy finish. It’s a brilliant, perfectly balanced Meursault that almost has a Chassagne-Montrachet-like purity and elegance. " (04/2019) 95...

92 points John Gilman: "The 2017 Meursault “Casse Têtes” from Domaine Lafouge is also excellent on both the nose and palate. The bouquet delivers a classic blend of pear, apple, passion fruit, hazelnut, chalky soil tones, spring flowers and vanillin oak. On the palate the wine is deep, full-bodied, complex and a bit more reserved today than the Meix Chavaux, with a fine core, lovely focus and cut and impressive lift on the long and nascently complex finish. This too is excellent." (12/2018) 91 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2017 Meursault L...

95 points Jeb Dunnuck: "Another one of the gems in the lineup is the 2017 Meursault Charmes 1er Cru, a more upfront, powerful wine compared to the more inward Puligny-Montrachet Les Chalumeaux. Crushed citrus, white peach, crushed rocks, celery seed, and a beautiful salinity all emerge from this medium to full-bodied, juicy, layered, incredibly pure and layered white that does everything right. It also needs air to show at its best, and I suspect won’t hit prime time for another 4-5 years, but it should evolve beautifully over the following decade or mor...

2015 Domaine Patrick Javillier Meursault "Clos du Cromin"
New!
90 points Vinous: "Pale yellow. A bit more exotic on the nose than the Tillets, offering scents of pineapple, citrus peel and dusty stone. Similarly ripe in the mouth, but with its broad lemon and lime flavors given shape by surprising acidity and pungent notes of herbs and stone. Lovely old-vines density and intensity here. The limey finish is dry, fresh and long. Javillier is about to replant a portion of these very old vines.(ST)" (09/2017) Allen Meadows - Burghound: "Notes of hazelnut add breadth to the notably ripe white orchard fruit aromas. The ...

2015 Domaine Patrick Javillier Meursault "Tillets"
New!
90 points Allen Meadows - Burghound: "A subdued and mildly reduced nose renders it hard to evaluate today. Otherwise the sleek and sophisticated medium weight flavors also possess a highly seductive mouth feel along with markedly more minerality on the saline, intense and beautifully persistent finish. This is impeccably well-balanced and while the pliant mid-palate will make this approachable young, it should easily be capable of repaying mid-term keeping. In sum, this is an excellent Meursault villages." (06/2017) 90 points Vinous: "Bright, pale yell...

2011 Domaine Patrick Javillier Meursault "Tillets"
New!
92 points Wine Enthusiast: "Aromas of wood aging and ripe yellow fruits are a fine pairing for this wine that comes from the slopes above Meursault. With its textured character, apricot and peach flavors and tight acidity, this is a serious and complex wine that demands aging. Drink from 2015." (12/2013) 90 points Allen Meadows - Burghound: "With now 5 years of age this remains a really lovely effort with its airy, cool and now almost fully mature aromas of Granny Smith apples, white flowers and pear along with subtle hints of mineral reduction. There ...

90 points Wine Spectator: "Between the coffee, biscuit and toasty oak notes, this could be breakfast. Apple flavors and a subtle mineral element cruise through the finish. Drink now through 2023." (08/2018)

93 points Jeb Dunnuck: "Bottled under screw cap, the 2017 Meursault offers a crisp, salty bouquet that’s very much in the style of the vintage. White fruits, oysters shell, and crushed citrus notes all emerge from this juicy, medium-bodied, racy 2017 that has integrated acidity, beautiful fruit, and a great finish." (04/2019) 91 points Wine & Spirits: "Distinctly Meursault in its fresh scents of salted almond butter, this wraps its flavors of oranges and lemons in a savory, toasty richness. It’s clean, with lovely depth, simple but true to its place." ...

