Poderi San Lazzaro is a 15-hectare, organically-farmed estate in the Marche, located between the Apennine Mountains and the Adriatic Sea. This lovely and wonderfully affordable Sangiovese shows hints of smoke to complement the floral, cherry-inflected nose. The fruit is clean on the palate, which is medium-bodied, with good acidity, soft tannins and a vein of minerality. Great for pasta night.

Producer's notes: "It is the wine with which Belisario has experienced the greatest emotions. It was the first Verdicchio in the "Riserva" type. Produced since 1988 only with Verdicchio grapes vinified with the method of cryomaceration.
