Avinyó is grower producer Cava, and unlike some of their neighbors they proudly market themselves as Cava. They only make wines from their own vineyards, which they farm organically. La Ticota is Avinyo’s oldest single vineyard. This is a wine that is only made in the best of vintages. La Ticota is a 2ha plot that was planted to Xarel-lo and Macabeu in 1945 in calcareous clay soils. This Gran Reserva is aged for over five years on its lees.