88-91 points Vinous: "Bright lemon-yellow color. More exotic yellow fruits on the nose, along with an element of smoky oak (about 20% new in 2017). In a distinctly fatter style than the village Puligny, offering good concentration and a suggestion of honeyed ripeness to its ripe yellow fruit flavors. A bit more phenolic and less refined on the finish, but shows good length and a firm stony underpinning. (ST)" (09/2018) 90 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The latest rendition of a bottling Pernot has produced sine 1973, the 2017 Meursault-Blagny 1...

2011 Domaine Patrick Javillier Meursault "Cuvée Tête de Murger"
New!
93 points Wine Enthusiast: "A blend of two parcels of vines in Meursault, this is an impressive wine that's equal in quality to a Premier Cru. Full and ripe, the palate boasts flavors of apples, peaches and green plums, but maintains an elegant character throughout. Age this fine wine and drink from 2016. *Cellar Selection* (RV)" (12/2013) 92 points Allen Meadows - Burghound: "A discreetly exotic yet very fresh and complex nose speaks of dried yellow orchard fruit, mango and pineapple. There is an almost viscous mouth feel to the opulent and very conce...

2016 Lucien Le Moine Meursault 1er Cru "Gouttes d'Or"
New!
91-93 points Vinous: "Bright light yellow. Aromas of peach, fresh apricot and medicinal herbs show a sweet-sour quality that reminded me of some Chinese dishes. Very pure, juicy and penetrating; doesn't show the body, density or ripeness of the Charmes but this is a compellingly energetic, intense Gouttes d'Or with sneaky power. Finishes very long and suave, with an impression of firm structure and an element of sweetness perfectly balanced by lemon-limey energy.(ST)" (09/2018)

89-91 points Allen Meadows - Burghound: "A more elegant nose combines notes of roasted hazelnut, pear liqueur and acacia blossom. There is once again excellent richness to the delicious, succulent and seductive medium-bodied flavors that possess a gorgeous texture if not quite the overall depth and persistence of the Grands Charrons. Even so, this is lovely." (06/2019) 88-90 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Aromas of pear, blanched almonds, peach and white flowers introduce the 2017 Meursault Les Corbins, a medium to full-bodied, satiny wine with...

Wine & Spirits: "This wine’s yellow apple and honeysuckle density is cut by bright, almost relentlessly firm acidity. There is a classic Meursault waiting to emerge... needing bottle age to show its best." (10/2019)
Price: $79.99

90-92 points Vinous: "Slightly hazy appearance. Fragrant but very primary scents of pineapple, fresh yellow fruits and crushed stone, plus a note of hazelnut. Plush and velvety in the mouth, but with lovely lift to its yellow fruit and spice flavors. Finishes rich, broad, long and classically dry but not at all heavy, with slowly building mineral and spice notes. Already hints at the suavity of this great premier cru.(NM)" (09/2018)

89-91 points Allen Meadows - Burghound: "A cool and overtly smoky nose features notes of hazelnut, floral, citrus and a soft application of wood influence. The clean, intense and precise flavors are quite tightly focused while exuding evident minerality on the racy, linear and beautifully well-detailed finish that is quite dry but not really austere. Lovely." (06/2019) Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2017 Meursault Village is pretty and expressive, bursting from the glass with notes of Anjou pear, hazelnuts, fresh peach and white flowers. On the pa...

93 points James Suckling: "This is very beautiful with sliced cooked apples, honey and spice. Some cedar. Medium to full body, just the right acidity and a clean and vivid finish. Real Charmes. Drink now or hold." (01/2019) 89-92 points Allen Meadows - Burghound: "Once again there is a whiff of the exotic to the white peach, passion fruit, mandarin orange and softly oak-scented nose. The delicious and vibrant flavors possess an appealing mouth feel though not quite the same mid-palate concentration on the more refined, indeed even sophisticated finish....

93 points Wine Spectator: "Fresh and elegant, this white delivers peach, lemon cake, floral and spice aromas and flavors. Harmonious and ready to enjoy, but should develop well. Drink now through 2025." (07/2019) 92 points James Suckling: "Some attractive, youthful complexity here with a very flinty, stony edge to the grapefruit and young peaches. The palate has a very succulent feel with a creamy layer at the finish. Drink or hold." (01/2019) 90 points John Gilman: "The 2017 Meursault AC is quite a classic example of the vintage, offering up plenty ...

