2015 Sine Qua Non "Trouver L'Arène" California Syrah
Bid on this bottle of 2015 Sine Qua Non "Trouver L'Arène" California Syrah (100JD, 100RP, 97VN). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Composed of 80.5% Syrah, 7% Petite Syrah, 7% Mourvèdre, 2% Grenache and 3.5% Viognier, all sourced from estate vineyards—37% The Third Twin, 36% Eleven Confessions and 27% Cumulus—the 2015 Syrah Trouver L’Arene was made using 34% whole cluster and has a deep purple-black color with intense cassis, black plums and black cherries scents plus hints of anise, violets, sage and tar, with wafts of savory/smoked meat suggestions. Full-bodied, this voluptuous beauty is seriously singing in the mouth, belting out vibrant red and black fruit flavor layers, all framed by very fine, rounded, ripe tannins and a wonderful freshness, finishing with persistent perfumed fruit and a spring in its step. (LPB)" (09/2017)

1994 Cune (CVNE) Imperial Gran Reserva Rioja
Bid on this bottle of 1994 Cune (CVNE) Imperial Gran Reserva Rioja (93JG, 92VN). John Gilman: "The 1994 Imperial Gran Reserva is another stellar young vintage of this bottling, and it will be a great pleasure to compare the evolution of the 1994 and 1995 versions of Imperial over the coming three or four decades. The 1994 offers up a more black fruity bouquet than the ’95, jumping from the glass in a superb blend of dark berries, cassis, Rioja spice tones, a beautifully complex base of soil, coffee, cigar smoke and a touch of spicy wood. On the palate the wine is deep, full-bodied, young and rock solid at the core, with well-measured, suave tannins, lovely focus and nascent complexity and excellent grip on the very long and intensely flavored finish. A beautiful Imperial in the making. (Drink between 2018-2050) 93+ points" (12/2014)

2008 Domaine Drouhin "Cuvée Laurène" Willamette Valley Pinot Noir
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2008 Domaine Drouhin "Cuvée Laurène" Willamette Valley Pinot Noir (93VN, 91RP, 91WS). Vinous: "Deep red. Captivating, highly perfumed aromas of raspberry, pepper, Asian spices, cocoa powder and rose; brighter and more precise than the regular bottling. Then juicy and penetrating in the mouth, with brilliantly fresh raspberry and wild strawberry flavors that stain the palate. Finishes tangy and long, with a whiplash of mineral-accented red fruits and flowers. This one really calls for a decade of aging, even if there's plenty to like now. Aged in 30% new oak. Of the 2005 Betz "Père de Famille" Columbia Valley Cabernet Sauvignon,Wine Enthusiast writes: "The fragrance is almost otherworldly; sweet, dense and lightly lifted. This is a sinewy wine, that begins with compact power and focused, tart red fruits—predominantly raspberry and currant. At first juicy and tart, with hours of breathing time the wine broadens out into a wider spectrum of Cabernet fruits; cassis, blackberry, and black cherry. *Cellar Selection* (PG)" (08/2008)

2012 Prisoner Wine Company "The Prisoner" Napa Valley Red Blend (3L)
Bid on this 3L-bottle of 2012 Prisoner Wine Company "The Prisoner" Napa Valley Red Blend (3L). A perennial favorite as a crowd-pleaser and fun Napa red, the 2012 Prisoner is Zinfandel-based (46%) blend with a balance of Cabernet Sauvignon, Petite Sirah, Syrah, and just a splash of Charbono. It was sourced from well-known vineyards such as Heitz Ink Grade, Somerson, Solari, and York Creek. The wine was aged in a combination of French and American oak (30% new) before bottling. This eclectic wine has found a following from lovers of fruit-forward and jammy wines, but it has enough substance to please those who prefer their California reds a bit more structured. Not just a cocktail wine, this hefty red pairs very well with braised meats and barbecue. From winemaker Jen Beloz: "The wine has a deep ruby red hue that is framed in rich crimson. Aromas of black cherry and plum, surrounded by roasted coffee beans and vanillin oak accents. The entry is powerful and lush with flavors of bing cher

1971 DRC Domaine de la Romanée-Conti La Tâche
Bid on this bottle of 1971 DRC Domaine de la Romanée-Conti La Tâche (95BH, 90RP). Allen Meadows - Burghound: "Classic and very ripe mature burg fruit intermingles with a wonderful array of spices, especially anise and soy all of which are framed by a touch of caramel. The flavors are extremely rich, sweet and wonderfully concentrated with a deep, very sweet essence of pinot finish that still retains glimpses of its former power. The tannins are fully resolved and the finish is nothing but pure silk and velvet. Tasted many times and while there is some bottle variation, well-stored bottles are consistently marvelous." 2014 Cayuse "Armada Vineyard" Walla Walla Valley Syrah
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2014 Cayuse "Armada Vineyard" Walla Walla Valley Syrah (99RP, 94VN, 93WE, 92WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "From the highest density vineyard planted under the Cayuse label, the 489-case 2014 Syrah Armada Vineyard is about as umami and earthy as it gets. Smoke, fireplace, mushroom, black cherry, currants and olive notes all emerge from this rich, backward, tight and structured Syrah that has incredible purity of fruit, a saline/bloody, meaty character that develops with time in the glass, and tons of tannic bite on the finish. Forget this incredible wine for 4-5 years and enjoy over the following two decades. (JD) 99+" (06/2017)

James Suckling: "A wonderful purity of fruit to this red with violets, currants and hints of mint. Full body, with ultra-fine tannins and a long and intense finish. There's a savory, dynamic citrus acidity and complex terracotta and iron undertone. Needs three or four years to soften. 61% cabernet sauvignon, 29% carmenere, 9% cabernet franc, 1% petit verdot. Better in 2018. " (06/2014)
