Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2017 Quilceda Creek "CVR" Columbia Valley Bordeaux Blend (95JD). Jeb Dunnuck: "The 2017 Columbia Valley CVR is smoking stuff. Based on 96% Cabernet Sauvignon, 3% Merlot, and 1% Cabernet Franc sourced from the Champoux, Galitzine, Palengat, and Wallula Vineyards, it has loads of cassis, toasted spice, graphite, and dried tobacco notes as well as full-bodied richness, a broad, expansive mouthfeel, and sweet tannins. It’s not far off the top releases here, and it remains a stunning value in world-class Cabernet Sauvignon. Drink it any time over the coming 15 years or more." (04/2020)
Starting Bid: $120.00

Bid on this 12-bottle lot of 2013 Michel Gassier "Lou Coucardié" Costières de Nîmes Blanc.

Bid on this bottle of 1975 Bertani Amarone Recioto della Valpolicella Classico Superiore. This historic firm was founded in 1857 at Quinto di Valpentena by brothers Giovanbattista and Gaetano Bertani. This Recioto, among the world longest-lived wines, owes its strength and power from the same method used to make the dry Amarone (grapes picked at optimal ripeness and dried on straw mats in special outbuildings, then pressed and fermented). In this case, however, the resulting wine stops its fermentation early thereby preserving its sweetness. At the table it acts like your finest vintage port, though with less brut alcoholic strength and a more pronounced fruitcake/raisin aroma. This is also tremendous with old and bleu cheeses.
Starting Bid: $100.00

Bid on this bottle of 2017 Quilceda Creek Columbia Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (97JD, 97JS). James Suckling: "Really juicy and savory at the moment with beautiful freshness and linear tightness that frames the wine. It’s full and flavorful with currants, coffee and walnuts. Mahogany, too. The tannins are polished and spread across the palate. Accessible and hard not to drink now, but will age wonderfully, too." (06/2020)
Starting Bid: $110.00

Bid on this 11-bottle lot of 2015 Santa Carolina "Reserva de Familia" Cabernet Sauvignon Maipo Valley (91JS). James Suckling: "Tight and juicy with blackberry and bitter chocolate character. Medium body, tight tannins and a savory finish. " (05/2017)

Lots of complexity and balance with pastry, sliced lemon and light dried mango. Full yet racy and intense. A beautiful center palate. Linear. Shows potential for aging but so good right now." Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2013 Sine Qua Non "...and an Eight Track" Central Coast Rosé (duplicate). Austrian-born and showing up penniless in Los Angeles in 1980, he went on to create one of the greatest wine estates in the world today by sheer talent and work ethic." (JD, 8/2015)

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2012 Corte Sant'Alda "Valmezzane" Amarone della Valpolicella. Since 1986 the dynamic Marinella Camerani has been revitalizing her family estate, located in the foothills of the Lessini Mountains, north east of Verona, with dedication and passion. She has tirelessly worked along with her family, rediscovering abandoned techniques, to produce wines that are authentic to and reflective of the territory of Mezzane. Recently Marinella Camerani replanted some of her vineyards in Albarello to further improve the quality of the wines. She has been a part of the National Organic Program (NOP) for over 10 years, and been practicing biodynamics since 2002, working with the Demeter society for certification. To that end, she purchased twin, rare breed Alpine cows to habitate the estate. In recognition of her work, Gambero Rosso has honored Marinella with the Grower of the Year award.

Both the harvest year and the bottling date are mentioned on the label. This 1965 Coheita was bottled by Wiese & Krohn in 2002 (names of the two Norwegian founders of the firm), who are best known for their Colheitas. Dark honey and candied walnuts are just two of the flavours in a delicious melange.