91-93 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Offering up aromas of fresh pear, white flowers, beeswax and pastry cream, the 2017 Meursault 1er Cru Les Genevrières is medium to full-bodied, satiny and incisive, with excellent depth and tension at the core, concluding with a long, stony finish. As it should be, this is less unctuous and gourmand than the Charmes. (WK)" (01/2019) 91-93 points Vinous: "Brighter yellow than the Charmes-Dessus, as well as a touch lighter and greener. More elegant on the nose too, offering scents of musky lime oil, wild herbs...

92-94 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Another of the portfolio's high points is the 2017 Meursault 1er Cru Les Perrières, which was one of the least evolved wines when I tasted it from barrel. An as yet only partially formed bouquet displays notions of bright citrus oil and crushed chalk, along with some leesy top notes that will dissipate by the time the wine is bottled. On the palate, it's medium to full-bodied, tangy and incisive with an elegantly satiny attack, racy acids and a long, electric finish. It's the most tensile wine in the Girardin ...

92-95 points Vinous: "Sexy aromas of peach, pineapple and crushed stone. A step up from the Genevrières in suavity and mineral definition, displaying captivating inner-mouth lift and perfume. Large-scaled, tactile yet precise, this beauty finishes with terrific palate-saturating length and verve. Boasts the classic wet-stone minerality of this great premier cru--and it tastes more concentrated than its yield of 45 hectoliters per hectare would suggest. (ST)" (09/2018) 92-94 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Aromas of ripe lemons, praline, crushed ...

89-91 points Allen Meadows - Burghound: "A pure and pretty nose offers up notes of essence of pear, acacia blossom and citrus along with hints of petrol and matchstick. The medium weight flavors are notably rich and caressing, indeed even tender, while the delicious finish is borderline delicate. This is a lovely exercise in finesse and grace." (06/2018) 91 points Decanter: "The Luchets is also very fine in 2016, bursting with aromas of apple blossom, lemon oil, lime and crème pâtissière. On the palate the wine is tensile and medium-bodied, with good c...

2017 Ballot Millot Meursault 1er Cru "Perrieres"
New!
92-94 points Allen Meadows - Burghound: "A trace of mineral reduction sits atop the pretty and very floral-inflected aromas of various white-fleshed fruit and citrus scents. The caressing yet intense mineral-driven flavors possess outstanding complexity on the balanced and impressively long finish. This is at once delicate yet powerful and should also age effortlessly." (06/2019)

94 points Decanter: "The best of Bouchard's array of Meursaults in 2017, this hails from two parcels, both in Genevrières Dessus; a total of 2.65ha. Pale, scented and well balanced, it has spicy 15% new wood, good texture and weight, and notes of citrus and beeswax. Drinking Window 2020-2025. (TA)" (10/2018) 94 points Wine Spectator: "The honey, white peach, apple and subtle lime blossom aromas and flavors in this elegant white are compelling. Takes a soft-sell approach, with enticing complexity and intensity, set on a light-weight frame. Terrific leng...

2016 Domaine Roulot Meursault "Vireuils"
Back In Stock!
89-91 points Allen Meadows - Burghound: "This had just been racked and was aromatically unreadable. Here too the palate impression of the middle weight flavors is energetic while once again offering a step up in refinement along with more minerality if perhaps not quite the same richness on the youthfully austere bitter-lemon inflected finish. In its current condition this is a bit awkward but the underlying material is such that I am confident that it will come together well. *Outstanding*" (06/2018) 91 points Decanter: "The Vireuils is superb in this...

92 points Allen Meadows - Burghound: "An elegant and spicy nose reflects notes of mineral reduction, essence of pear and acacia along with wisps of smoke and pain grillé. Here too there is excellent volume and intensity to the even more mineral-inflected flavors that culminate in a gorgeously long if youthfully austere finale. Some patience would be beneficial." (06/2018) 92 points Decanter: "Aromas of pear, crushed rock and flowers precede a concentrated, minerally, almost saline Perrieres, with a rich core of fruit and a precise, stony finish despite...

