Importer's notes: "The Wittmann Estate Riesling Trocken is harvested by hand from estate-owned vineyards around the village of Westhofen. It is fermented with native yeasts and matured in large, neutral oak casks. The wine shows a deep, stony aroma, with an elegant structure and bright citrus juice that leads to a lingering, piquant finish."

95 points James Suckling: "Lavish yellow fruit, including some almost overripe pineapple. This just avoids tipping into opulence; there's healthy acidity and that lifts this monster dry riesling at the bold, herbal finish. From almost 70 year old vines. Biodynamically grown grapes. Respekt certified. Drink or hold." (09/2018) 94 points Wine Enthusiast: "Intensely smoky, spicy mineral tones accent buoyant white grapefruit and lemon in this intensely ripe yet pertly balanced Riesling. Sourced from fruit grown in the producer's warmest south-facing slopes...

Bid on this bottle of 2011 Keller "Abtserde" Riesling Grosses Gewächs (96RP, 93ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The initial impression garnered from Keller's 2011 Westhofener Brunnenhauschen - Abtserde Riesling Grosses Gewachs is somewhat severe and tight, but it rapidly opens with airing and warmth to reveal a dynamic interaction of deeply-etched, predominantly piquant scents and flavors: boxwood and rosemary; rowan, buddleia and heliotrope; apple and white peach with prominent pip and pit; grapefruit and kumquat with prominent zest; stone, salt, struck flint, and alkali. There's such energy and grip in the finish you think your mouth can't contain it! Yet there is at the same time a billowing, wafting sense of what can only be called capital "E" elegance. This remarkable wine should be enthralling to follow over the coming decade and beyond, and a bottle that had been open for a day was even more compelling than one freshly-opened. (DS)" (02/2013)

Bid on this bottle of 2007 Keller "Dalsheimer Hubacker" Riesling Grosses Gewächs (95JG, 94ST, 92RP). John Gilman: "The 2007 Hubacker GG from Klaus-Peter Keller is drinking quite nicely, even from magnum, and seems in a better place for current drinking than the 2006 Kirchspiel. The bouquet is still a tad youthfully reductive, but with a bit of swirling offers up a superb blend of grapefruit, wild yeasts, red slate, dried flowers, orange peel and a smoky topnote. On the palate the wine is deep, full-bodied, complex and beautifully delineated today, with a rock solid core, great transparency, bright acids and outstanding cut and grip on the long and nascently complex finish. I know that this is still many years from its true apogee, but it was awfully hard not to enjoy it immensely at the Rieslingfeier this year! 95+" (07/2016)

Bid on this bottle of 2007 Keller "Westhofener Kirchspiel" Riesling Grosses Gewächs Rheinhessen (93VN, 92RP). Vinous: "Delicate aromas of apricot, toasted pine nuts and lemon oil. The wine's silky texture and filigree pineapple flavor are nicely framed by an understated acidity. A persistent spiciness lingers on the finish. A very seductive wine, and the most elegant of Keller's dry Rieslings. (JP)" (01/2009)
