2016 Domaine Bouchard Père et Fils Meursault 1er Cru "Les Perrières"

93 points Allen Meadows - Burghound: " Here there is no reductive funk with its elegant, airy and cool aromas of citrus peel, acacia, spice and a whiff of Granny Smith apples. The middle weight and focused flavors are stony to the point of imparting the sense of rolling a small pebble around in the mouth, all wrapped in linear, energetic and very dry but not austere finale. This definitely needs time to flesh out and unwind as it's very tight at present. *Sweet spot Outstanding*" (06/2018) 91-93 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2016 Meursault ...Read More »

2016 Domaine Bouchard Père et Fils Meursault 1er Cru "Genevrières"

93 points Allen Meadows - Burghound: "Residual SO2 is sufficient to dominate the nose today. Marvelously energetic and intensely mineral-driven flavors also possess excellent cut that characterizes the bitter lemon and saline-inflected finish that delivers seriously fine length. This chiseled effort is almost Chablis-like and will require at least a few years of bottle age first. *Sweet Spot, Outstanding*" (06/2018) 93 points Wine Spectator: "Lean and tight, with oak spice wrapped around a core of lemon, apple and stone flavors. Firms up in the end, ye ...Read More »

2017 Domaine Bouchard Père et Fils Meursault 1er Cru "Genevrières" (Pre-Arrival)

94 points Decanter: "The best of Bouchard's array of Meursaults in 2017, this hails from two parcels, both in Genevrières Dessus; a total of 2.65ha. Pale, scented and well balanced, it has spicy 15% new wood, good texture and weight, and notes of citrus and beeswax. Drinking Window 2020-2025. (TA) " (10/2018) 91-93 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2017 Meursault 1er Cru Genevrières is another of the highlights chez Bouchard this year, unfurling in the glass with aromas of green orchard fruit, Meyer lemon and hazelnut cream. On the palate, t ...Read More »

2016 Domaine Joseph Drouhin Meursault 1er Cru "Perrieres"

92 points Allen Meadows - Burghound: "An elegant and spicy nose reflects notes of mineral reduction, essence of pear and acacia along with wisps of smoke and pain grillé. Here too there is excellent volume and intensity to the even more mineral-inflected flavors that culminate in a gorgeously long if youthfully austere finale. Some patience would be beneficial." (06/2018) 92 points Decanter: "Aromas of pear, crushed rock and flowers precede a concentrated, minerally, almost saline Perrieres, with a rich core of fruit and a precise, stony finish despite ...Read More »

2017 Domaine Bouchard Père et Fils Meursault 1er Cru "Les Perrières" (Pre-Arrival)

92-95 points Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "Sexy aromas of peach, pineapple and crushed stone. A step up from the Genevrières in suavity and mineral definition, displaying captivating inner-mouth lift and perfume. Large-scaled, tactile yet precise, this beauty finishes with terrific palate-saturating length and verve. Boasts the classic wet-stone minerality of this great premier cru--and it tastes more concentrated than its yield of 45 hectoliters per hectare would suggest. (Stephen Tanzer writing for Vinous.com)" (09/2018) 92-95 points V ...Read More »

2016 Domaine Sylvain Langoureau Meursault-Blagny 1er Cru "La Pièce Sous le Bois"

91 points Allen Meadows - Burghound: "This too is moderately reduced so a thorough aeration is advised. On the plus side there is excellent richness to the relatively opulent middle weight flavors that once again brim with minerality and dry extract, all wrapped in a somewhat strict, linear and austere finale that is going to require time to unwind. I would recommend this only if you intend to allow it at least a few years of cellar time first." (06/2018)

2016 Domaine Latour-Giraud Meursault "Narvaux"

88-91 points Allen Meadows - Burghound: "Hints of olive oil and petrol add breadth to the pear compote and acacia blossom scents. Once again there is outstanding richness to the full-bodied flavors though in this case they are much more mineral-driven with excellent power and persistence on the markedly dry but not really austere finish. This is a big wine even for Narvaux and one that will need at least a few years to unwind." (06/2018) 90 points Vinous: "(Jean-Pierre Latour used no more than 25% new oak for his 2016 white wines): Bright light yellow. ...Read More »

2016 Domaine Latour-Giraud Meursault 1er Cru "Genevrières"

90-93 points Allen Meadows - Burghound: "Naturally exotic aromas are composed of Asian-style tea and the essence of pear and acacia blossom. The middle weight flavors possess both a finer mouth feel as well as more minerality though not the same power as this is almost delicate on the cool, pure and admirably well-balanced finale. Lovely stuff." (06/2018) 92 points Decanter: "Rich and creamy with great weight of apricot fruit and citrus elements, but not at the expense of acidity. There’s spicy oak, considerable minerality and great drive. The wine is ...Read More »

2016 Maison Joseph Faiveley Meursault

Jancis Robinson: "Wood is more evident here than on the Meursault Blagny and the Meursault Charmes. Fresh lemon and grapefruit with a light tannic grip. Chewy but not excessively so. Needs time. 16.5/20 points. (JH)" (11/2017)

2016 Xavier Monnot Meursault "Les Chevalieres"

Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2016 Meursault Chevalieres has an attractive nose with scents of fresh pear, lime flower and citrus fruit. Perhaps I would like a little more Meursault nuttiness to come through. The palate is medium-bodied with a lightly honeyed opening, hints of almond and green apple, nicely balanced with a pretty, quite detailed finish. A charmer! Drink now-2022. (NM)" (12/2017)