Jean-Marc Boillot's village-level Meursault bottling is from the single lieu-dit of Les Pellans in 2017. He describes the vintage in Vinous.com: "Jean-Marc Boillot described his 2017 white wines as 'taut like the 2016s, but with larger quantities, except in the premier crus,' where he produced only around 40 hectoliters per hectare due to hot weather during the flowering. He added that pHs are similar in the two vintages, at around 3.3. Boillot has long been obsessed with making focused, clean wines. He works with the same three cultured yeasts, which en...

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2000 Bouchard Père et Fils 1er Cru "Meursault Perrières" (95WS, 92VN). Wine Spectator: "Gorgeous. Supersupple, silky yet fresh and lively premier cru, showing a great mineral grip and lots of ripe, sweet fruit that is like a delightful summer fruit dessert. Long finish with smoky, toasted notes that linger forever. *Highly Recommended* (PM)" (09/2002)

Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2017 Domaine Tessier Meursault. Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Aromas of orchard fruits, beeswax and white flowers introduce the 2017 Meursault Village, a medium to full-bodied, satiny wine that's built around a fleshy core of succulent fruit and a bright line of animating acidity. (WK)" (01/2019)

Bid on this 4-bottle lot of 2017 Alain Hudelot-Noellat Meursault "Clos des Ecoles" ((88-90JG), 90RP). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Offering up aromas of smoky citrus, green orchard fruit and oatmeal, the 2017 Meursault Clos des Ecoles is medium-bodied, satiny and pure, with succulent acids, a generous but vibrant core of fruit and a nicely delineated finish. Ten barrels were produced, of which two were new. (WK)" (01/2019)

Bid on this 4-bottle lot of 2015 Boisson-Vadot ' Meursault Sous la Velle "Anne Boisson". From BBR: "Domaine Boisson-Vadot, run by father and son team of Bernard and Pierre Boisson, is one of the rising stars in Mersault. The philosophy of the Domaine revolves around careful, hands-on vineyard management to coax the greatest potential of each vintage out of the various plots, and low-impact winemaking in the cellars that allows the unique terroir of each vineyard to surface. New oak is very minimal, no more than 30% for the top cuvées, and much more restraint in the village wines and in Bourgogne Blanc. Pierre Boisson produces a village Meursault from his grandmother’s vineyards (50 year old vines in the lieu-dits of Criots and Perchots) that is hailed an model wine for the appellation. The Domaine also crafts other bottlings, from three of the best lieux à dits in Meursault: Sous la Velle , Grands Charrons (planted in 1988) and Chevalières (planted in 1982). The Grands Charrons is the

Bid on this 4-bottle lot of 2015 Pierre Boisson Meursault . According to the importer, Pierre Boisson's wines have developed a "cult-like following" in New York, but are well known in France because of the family's history of winemaking and deep roots in Meursault. "The wines of Domaine Boisson-Vadot have always been excellent, with a classic, soil-driven and racy style not encumbered by excessive new oak or battonage. Like so many of the top domaines in Burgundy, there are no secrets to the success of the Boisson-Vadot wines. Rather, the tried and true formula of a high percentage of old vines, careful vineyard husbandry each year to nurture the greatest potential of each vintage, and patient, careful winemaking in the cellars allows the unique, underlying terroirs of each vineyard to take the spotlight in the finished wines."
Starting Bid: $240.00

Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2015 Domaine François Mikulski Meursault 1er Cru "Poruzots" ((88-90RP)). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2015 Meursault 1er Cru Les Poruzots offers traces of yellow flowers on the nose that marry nicely with the citrus fruit, smoked walnut emerging after time in the glass. The palate is well balanced with a lightly honeyed entry, commendable weight in the mouth. Drink through 2026. (NM)" (12/2016)