2009 Domaine Thierry & Pascale Matrot Blagny 1er Cru "Piece Sous la Bois"
Bid on this 4-bottle lot of 2009 Domaine Thierry & Pascale Matrot Blagny 1er Cru "Piece Sous la Bois" (90BH). Allen Meadows - Burghound: "A distinctly fresher and brighter nose of high-toned red currant and black raspberry trimmed in pretty floral hints marries into rich, round and well-detailed flavors that possess fine verve on the delicious finish. This is on the fruit-driven side at present but there is a lovely sense of harmony and I suspect that this will add depth with time in bottle." (05/2011)

2016 Domaine Thierry et Pascale Matrot Meursault 1er Cru "Blagny"

89-92 points Vinous: "(no new oak for this and all subsequent '16s except for the Quintessence): Bright, light yellow. Pure, complex nose combines aromas of peach, lemon, flowers and crushed stone. Lovely Meursault richness here, and not at all in a Puligny style, as this cuvée can often be. More open-knit than the Meursault Charmes, showing good stuffing but also good grip, with a lemon drop flavor and a mineral underpinning giving it backbone. Finishes tactile and chewy, with very good energy and lift. (ST)" (09/2017) Jancis Robinson: "Seductively cr ...Read More »

2009-2010 Domaine des Comtes Lafon Meursault "Clos de la Barre" Vertical
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2009-2010 Domaine des Comtes Lafon Meursault "Clos de la Barre" Vertical, including 1-bottle of 2009 Domaine des Comtes Lafon Meursault "Clos de la Barre" ((91-93ST), 92JG, (90-92RP), 90BH) and 1-bottle of 2010 Domaine des Comtes Lafon Meursault "Clos de la Barre" (92JG, 92ST, 91BH, 91RP). Of the 2009 Domaine des Comtes Lafon Meursault "Clos de la Barre",Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar writes: "From a tank sample taken just prior to the fining: Bright, pale yellow-green. Grapefruit and lemon ice on the nose, plus a whiff of white truffle. Edgy lemony acidity gives shape to the palate and carries the finish. A second sample, taken after the fining: Bright pale yellow. Subtly perfumed nose hints at lemon ice. Juicy and pure but a bit sharper than the first sample, showing excellent precision to the lemon zest flavors. A very site-driven sample that finishes with a salty nuance and noteworthy cut and length. I like what the fining has accom

2017 Henri Boillot Meursault (Pre-Arrival)

89-91 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2017 Meursault Village is a blend of superior lieux-dits including Narvaux, En la Barre, Limuzin and Clos du Cromin this year, and the resulting cuvée is lovely. Offering up aromas of pear, fresh peach, oatmeal and honeycomb, it's medium to full-bodied, satiny and elegant, with juicy acids and lovely purity, accessible but endowed with all the energy and cut that are Boillot's declared objectives. 2016 Domaine Roulot Meursault "Luchets" (Pre-Arrival)

89-91 points Allen Meadows - Burghound: "A pure and pretty nose offers up notes of essence of pear, acacia blossom and citrus along with hints of petrol and matchstick. The medium weight flavors are notably rich and caressing, indeed even tender, while the delicious finish is borderline delicate. This is a lovely exercise in finesse and grace." (06/2018) 91 points Decanter: "The Luchets is also very fine in 2016, bursting with aromas of apple blossom, lemon oil, lime and crème pâtissière. On the palate the wine is tensile and medium-bodied, with good c ...Read More »

2016 Domaine Roulot Meursault "Vireuils" (Pre-Arrival)

89-91 points Allen Meadows - Burghound: "This had just been racked and was aromatically unreadable. Here too the palate impression of the middle weight flavors is energetic while once again offering a step up in refinement along with more minerality if perhaps not quite the same richness on the youthfully austere bitter-lemon inflected finish. In its current condition this is a bit awkward but the underlying material is such that I am confident that it will come together well. *Outstanding*" (06/2018) 91 points Decanter: "The Vireuils is superb in this ...Read More »

Sexy aromas of lemon zest, mandarin orange and apple complicated by ginger and exotic tea, with a note of saltwater taffy emerging with air. Densely packed and serious, showing a restrained sweetness to its stony, salty mineral and citrus flavors. A bit youthfully clenched on the finish, but shows noteworthy intensity and length. 2010 Domaine J.-F. Coche-Dury Auxey-Duresses
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2010 Domaine J.-F. Coche-Dury Auxey-Duresses. From Kermit Lynch Wine Merchant: "One need only speak of Meursault to evoke a myriad of questions regarding the village’s resident icon, Jean-François Coche. He began working in the family vineyards alongside his father, Georges, at the age of fourteen, becoming the third generation of Coches to tend these vines. His marriage to Odile Dury in 1975 added to the family holdings, which lead to the formation of Domaine Coche-Dury. Since then, the enigmatic, modest, Jean-François has only reluctantly accepted the celebrity status of his wines. When asked, he would be most likely say that it is rigor, constant vigilance, and adherence to old-school tradition that makes the wines so special. Jean-François’ heritage seems more closely linked to the studious, farmer-monks that once propagated this area of Burgundy during the Middle Ages than to the stocky Gauls of lore, as his work style is almost hermetical. When Kermit,
